$12 for WHAT???

Posted: October 18, 2010 by THE Drama Mama in Now THAT was a bad transaction.

$12 PLUS shipping for this? Really? The seller needs to refund the $12.00, PLUS shipping and have the buyer FFS it.

WWYD? Item not as described, issues…

I recently bought a diaper I’ve wanted FOREVER! The mama is new here (has less than 5 ratings but 100% feedback), so I took a chance since I can’t find another one anywhere. Everything went fine, she was very nice, and I got the diaper today. It’s a Fuzzi Bunz, and the waterproof stuff has completely come off of 80-90% of the diaper! So I can’t use it at all. I mean, I guess it could be used as a fitted. I paid $12 for it (no insert). I sent the mama a message and she’s gotten back to me quickly, offered a refund immediately, but when I asked about getting shipping back as well, she refused. Her solution is that she can refund the $12 (which I will have fees taken out for anyways) and I can send it back, or she can refund $6 (which I will also have fees taken and I can keep the diaper. I don’t really find either solution acceptable. I’m not wanting to make money off of her! I’m just wanting to be not be out anything (other than pp fees) in the end since I am not at fault. She said basically why should she double pay to ship a diaper. Um… because you sent a diaper that isn’t as described and can’t be used. I’m wanting to know if I’m in the wrong for wanting a full refund plus shipping back to her? WWYD?

Here are pics of the diaper:

That is some serious low down dirtiness. Wow.

  2. kateri25 says:

that diaper is so not usable, and not worth $12 refund the momma There is no way it is even worth $6.

  3. ~*~Momma~*~ says:

  4. MajKitab says:

    is that a blueberry?

  5. MajKitab says:

idk know why im asking that sht just looks familiar to one I bought but like a year ago.. hmm i wonder about the seller… that is a really crappy very used diaper.

  6. MajKitab says:

DUH, it says Fuzzi right in the post. OK, goodbye now. LOl.

  7. smartassmama says:

I didn’t know FB made that print. Hmm. I’m outta the FB loop though.
That diaper is only good as ffs. A swim diaper. Only use I’d see for it. How would the seller not notice that?

  8. not me at all says:

Wonder what THIS is all about? Who wants to be that FG has been doing a bit of bashing themselves?

Re: Franklin Goose freezing credits…..Please read first post
Ladies, I have spoken to someone from franklin goose and I will tell you I am surprised at what I found out. This thread will be closed again, sorry if you don’t agree but it is my job as an Admin to make sure company bashing is not going on. After finding out what I just heard from the company, I can not allow this thread to stay up and continue with the bashing. You can post about FG as long as it doesn’t stir drama ( I do understand many are disappointed right now but more is going on then many of you know) The company is going to fulfill their obligations to everyone who’s been honest with their one account with FG.

  9. Mommy Grizzly says:

Well, just today I have read 2 FG JARs… so, it’d not be unbelievable that there is some shit talking going on about FG. Furthermore, FG should just grin and wear every bit of that shit.

  10. Redhead says:

Ug. Sally is the one who banned me. -angry eyes-

  11. mamatocuties says:

I have the exact same FB, same print, and the exact same issue. I got it FFS on Spots like two months ago though. We use it as a fitted, I just tore the plastic stuff out. It works great but not worth $12 imo

  12. Mommy Grizzly says:

Redhead, she only banned you so you’d have more quality time to spend with me and the Bouncing Psychos of the world… πŸ˜€

  13. CJ says:

Why is this woman saying that she will be out pp fees? If the seller refunds her money she doesn’t have to pay fees for that. She mentioned the fees 3 times in her post. Have I missed a new PP policy? She shouldn’t be out anything for a refund.

  14. not me at all says:

PP is charging for refunds now…

  15. kimbella says:

What I don’t understand about FG is that some people are STILL waiting on orders they placed in April, yet the order I placed in August shipped in 7 days. The order was 100% credits, and one of the items from the order was listed as being on backorder for 2 – 3 weeks.

Not that I’m complaining, but why was my order fulfilled so quickly when other people have been waiting for months?

  16. Redhead says:

FB shipped all of my order, credits and real $$, within 2 months of me placing an order.

  17. Redhead says:

    FG, I mean.

  18. Flat Stainley says:

I think the seller should refund the buyer te $12 plus half of shipping and let her keep the diaper as a fitted. Total misrepresentation should not warrant refusing to refund on shipping. If the buyer doesn’t want to keep it, she should be refunded in full and list it FFS.
15-you lucked out. Your situation was unique and there was no rhyme or reason to any of FG’s shipping policies or how they filled any orders.

  19. Taterbug says:

It would not surprise me at all to learn that there have been people who created more than one account in order to get more free stuff. Isn’t that what happened when RME first came out? Except then, people were using Social Security Numbers that did not belong to them in order to create multiple accounts. If that is what happened, it sucks that honest people will have to wait a ridiculous amount of time because of the actions of dishonest people.

I will freely acknowledge that it is just as likely that FG is throwing out a red herring to take some of the heat off them for awhile.

  20. DSDM2 says:

FG had no limit, so no need for more then one account, there also was no TOS, so them now claiming there was is bull shit.

  21. Carla G says:

I’m very curious about what is going on with FG. I have no problems with them. They shipped my items (100% credit) in a decent amount of time. They were nothing but nice in responses to my emails. I have no complaints about them. I am SURE many people took advantage of them, though. There is one person I suspect on diaperswappers of doing multiple accounts and “reviewing” everything on their site. I’ve just caught her in lie after lie about what she has received, how many, what she has ordered, credits, ect. She posted on several FG threads and non related threads and her story kept changing. I am sure she isn’t the only one to go to the extremes with their promotion.

  22. DSDM2 says:

Carla, there is no “extremes” with it, there were no limit and no rules. She very well was within the promotion rules and could review every item on the site and get $$ for each of those. Right or wrong is a matter of opinion. If there was a limit and she was making new accounts to bypass that, then there would be a problem with those ethics, but as the promotion was set up, multiple accounts, multiple reviews, etc were not against the rules.

  23. sourpatchbabe says:

1 Your child is molested by her grandfather (who tried to touch your other child as well)
2 you’re blackmailing him for thousands of dollars
3 your child is depressed and has made several comments that hint of suicide
4 you don’t know what to do because the grandparents invited your family over for the holidays
5 but she should be glad that she was only touched in the chest area and not in her genitals?

    Something’s rotten in Denmark.

  24. smartassmama says:

Oh I saw that one. I just could not comment at all. Disbelief.

  25. sourpatchbabe says:

I know, and now according to her all the mamas who have told her to stop doing this and alert the police are horrible because

“Even my own sister said ‘geez it’s not like he raped her’ and berated me for being so upset about it.”

I feel so bad for her children, being forced to keep quiet so that mom can go on shopping sprees. I mean, God forbid that they were forced to go on foodstamps and be humiliated by that.

  26. piratebaby says:

can anyone post under *Anonymous* or is that a unique un? Because 2 wks ago she posted that her kids were only 2 and 4, both boys, she’s in love with another man, her husband abuses her verbally/physically. Long post, just like the molestation one. Back in June she’s uncomfortable with her dh’s work relationship, in March she asks for natural remedies for paranoia. Either she’s a troll with a vivid imagination, or she has a very serious mental problem that makes me fear for the safety of her children…

  27. smartassmama says:

It is an account that you have to contact a mod to get access to. if any one person has used it twice, it is coincedence. There is a sticky about it a few posts about that one. I think you get the PW for 24hrs maybe? So no, not all the same person. πŸ˜‰

  28. not me at all says:

I know I was totally honest with FG. Did a few reviews ordered a few diapers that I have not received and they have been nothing but rude to me the whole time when they bothered to respond at all. I paid a few dollars of real money back in July and still did not get my order. They was DS is defending them makes me totally sick.

    Unrelated question:
Wasn’t there a board that was kind of a drama of MDC type board? I used to know what it was but I forgot.

  29. adensmama says:

Franklin Goose needs to stop accusing EVERYone else of wronging them. It was a horrible business decision on their part that landed them in this mess in the first place.

Are people being whiny bitches about it? Heck yes! But I don’t feel sorry for FG in the least.

  30. Redhead says:

29- Yes, they definitely should have laid ground rules in the beginning.
It was too vague, which is leading to way too many problems now. Their fault.

I don’t agree that people should take advantage of a situation if given the opportunity, though.

  31. Kirsty says:

23- I know, eh. I guess some people kid’s privacy and bodies come at a cost. FOr this person it’s like $25,000.

  32. Amygamie says:

I’m hoping that DS has a ticker of how long she has to report the situation to authorities. Alerting the authorities when the daughter isn’t ready isn’t going to cause any more issues than what she is doing now. It is obviously bothering the girl because she is acting out towards her mom.

It burns my ass when she said, “So I made it a point that she really should go so if/when we press charges on him, it’s on record that she has been in counseling and what happened.” Yeah biotch because making yourself good is what really matters at a time like this. Everything she says is an excuse so she doesn’t look bad. They were living on their own before this came out in the open, but all of a sudden now they would have to go on foodstamps and be homeless if they didn’t take money from him. Whatever. She gets no sympathy from me whatsoever. Her kids now… that is a different story. I do judge when it comes down to making the right decision for her kids and their well being. Making one or two mistakes is understandable but continuously doing so just shows that you are selfish…. 25K selfish.

It wasn’t even him offering the money, it was her asking/blackmailing him for it. What a Class A cooter.

  33. MOMWITHMANY says:

31- $25,000 so far,but don’t forget she was planning on asking for over $100,000 so they could move away.Apparently buying MOMMY a new house will somehow help her daughters heal. It makes me sick to see kids being used as a money ticket.

  34. dundundun says:

Eugh, I felt bad when I read the first few sentences of that post but my emotion soon turned to disgust. I GUESS I can see her point of saying that she was at least only touched on her chest and not actually raped, but that single fact does not exclude the friggin’ fact that it was wrong and needs to be dealt with. Don’t press charges and it might not be as simple as improper touching next time. She’s only looking out for herself, not future children that could be affected by this nutbag.

If my FIL touched my children I speak to him without wishing him a proper, painful death so I couldn’t even imagine being all, “Yo… momma needs an audi. Money, pls?” All she’s doing is proving to her FIL that he can get away with shit like this just by giving hush money.

I know being a mom can be hard and all but this kind of seems like a no brainer to me.

  35. dundundun says:

If my FIL touched my children I couldn’t speak to him*….

I really need to learn to proofread. Fo’ serious.

  36. Mommy Grizzly says:

    I agree.

  37. adensmama says:

She said that they relied on FIL for her DH’s medical bills before this happened. I don’t know what’s wrong with her DH but he made some comment like “you’ll just have to wait until after I die then”- so cancer maybe?

  38. MOMWITHMANY says:

    POOF it’s gone!

  39. rainbow says:

Yes, because apparently since people didn’t give her enough love and support, she might not feel loved at DS anymore. Seriously?? That is not a situation that has anything to do with ducks and bunnies. The mama needs a wake-up call!

  40. .bin. says:

I wonder if she even realizes ethat all that hate her daughter is feeling isn’t only towards her abuser, but is also towards HER. I’m sure the daughter doesn’t get it yet, but she will. One day she’ll realize why she was so angry, and why it wasn’t towards her attacker, but was towards the woman who was profiting from it.

oh but let’s delete it so that this “mama” feels comfortable and happy here at DS land of the delusional.

  41. aDivasMommy says:

I read this one the other day. I feel so horrible for the little girl. I didn’t read everything, but why was she even asking for money anyway? Maybe I am just a little stupid. But is that what people do when this happens?

  42. Kim,A says:

Ok OT but was there a certian person I should look out for when selling diapers so they can resale? They often ask for a few dollars off?? I have a situation and kinda need to know if this is the same person before I sell. Did she have her own business and website??Thanks!

  43. sourpatchbabe says:

The mom was asking for money to make him “pay” according to her. 2-3k more than they needed a month to pay the bills. I don’t care if I end up living in a cardboard box with my children if it means being able to hold up my head and say that I protected my child from his/her abuser. I want to know how this woman can look at her daughter in the eyes and say that she’s done everything she could for her.

  44. Leah says:

My grandad molested my nieces last year and I seriously wanted to throw away everything that I could connect back to him. I couldn’t imagine how these girls feel knowing their mom is taking his money. I don’t think any teenager is calloused enough to prefer the shame of Pervy Papa sugar daddy over foodstamps. And the abuser is the one who said he just touched her chest, no telling what all he actually did since the girl hasn’t had a therapist she could open up to.

  45. smartassmama says:

I was just coming here to get the link to make sure I’m not crazy, it was deleted.

Because Lord knows, we all should tell her to go for at least half a mill, so she can get a couple jet skis and an Escalade too.

Maybe, just maybe though, someone took it upon themselves to find her address and report it for her daughter. And maybe when the daughter is grown and on her way to being a healed adult, she’ll have a stranger on the internet to thank for helping her when her mom wouldn’t.

I know it’s my ridiculously nosy side, but I’m wracking my brain trying to remember what DS member has grown children. IIRC, she referred to this teen daughter as her youngest daughter.

  46. smartassmama says:

S_F_F: The replies although are honest opinions got to be too much and we don’t want that member to feel attacked and end up leaving the site over this without having support here from the board, this could be her only place she has to ask for help, we just don’t know, so we moved it out.

  47. lil'mama says:

Awaiting moderation because I posted under my real name. lol

  48. Syrinx says:

It went poof because someone told that maternal parental unit (cause I can’t bring myself to call her a mother) the truth about her situation? Seriously? I even the harshest comments were too nice.
I hope there’s a mandated reporter mod who knows enough about it to report it. There’s so much crime going on in that family, it’s not even funny.

  49. Syrinx says:

    * thought (me brain goes faster than me fingers, argh!)

  50. Redhead says:

SFF is like the queen of “A$$pats for the trolls” on DS.

  51. aDivasMommy says:

Seriously. This is why I try avoiding DS. She posted it to get responses, got them and the mods took over.
Stupid… Almost as stupid as asking for money to ‘pay’ for what he did… I feel sorry for her children as well.

  52. Syrinx says:

Pst..Redhead, you’re not on DS right now, so you don’t have to hide your wordy dirds.

  53. MOMWITHMANY says:

I don’t buy it that they deleted it because people weren’t giving her support, I have seen people truly get their butts chewed and no one cared at all. I think they are just covering their behinds. She is posting on their forum with mandated reporters that several crimes are going on and that she isn’t doing anything about it. It’s hard to play dumb when it’s right there in black and white. For what’s it’s worth thought I am 100% positive H2BAM will call it in ,she hinted as much in her post. She really does seem to care and she’s great at tracking down info. This needs to be stopped.

  54. MOMWITHMANY says:

#44- I was trying to be nice and give her support, but I needed more time to get back from hallmark with the mother of the year for profiting from your daughters pain card. I even got a free teddy bear with purchase.

  55. lil'mama says:

My other post never showed up on here. *headscratch*

  56. shelbell says:

Anybody see the icon on the bottom of each page on ds that says:

Security Verified Seal and has a scan date that reports them clean?

    Is that new?

  57. Carla G says:

DSDM2, how do you know who i am talking about? Yes, it is scamming to review products you have never used or owned. Yes, I suspect this person of having more than 1 account. I am very well aware that someone could review a TON of items on the site and get a great deal of credits. I was one of them. I couldn’t review everything, or anywhere near it, but I was able to review a decent amount. This person I suspect went above and beyond what I would consider within their guidelines.

  58. Carla G says:

that whole thread about the grandfather touching the granddaughter made me want to puke. I read several pages, but had to stop. I can’t believe that woman acting as if it isn’t that big of a deal. I wonder if she’ll feel that way if her daughter commits suicide from the depression and betrayal she is feeling 😦 I hope H2BAM does call it in. She is a very kind and generous person and really does care about people. I know she showed me kindness and helped me when she didn’t have to. Went out of her way to do so.

  59. aDivasMommy says:

I hope she calls it in as well. 😦 If that’s ‘nothing’ I’d like to know what ‘something’ is…

  60. Snickerdoodle says:

I missed the grandfather touching the granddaughter blackmail thread. I saw the link before it was deleted but just knowing what it was about made me feel sick to my stomach. I didn’t/couldn’t read that thread.

  61. smartassmama says:

In case anyone has been following, the OP from the thread about the boyfriend hitting her finally came back and updated, after mods got her address from a prior transaction, called her local PD, and asked them to check on her. The update is on the last page.

  62. Mommy Grizzly says:

    is it in SS?

  63. smartassmama says:

    Nah. I’ll link.

  64. Snickerdoodle says:

59-Well 18 pages later… everyone was really freaking out huh? Even sent an officer to check on her.

That whole thing was really really weird. the update was weird too. I guess Im glad to know she is loving life and baking cookies now. πŸ™‚

  65. amessymama says:

OK, I don’t know much about domestic violence, but don’t victims usually try to hide it and not tell thousands of people across the internet? That’s why I usually don’t believe these stories. They just seem like they are drama seeking to me.

And I’m not just talking about the ones on DS either….

  66. amessymama says:

I’m sorry that last sentence should have read:

And I’m not just talkin’ ’bout the ones on DS either…

  67. MOMWITHMANY says:

I don’t know if she made it up ,but I think she may have changed her mind about leaving and was hoping everyone would move on and forget. But when the police knocked on her door, she decided it was time to make everything sunshine and roses so that she can go back to him. My guess is that she will post lots of warm fuzzies for awhile and then fade back into ds obscureness and continue with her relationship. I think she was really mad when she wrote that(maybe she even forgot it was on there and she just never thought anyone would ever call the police.

  68. DSDM2 says:

I think these women might actually be posting the truth, but they think that they are so annoymous that no one will ever find out who they are, call the police or CPS, or get involved.

  69. MOMWITHMANY says:

#69 -When I first joined ds it was like that and there was some crazy stuff. But it seems like in about the last 6 months they have really gotten involved. Which in some cases may have been necessary and others were out of bounds in my opinion. I don’t really think that anything is ever truly anonymous anymore with all the technology we have today.

  70. amessymama says:

It’s because of the possibility that it is the truth that I don’t even post my thoughts on their threads. I still have my doubts but like Is said, I know nothing of DV. Unfortunately, other seem to know plenty. 😦

Maybe the lady locked in the shed by her DH ruined it for me.

  71. norrahsmommy says:

So can anyone point me to a newbie knitting pattern for anything that is easy and not too expensive. I know how to cast on and do a few stitches, but I’m still pretty crappy at it. Thanks.

  72. Mommy Grizzly says:

What sort of something did you have in mind, norrahsmommy? There are lots of free patterns so finding one isn’t hard but you need to narrow down the field some.

  73. dundundun says:

Momma Grizzles.. someone wants me to knit him a penis sweater. That a hard one to find?

  74. Kirsty says:

72- I started with scarves. 1st a garter stitch and the next in stockinette- just until I got a good handle on knitting, purling and tension. Then I moved onto toques to get the hang of decreases and knitting in the round. But I don’t know if you live somewhere that you would need all that winter outerwear lol.

  75. Mommy Grizzly says:

    I sent linkies but they are in mod… I found 2, dunx3.

  76. dundundun says:

LMFAO.. Oh, I can’t *wait* to see this.

I know what DH is getting for Crrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiimmmmuuuusssssss!

  77. Mommy Grizzly says:

and some more words to get the second one…http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/seamless-willie-warmer

  78. dundundun says:

LOL, I am so starting tonight.

  79. dundundun says:

EUGH, great. I wasn’t on Rav until just now. I will probably be obsessed with knitting by next weekend.

I gotta practice more, though. I’m only keen on casting on and a knit stich. Haven’t even tried the purl.. or anything else for that matter.

  80. Mommy Grizzly says:

http://www.KnittingHelp.com has a lot of videos for different stitches, all in one place.

Purl is the same as knit, you just go at it from a different direction so the wrap part of the stitch is in the front not back.

  81. Mommy Grizzly says:

add roguebruin to your friends on rav, dunx3. πŸ˜‰

  82. dundundun says:

    woot… added ya. bayNlace πŸ™‚

I absolutely LOVE that Beanpole Beanie!!

  83. Mommy Grizzly says:

Thanks, I got the yarn from Peachy and that’s what it wanted to be. I cant get crap for good pics in the house so I made my daughter model it for me. It turned out sooo cute! It was super simple to make, too!

  84. norrahsmommy says:

I’m not really picky on what it is. I can cast on, purl and knit but that’s about it. I don’t really know what would be the easiest to start out with. I learned how to do those by watching videos but I’d like to try something other than a square. πŸ™‚

  85. Mommy Grizzly says:

How do you feel about knitting 2 together and yarning over? those are pretty simple, do you think they are within your scope of “can-do-ness”?

  86. Mommy Grizzly says:

and, do you already have a needle size and yarn in mind for the project?

  87. norrahsmommy says:

I’ve got yarn (cheapie stuff I got at WM) and needles- any size I can get them. I have some that are 6 (I think) and if I need a different size I can get them though.

  88. Mommy Grizzly says:

ok, what do you think about knitting a little neck wrap/cowl type of thing?

gauge is not super important, it is more than a square but doesnt require decreasing to DPN or MLing, and, if it doesnt turn out to be something you would wear, you can give it to the kids to play with!

  89. Redhead says:

Mittens are easy, there is a great tutorial on youtube, I’ll look for it.

  90. nu says:

I certainly hope that the mama with the abusive boyfriend truly does move on. I’m sure it’s hard since they do share a child together.

My father was abusive to my mother. Images and sounds of your mother being beat are not pleasant.

I, too, think that she didn’t realize that someone would contact the police to check on her.

I’ve found the moms on DS and CDN to be very caring and there when you them. (maybe like that on other forums, but those are the ones I use/used)

  91. norrahsmommy says:

I am willing to try it.

  92. Goomba'sMom says:

Anyone want to take this one? Someone posted this mama’s store the other day, now she’s asking for advice. Guess no one wants her uneven “hand cut” wipes? http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1096941

  93. Goomba'sMom says:

Oh, just realized it’s an opt-in forum, sorry i has teh noobz.

I am just trying to cover my behind so to speak, since my wares aren’t mass-produced machine made items. I was bashed on another forum for this, and I didnt think there was anything wrong with it, but maybe I’m wrong? TIA!!

Won’t let me view it 😦

  95. Mommy Grizzly says:

We already bashed her here so unless she was somewhere else, already, we were the ones that had crap to say about her *ahem* productions.

First of all, they are crooked and misshapen as all hell. I don’t care how many times you tell me they are not mass produced and that you are just a work at home mom. If you are selling something you want me to buy, and you represent it as a square, it better be a god damn square! Saying that they are hand-cut is a given and is not a CYA for “I was drunk or stoned when I cut these and thought the zombies were going to eat my brainz so I cut them while I was running to the ‘olli-olli-oxen-free’ safe zone.!” The things are like 5 inches, how farking hard is it to cut/rip/sew straight for 5 inches at a time?

I am going to order something. I want it NOWish. You say it is going to take 1-2 weeks, possibly longer for you to cut and sew a crooked ass, sorry excuse for a square? Really? Work faster or don’t take customs cause that’s crazy that I might want say 6 wipes in a fabric you don’t already have made up and you say it’ll take 1-2 weeks even before mailing time.

Most of the fabric she’s using is available at ANY Joanns. I know, because I have some of it myself. It’s not super high quality and will not hold up well with the way she has them surged. The weave of the flannel is just too lose, and the flannel literally pulls out where the sewing is unless it’s backed by something more stable. I use them around my house and they are fine but definitely not the kind of quality I’d pay someone else to make, even if they could cut and sew straight.

If cutting is such an issue for her, it is totally possible to nip and then rip along the grain to get a straight line. If she’s sewing it up the way she is, that bit of loose fiber from ripping would all get cut off so she’d end up with a pretty consistent product. Same with using a rotary cutter. The solutions to her problems are such easy fixes, claiming them as “expected flaws” is ridiculous.

She has an “I win, you lose!” policy for her own fuck ups. Example: Wipes and shirts are cut and sewn by hand. *technically, they are sewing by machine, there is a difference* Sizes are approximate, *so, If I order a 24 month and you make me a 18 or 36 month, I am to just smile and take it because…* and as they are handmade items, *?* flaws may be present. *I get it, flaws sometimes happen, that’s why people sell SECONDS. Don’t ask me to pay full price if you cannot give me first quality products!* If you feel that your purchased item is flawed to the point of dysfunctional, you may return it for a refund, shipping at your expense. *Ok, so, YOU make me a product. You mail it to me. I get it and realize you had spiked whatever you were drinking when you did your quality control, so I complain. I have to send the product back to you before you refund me and I’m out the shipping. Why is it that I should do business with you? YOU made the product SO badly it cannot be used for its intended purpose and I’m out money? I’ll pass.* If I have misrepresented an item, I will do my best to make it right for you. *Oh, I get it. If YOU are happy with the way you resolved a situation caused BY YOU, then, that’s all that matters, right? I’m good, I’ll pass.*

  96. Mommy Grizzly says:

Dunx3, it’s about that psycho ass WAHM that was selling 5 sided sewn pieces of flannel she called square wipes. We talked about her in a different comment thread a few (ish) weeks ago.

  97. Redhead says:

And she is besties with RebelsMommy.. so we all know she is a quality person to support! :/

  98. dundundun says:

Ah, yeah. I’m all caught up. Thanks.

I’m about to bust some knitting tuts. I haz to enhance mah skillz to make the penis jackets!

  99. Mommy Grizzly says:

yeah, every man needs a pee pee cozee!

  100. melmelly says:

    pee pee cozee

  101. Mommy Grizzly says:

It’s even got a “nest” for his “nesticals!”

  102. melmelly says:

I am so making one of those tonight for DH!

  103. Mommy Grizzly says:

Dunx3 picked the second link — post 79. I have to say, if I were in the market for a jacketed penis, that’s the one I’d want to see it in. Classy!

  104. dundundun says:

Would it be inappropriate to give to all my male friends for Crimmus?

  105. melmelly says:

    Isn’t Olivia’s Mommy also Sunshine74 on here?

Sheesh. Come and defend your shiz. Something like you are a beginner sewer or something.

And the ‘fine print” needs to be reworded.

  106. dundundun says:

DH better be glad that his balls are going to be cozy warm because I just literally gashed open my knee with my scissors.

So, uh, anyone know what the recommended time frame is for getting a tetanus shot after possible exposure? These scissors aren’t spring chickens if you catch my drift.

  107. Mommy Grizzly says:

24 hours, IIRC. They are good for 10 years, and boosters are usually given at 16, so, you might be OK but if you are even a little NOT SURE, get to public health!

  108. dundundun says:

My GP takes urgent walk-ins on Saturdays.. I’m sure they’d have it on hand, right?

I know I had a tetanus shot when I was a wee one, but I don’t recall a booster. I could be wrong. I suppose I shall call in the morning. Gotta protect the fetus and all.

  109. Redhead says:

jest poar sum whiskey on eet!

  110. Mommy Grizzly says:

Yeah, I’d just call your GP before you walk in to be sure they have it or give them time to get it, if they can.

  111. Mommy Grizzly says:

Dont waste it! Drink it! If you drink enough of it, all the pains will go away! πŸ˜‰

  112. dundundun says:

Red.. I’d kill for some damn whiskey. DH decided to get smashed tonight (which is fine, I’ve been kind of a hormonal beeotch) and I so badly wanted to grab his beer and pound it. I already miss a relaxing beverage at the end of a rough day.

I did smother it with peroxide… then alcohol. Now it has a mega-bandage on it.

    Clumsy. I haz sum.

  113. Tired says:

Did you see the post about new FSOT rules on DS? Are they actually taking some steps to decrease some of the scamming? What do you think?

  114. Flat Stainley says:

    Incoming stupid question:
So, how is it that the information will not be made public if it is already posted on a public forum? :/

  115. Tired says:

I was very confused by that part too. Maybe they are saying that the personal information you provide to be a seller won’t be made public??

  116. Mommy Grizzly says:

So, what are they going to do, send someone to verify my home address and that the name I give is the real one? I mean, really, I give the wrong address. I sell something. Are they going to PM everyone I sell to to make sure the return address is the same as the address I gave them?

    What if I move?

  117. smartassmama says:

wth? You have to have 50 positive feedback to be grandfathered in?

I’ve been there over two years, thousands of posts, and I might have had 50 transactions, but I only have like, 17 or 18 feedback. Sure, I might be a big ole bitch but I’m not a scammer.

  118. Kirsty says:

I guess I better hunt down all those bags of douche who couldn’t be bothered to leave me feedback so I can sell my shit. Because it’s possible I was waiting for the exact perfect time to pull out my scam-hammer and that time is 3 years after joining that place.

  119. Snickerdoodle says:

115- I see the beginning of a lot of black market selling going on.

Like, I have never officially sold anything on FSOT but have been contacted via pm if I mention in a post about how I don’t like something or I’m thinking of getting rid of it by someone who wants to buy it. And so then I end up selling it without ever going on FSOT to post it.

I have nowhere near 50 feedback so I guess technically now I shouldn’t be able to sell?

Or is it just being unable to join the special selling group? Which once again leads to lots of PM selling in my opinion.

  120. Snickerdoodle says:

And one more thing. I have NEVER bought from anyone with more than 50 feedback. That just seems crazy to me. What if you don’t have a lot of money and just can’t do 50 transactions in your entire diapering career?

  121. Snickerdoodle says:

    OHHHH I haz the Stewpidz.

Never mind all above questions. Grandfathering in means people with 50 plus feeback will automatically get to join the little selling group, and everyone else has to be a member for 3o days and have whatever number of posts AND fill out an app and have your information be personally verified with PHONE calls!

    Got it.

  122. Mommy Grizzly says:

It’d be easier to go to ebay or CDN to sell. Seriously, if CDN was looking for a way to up their FSOT, this might just be the key! They have to do less to eliminate scamming because they never tolerated it to start with!

I’m not a scammer and I tell you what, I wont be filling out that stupid application to sell on DS. They are already so up in peoples shit, and unethical, I don’t want them to have my personal contact info JUST to have. The honest people that really give it to them will be the ones that get screwed in this.

I can already see it. I’m out to scam, I need 1-an address. 2-a name, may or may not be my own 3-a phone number. For $9, I could get a tracphone from any big box store and get a number or new number assigned and not even buy air time because it comes with some OOTB.

I give DS all this bogus info, start selling, give the people I’m scamming a PP addy, (how many times does the name on the PP we send NOT match up with the person we are sending? I know it’s happened 3 times this last week for me, usually a mans name when I’m buying diapers and yarn from a woman…) get my scam done and I’m out the $9 I spent on the trac phone.

While an honest person does all the required things right and STILL has to go through getting scammed on the other side, “Oh, I didn’t get it!” “Oh, the diapers were not as described!” “Oh, you sent me a small and you said it was a s/m!” or whatever people say in situations like that… The whole thing is just unfortunate. If DS would just allow people to say “Hey, I just got screwed!” in a TIMELY manner, this whole FSOT application and grandfathering would all be moot.

  123. MotherMoonPads says:

I’m glad I’ll be grandfathered in because I’m not cool with DS calling my house to verify who I am.

I’m pretty sure you have to give all that info out anyways to join the swaps forum, I just don’t want them calling me.

  124. Redhead says:

I’d love for them to call me. We’ll have a little chat about something else while they are verifying that I am not a scammer.

  125. chrissyb says:

yuck to the new rules! I was just finishing up some PW longies to sell, or trade for some more yarn. Blah, over to CDN I guess. Stupid. No way jose am I giving anyone at DS my home phone. My adress is fine, comes up in paypal anyway. Not my phone. PITA

  126. Mommy Grizzly says:

LOL Redhead. Give them a little som’tin, ‘eh?

  127. I definitely foresee the FSOT traffic at CDN and Spots’ spiking from this. DS just did them a favor. If they would be more pro-active about scamming in the first place, they wouldn’t need this.

  128. smartassmama says:

I hope it causes traffic to go up at CDN. I really just need to post there more. I’m just a weenie about it I guess.

I don’t want them calling me either. That’s just weird. I do have a third number that we don’t use. I could just give that one. We pay $9.99 a month for it because DH wanted a new phone before his contract date. So it sits on the kitchen counter. i could use that one, but it’s principal. I don’t have anything to sell, but when I do, I’ll try CDN.

  129. kateri25 says:

good maybe someone will buy my diapers off of CDN, good thing I don’t go to DS anymore. I did more than 50 transactions but only had like 10 FBs.

  130. DeviateFromTheNorm says:

131- It’s sad how few people leave feedback, especially now. I’ve done more than 200 transactions in my 3.5 years on DS, and only have 49 feedback. People are lousy at leaving feedback. Maybe now they’ll realize that the five seconds it takes to leave feedback is worth it. Probably not, but maybe. πŸ˜‰

  131. chrissyb says:

ha ha ha, just went back and looked, and I have a feedback rating of 51. Lucky. LOL. Not that I don’t think CDN is probably better, but the reality is things sell easier for a better price on DS, for now. Off to finish up the woolies, mama wants some cashmere to knit herself a nice cowl, lol.

  132. nu says:

My paypal name is under my dh’s name. It’s never been an issue, not to knowledge. Sometimes I’ll let the seller know that it will be from xxx, my husband.

I have over 50, but our diapering days are over, so I’m sure I’ll have very little to sell.

  133. DeviateFromTheNorm says:

Any of you sleuths know who this is? http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/member.php?u=109240
Just joined yesterday, offering no personal info (siggy, intro, etc), but is jumping in and posting like they are VERY familiar with the DS scene. Makes my radar sniff something. I could be wrong, of course, it just seemed weird.
That said, maybe it’s the name and the avatar. Reminds me of our favorite shoe humper.

  134. smartassmama says:

well, she has a mid-30s blonde on her business website. but that doesn’t mean much.

I am tempted to order (trainers would be nice) but she [that you speak of] hates my ass. I’d be screwed.

and she’s long since been eligible to come back.

  135. norrahsmommy says:

Thanks Mommy Grizzly. I’m going to try to knit it this week. πŸ™‚

  136. mom2js says:

135 here is a recent post, she was around, but never says who she is, she needs more posts to have a siggy though…

  137. dundundun says:

Why, oh why, are the ends of my knitting projects so loose? 😦

  138. Mommy Grizzly says:

Dunx3, that’s really very typical for early knitting! Don’t sweat it. You need to just watch the last few stitches of every row and kind of over tighten them, not so much that they cannot go back on the needle, but, so that they are definately tighter than the rest of your knitting. That will help lessen that extra looseness. Also, when you start to use the item or block it, if you do, that will help some with distributing that tension into the main body of the project, also.

    What are you making?

  139. Mommy Grizzly says:

  140. Mommy Grizzly says:

Stupid double post, I sent before I corrected a misspelling.

  141. dundundun says:

    Squares πŸ˜‰

LOL. I’m attempting to “perfect” things before I start trying to make stuff. I’ll be parking it in front of youtube in a few to learn to bind off.

BUT, I think my very first real project is going to be a cap for da baby πŸ™‚ I bought some beautiful white/sparkly yarn yesterday!

  142. Mommy Grizzly says:

IMO, binding off is easiest done with 1 knitting needle and 1 crochet hook. The easiest way to remember is to knit 2 stitches, use crochet hook to put second hook through first, drop first. repeat repeat repeat. Does that help you?

  143. dundundun says:

Yeah, that makes sense. Guess I need to open my crochet beginners kit too! I haven’t even attempted to learn it yet but I did read up on it during our road trip yesterday and it confused me so your suggestion already makes it seem a tad easier.

  144. Mommy Grizzly says:

The crochet hook just makes managing the loop easier. I actually do a lot of knitting with a crochet hook… fixing dropped stitches and cabling. If you don’t have a hook, you can totally do it with 2 needles, it just takes longer and there’s more juggling, IMO.

  145. dundundun says:

I think I’m going to give this a go. I’m itching to make something and this seems pretty damn straight forward. Question is.. I have to sew it together!?

  146. Mommy Grizzly says:

Yes, you would have to seam the edges together somehow. You there is a tutorial I’ll rav the link to you.

  147. Snickerdoodle says:

It looks like the new DS FSOT rules are up for discussion! πŸ™‚

  148. smartassmama says:

The pages don’t want to load for me. I’ll take this as a sign?

  149. Snickerdoodle says:

hah maybe. I checked my link and it is working all right for me. It was 3 pages, now its 10 pages. Growing fast. πŸ™‚ Looks like mostly privacy concerns and people who don’t leave feedback concerns.

  150. Redhead says:

I don’t see why having 50 FB makes you less likely to scam, there have been mamas with 300+ FB who have scammed on DS….

  151. smartassmama says:

I think Hollistaluva deleted her videos.

  152. reddrank says:

happy2Bamommy, “I’m sorry mama. I didn’t mean to say everyone already has your information. I meant to say that with a little digging “I” could have your information. This step simply saves me from doing that digging.”

Like she did when she called child services on that woman! This makes me totally uncomfortable!

  153. dawbs says:

    re: the new FSOT rules/applications/etc,

I’ve not sorted through the entire ‘discussion’ thread but, is that going to be required for FFS?
Because I was given/lent/FFS some stuff that got me started CDing. With an 8 week old baby, I’ve not had time to repay karma yet, but I am planning to list the freebies I was given and some small stuff we don’t need FFS/given away…but I’m sorry, I’m not keen on giving out all of my personal info to an internet stranger to do it. So if they’re including FFS in there…I guess I’ll have to pay it forward elsewhere.

  154. Flat Stainley says:

155- She probably went back for more “free stuff” and got denied. Maybe she’s made the connection that her dishonesty has gotten her noticed. Sad. I found those videos mildly entertaining!

  155. Amygamie says:

She deleted everything. Someone emailed her mother and father linking them up to everything. Today by chance I found another account of hers she had on justmommies, mommytobe07.

  156. Amygamie says:

Maybe the whole 50 feedback thing will get more people leaving feedback or beef up CDN FSOT, Hopefully in a few months I’ll have a reason to buy some cute NB fluffβ™₯β™₯β™₯β™₯. I am lucky I have had 9 transactions on DS and only one person did not leave feedback. Can someone take a screenshot of of my feedback page for me, my computer won’t let me take screenshots for some reason. :/

  157. DSDM2 says:

reddrank, I wouldn’t give her my information and it makes me uncomfortable to ‘have to’, but that ‘child services woman’ is nuts and has been featured here in the past. We call her Tiffa-loony. That call was justified. Just go back and read the posts on DS about it.

I don’t know what to think over the whole new rules thread. The mods are damned if they do and damned if they don’t. First we bitch about open season for scammers, but now we bitch about them trying to protect us.

  158. Redhead says:

I don’t know if the new rules will help or not. I have over 50 + feedback so it shouldn’t affect me.

I think most of this info is pretty easy to find anyway. The “sleuths” on this blog can be pretty evident of that, when a scammer situation is posted.. or something similar to Hollialuva/Disneygurl, we can pull up quite a bit on anyone in just a short bit by using google.

  159. dawbs says:

    161, I agree it’s a catch 22 but if it’s required, I think I”m out. (and I know, I’m a n00b, it carries very little weight, but, still)

    My concerns are
1-WHo are these mods? I mean, yes, they’re mods but do they do ANYTHING to vett these mods other than have them be long-term posters? Background check? bonded? something? I know they’re not asking for DL# and SS# and anything but I do think there’s a difference between me giving my info, through paypal, to a buyer/seller and me putting my contact info on a list for all these mods to see –all I kow about the mods is that they’re long-term-enough to have a ‘mod’ position, but I”ve been a message board mod, it doesn’t prevent me from being Chester the Molester in someone’s basement.

2-Where are they putting/storing this info? The DS security seems lax (to put it mildly) and I can just imagine what happens w/ this information is accessed–(especially since the e-mail address used for paypal is already on the site, etc)

  160. cdnation says:

Well y’all can come over to CDN. We only require 10 posts to see the FSOT.

  161. Mommy Grizzly says:

I’ve had a few transactions at CDN, the issue with people leaving feedback is still there but I, personally, feel a lot more comfortable since CDN members have no issue calling people out when necessary.

  162. Redhead says:

I have never had scammy issues on DS or CDN.
I think it is always good to be cautious and research the person you are buying from. I had a couple of trades I backed out of because they looked too “iffy” for me or the other person was being really demanding.

  163. smartassmama says:

159 – Good! Maybe they’ll realize she’s more Loony Tunes than she is Disney, & they’ll be ISO a padded room.

    And 161, :yeahthat:
While I usually would not agree with H2BAM, on that issue, I completely understand what she did and why. “And that’s all I have to say about tha-at.”

  164. smartassmama says:

anyone following that “pills in the mail” thread? I’m surprised to see how many people who’d usually be so ‘the law is teh LAW!’ basically spanking the OP for doubting what to do.

  165. iken says:

#168 I read part of that thread. There could be a hundred reasons why that lady is getting atenolol in the mail and none of them are the OP business.

  166. iken says:

This thread is pissing me off. I must have a Wal-Mart mentality because I think it is ridiculous to pay $300 for a diaper cover. Okay, then. (I’m from MN) Guess what percentage of the American population makes more than $250,000 per year???

2%<–so they better get busy buying some expensive diapers and woolies.

  167. Jacky says:

I’m almost certain there was a freaky poster at car-seat.org by the name of mommytobee07. She was having twins or something and posted about 10 car seats for each that she was going to get. Rightttt.

  168. melmelly says:

Damn! She got herself in some deep doody! I am curious to hear how all of it went down.

This member is no longer active on Flickr.

    Using her name to search:

Her Facebook and MySpace accounts have been closed/deleted.

  169. sourpatchbabe says:

The only way I could see paying $300 for one diaper cover is if it was covered in diamonds and pearls and it cleaned windows (by itself, not me cleaning the windows with it. Just had to clarify) and did the dishes. Now THAT’S a diaper worth its weight in gold.

  170. Kirsty says:

You would need bitty baby suspenders to hold that diaper up. And I would worry that the diamonds would scratch my windows.
I was so impressed with my wedding dress that I’ve has Monique Lhuillier design my daughter’s diapers.

  171. DSMBH says:

nvm. It says she found old profile in siggy.

    I have teh stupidz today.

  172. myra says:

I’ll stick with my Wal-Mart diaper cover. Cubic zirconia and faux pearls. Blame it on my mediocre mentality.

  173. smartassmama says:

Wonder who called the ‘rents. . .

And I wonder why g-maw and g-paw NEVER noticed all the crap in her room.
Looks like someone got a handle on her, or she didn’t like us talking about her one. If every.single.thing. is deleted though. Weird.

  174. smartassmama says:

And I completely get that your expendable money is your money to spend. But $300? Nah, no thanks. I can buy a shitload of Doritos on special at Walmart with $300.

And again, if you’re elite enough to afford $300 for a diaper cover, good on ya. But there are other things you could do with that money.

Save that $300, and add 2 bucks a month. By the time your child is 18, he/she’s got $2,172 for college expenses. And that’s not counting interest rates, because my Walmart doesn’t have savings accounts, so I don’t know nuffin bout interest rates.

  175. sourpatchbabe says:

Dang smartass, you have truly lived up to your name with all that fancy schmancy addition. What’s the absolute bare minimum that one has to have in diaper covers for a child to be in cloth FT? eight? Ten? $300 x number of covers and add in the cost of the ultra organic bamboo velour or whatever fancy PF/fitted she is using and a year’s worth of mortgage payments went down the drain buying poopcatchers.

  176. sourpatchbabe says:

    Forgot to add:

talk about wasting money buying useless crap.

  177. melmelly says:

There were a few other accounts I found that were also deleted. I didn’t post them because I was already posting the others, and I figured if people cared, they could search and find them.

I don’t know how many of you have tried this, but when you google her UN of Hollisterluva92, you only need to get “hollisterl” and the box drops down and her UN is the first choice. She has been obviously searched for quite a bit.

  178. Amygamie says:

Try swag searching her usernames, I get tons of swagbucks almost every time I do… so it has me swag searching for it ever day just for the points . :p

  179. volbaby07 says:

check out crazy reborn lady’s youtube profile page….the comments. wow.

  180. dundundun says:

So, out of sheer curiosity I started watching random reborn baby videos and this chick is all “I ordered this baby as a girl because I always wanted a little girl but that has changed over the past 4 years so now he’s a boy.”

I wonder what these girls are going to do if they ever have a real baby? I wonder if caring for a fake child for an extended amount of time interferes with your maternal instincts?

  181. melmelly says:

    WOW! Check out that nursery!

Apparently these reborn lovers “flip” the babies/dolls, like how someone would “flip” a house. Doesn’t work that way in the real world, girls!

  182. dundundun says:

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL at the song choice. I lulz’d all over the place.

I wonder who the other party in “our” is. I’m sure she doesn’t have a husband who is all gaga over the fake bbs.

  183. melmelly says:

The last time time Hollisterluva92 visited YouTube was 4 HOURS AGO!

  184. Mommy Grizzly says:

If she’s taken down all her crap off youtube, has anybody tried searching for some of the other names she’s known to use? Maybe she got caught by her parents but only took down the ones under Hollisterluva92. IDK, I’m not nearly psycho enough to fortell her next actions. I know this cause I took my anti-crazy pill today.

  185. dundundun says:

Life is so boring when you take teh pillz that scare da crazies away.

  186. Mommy Grizzly says:

My pills are fun. It’s spending invisible money, waiting a week, checking the little box outside my house and then pretending it’s Christmas with all the packages and pretty colored string!

  187. Mommy Grizzly says:

that is… string IN the packages, not ON the packages. I’m not a cat.

  188. dundundun says:

I see you jumping from tree to tree all nimbly bimbly.

    Have a good day meow.

  189. Mommy Grizzly says:

LOL yeah, I’m not nearly graceful enough for all that.

  190. Amygamie says:

186 the girl who has that youtube channel owns a reborn forum (reborn playpen) with her friends if you watch these doll videos they all talk about it and they all participate on it. Anyways if you want someone interesting to watch that is reborn related watch babykey80’s videos. She can’t carry children of her own so she lives through her dolls.
Here is a home birth of twin reborn dolls complete with a sound recorder of baby crys.:

I wonder what her adopted foster kids really think of it.

And this lady nurses her dolls too, she is bottlefeeding in the video but she says that she nurses them too.

I have been glued to these reborn videos ever since I first saw them. I feel so bad for these women cause it takes real issues for them to start behaving like this.

  191. dundundun says:

I was watching some of the random reborn videos last night and my fiance walked by and said, “I don’t know what’s more sad.. the fact that they do this, document it, and broadcast it for all to see.. or the fact that YOU watch it.”

  192. not me at all says:

I am way behind but what do you think 137 hoothootbaby = owliemama? maybe

  193. Amygamie says:

Yup that is her. In her esty store it says she is in Eudora, KS and that is just a few miles away from Fort Riley where Felisha/owliemama/fluffybutt lives.

So either she had another baby or she is lying about having two kids. It could be a quinkydink but I highly doubt it.

  194. DSDM2 says:

197, it *could be* but I doubt it, Her original UN on DS was JackJack or something like that, and she has been around since 08. Her store and all looks better then what Felishia’s stuff does. I think she is just unfortunate enough to use the same owl.

  195. DSDM2 says:

Eudora KS is 2 hours from Riely. And, Feli has a store on etsy and on FB, neither have those items in them. Either she has gotten a LOT smarter (unlikely) or it is another user (which is my guess).

  196. smartassmama says:

Benefit of the doubt here too. Even if they were both at Ft. Riley, it’s a military base. And military bases are full of SAHMs & WAHMs. The Military wife life seems to lend itself to the CD world and vice versa.

  197. Mommy Grizzly says:

Additionally, this unit would NEVER let him live that far from post. Seriously, they would restrict him to the barracks or not approve his housing. It’s totally within their power.

We had to get approval to live off post in a house we bought because DH was an E5 and the house was almost an hour away. This is to protect the soldier from extra financial strain of the cost of gas, and, to protect the unit because if they have an emergency call up, he has to be on post in a limited time period (set by the unit) that would not be conducive to a 2 hour commute.

  198. Amygamie says:

Sorry I didn’t pay too much attention to how much google map was zoomed in. I guess I looked too much into the whole owl obsession thing.

Is that a new rule about being at least E5 to live off base because my brother was E4 when he had a house off base when he was at Fort Sill. Oh nvm I see now you said you needed an approval. Lol, I fail today.

  199. Mommy Grizzly says:

203 – It was because the house was so far away from post, not just to live off post.

  200. Mommy Grizzly says:

this one is funny… $150 for a brand new bag, I’ll use it, thrash it, call it VGUC and ask to sell it for $100. Then, I’ll be super surprised when nobody wants it, drop prices over the next 7 weeks to the point that I’m almost BEGGING someone to take it from me but STILL have it over priced.

Gee, I wonder why nobody is buying it?

  201. Redhead says:

Mommy Grizz, you’re just jealous because, deep down inside..you really want that gaudy bag.. !

  202. Mommy Grizzly says:

LMAO! I have no problem dropping some dollars on a nice bag but I’d have never spent $150 on that purse. It’s not even that cool to begin with, IMO. If I was spending that kind of money, I’d double it and get a cool ass diaper bag.

  203. Mommy Grizzly says:

OOOH, and I was NOT shopping on HC today and just happened to notice the Shy Violet yarns I was fawning over but making fun of because the shipping was too high are STILL on. I was making fun a month ago, they were listed to stalk 3 weeks ago and BOTH colorways with all the skeins listed are still there. Hmm, seems to me if I were SV, I’d learn from this and say my shipping/product price combined is too high. But, well, I said that a month ago!

  204. melmelly says:

I have had my Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag for almost 6 years and it is still in really good shape. I did pay $150 for it, but I would probably only sell it for around $25-40. I would probably toss in the matching blanket for free…if I felt like selling it.

  205. Mommy Grizzly says:

Did you see hers though? It is NOT in really good shape. You can get PPB bags at Target for $80 and she was asking $100 to start with!

I’m not saying PPB bags are not worth it, I’m saying SHE is crazy to think HERS is!

  206. Mommy Grizzly says:

Or, was, rather, she’s asking $50 now and begging for trades. I’d not even pay $50 for it.

  207. melmelly says:

Yeah, I wouldn’t pay $50 for it either. Mine is a lot bigger, too.

Looks like Miss Holliesterluva92 has another bridal registry, but a new dude!

  208. melmelly says:

Another one with the same dude:

She really is sick and needs some help.

  209. Mommy Grizzly says:

I don’t get it. I mean, how does she have time to have so many babies, date so many guys, engage herself and plan so many weddings and still work and have time for family???

  210. melmelly says:

    Personality #1, #2, and #3?

  211. smartassmama says:

I’ve never seen a PPB in person. Is that brocade fabric? I’m afraid of the snags in that stuff, even if it is all pretty and shiny. πŸ™‚

And she is just warped. I really don’t know what to say about her, other than she needs some help.

  212. smartassmama says:

Dangit Deva. No photochopped pictures this time? I’m disappointed.

  213. melmelly says:

The only snags in the brocade is where the fabric is unfinished inside the outer pockets. I am sure it is possible to snag it elsewhere. The best way I can explain it is that it is more of a heavier brocade*.

*If that doesn’t make sense, it’s because I have a head cold…and a massive cough that is making my belly sore. I will have a six-pack by next week.

  214. DSDM2 says:

Have you ladies looked at her YouTube page? The comments are getting interesting. Apparently she is quite the scammer.

  215. Syrinx says:

This one had a huge thread devoted to how horrible her stepdaughter is. Now a few weeks later her stepson gets his own thread about how horrible he is. :/ The whole situation sounds so very, erm, classy.

  216. dundundun says:

My ex-stepsister was like that. (Mom is on husband #3 now) Anyway, homegirl wouldn’t eat ANYTHING but pizza, nuggets, ham, fries and junk food. Her mom catered to it which forced my stepdad to cater to it but my mom refused to cook her separate meals and it was just a tense situation every time we all had dinner together.

She was chubby as a pre-teen but now from what I see on FB she’s 20 and has the body of a model. I wonder what she eats these days.

  217. not me at all says:

DSDM2 do you remember the board that used to poke a bit of fun at some of the super crazy crunchy posts at MDC like the “I glued my nose back on with breastmilk”

  218. volbaby07 says:

#222, is it trolls with wooden spoons that you are thinking of?

  219. not me at all says:

YES that’s it! Thanks I was trying to give the name to someone and it was just GONE from my mind!

  220. tat2mommy says:

Is she talking about CDN? Geez I wish she would STOP with the God Bless after every.single.post!

  221. Redhead says:

I don’t think it is CDN. I am not sure though.

  222. Anna says:

225- Wouldn’t make sense.. the other woman was complaining about MM mentioning cloth diapers, mama cloth, etc and why be on a board devoted to that type of thing if you don’t like it?

  223. amessymama says:

Is there a board with the acronym WTE? I think she mentioned those letters in one of her posts.

  224. DSDM2 says:

    What to Expect.

  225. shelbell says:

She names the blog in post 31 and it’s been up since 12EST. How did the mods miss that?

    Her post:

I’m not offended. And I’m glad that you did “get to know me.” And no, I don’t like drama. I try to avoid it. LOL I have a 5 yr old, a 3 yr old, an 8 month old and a husband.. I have all the drama I need. LOL And you’re not the only person who was put off by the “God Bless.” There was a post on the “drama of diaperswappers” website where someone said that they wanted to punch me in the face because of my “God Bless.” THAT was a little disturbing. LOL (It wasn’t you, was it? That would be funny!) And yes, I do really mean it. I feel that everyoen deserves God’s blessings, and so even though it’s at the end of every post, I really do mean it. In fact..there was one post I didn’t put it, because I was really mad at the OP, and someoen else asked me if I was ill. LOL

  226. hrm's mom says:

good grief did she say LOL enough times, Uggh I hate that!

  227. melmelly says:

LOL Did you see the new diapers so and so put on her HC the other day? πŸ™‚ LOL They are cute! LOL I think I need to get one ASAP! LOL πŸ™‚

    God Bless!

  228. Mommy Grizzly says:

Melly, I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Don’t do that. Have sympathy for my pregnant and irritated gag reflex.

  229. dundundun says:

    Gotta love the gag.

Speaking of, I went to messican with a friend tonight who doesn’t know I’m pregnant yet. All this baby has wanted for the past week is messican food but it did a complete 180 tonight and decided that messican food was TEH DEVILZ. Sitting in a messican restaurant swallowing the saliva build up while your buddy fills you in on the current events in her life whilst you try to keep your dinner down for an entire 45 minutes is no fun.

  230. Redhead says:

Poor Dundun. I pretty much puked everything up my entire 3 pregnancies. Only during the last couple of months did I actually gain weight!

  231. Cid says:

BUSTED! Why would she lie? Because she is lying in the damn first place! ack!

That would be me! I bought a few pair of longies from a mama on here that smelled strongly of patruli scent and I can’t deal with it. I know many love it… I don’t. So, now I ask everyone that I may buy used wool items from.

But I am fairly certain the only message you sent me was one saying you sold them.

  232. Flat Stainley says:

I don’t care what any of y’all say. Anybody who drives a sweet mama like Michelle to eat the Ben & Jerry’s when she’s trying to diet is just a big cyber bully. It’s sinfully rediculous! πŸ˜‰

Yeah, nothing like taking personal responsibilities for our weaknesses!

    God Bless!

I think I said I wanted to punch her in the face, and I still do. Not in a malicious way, just in a make her unable to see the keyboard for a post kinda way so I can avoid being blessed by her god. πŸ™‚

  235. Aj says:

    #236, I don’t get it.

  236. MOMWITHMANY says:

#236 – The op is me and I am not sure what I am busted on. I had someone ask me that and they responded with what I said they did. The mama on the post was someone completely different asking about something that was already sold. Too bad my pm box was full and I had to delete messages that I didn’t need to make room or I could have shown you the pm of the one I was talking about. I can’t even remember her name ,I have had so many pm’s. AGAIN WHY WOULD I LIE ABOUT NOT KNOWING THE SCENT OR THAT IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED???????

  237. DSDM2 says:

#236 needs to stick to one UN here, as well as one email. Just Sayin.

  238. MOMWITHMANY says:

dundundun- have you tried ginger candies, they are hard and you just suck on them my friend would have one before she ate anything and she could keep things down. Our HEB sells them but I would think you could find them by you. She had the worst morning sickness and they made it bearable.

Also has anyone had any luck getting their ds name changed I have asked for years to switch it to this and every time juan says no,yet I see other people who change it.

  239. smartassmama says:

I’ve seen a lot of people with changed names. They put the old ones under, and a lot of them are semi-anon, like with stars in them. And the others just say it. I think that DS has a more strict rule on it than most forums. Has to be something like a change in the name (LIke Bill&Mary get divorced so you become JustMary), or a business, or you acquire a stalker. There are hoops. Unlike other places, I used to be active somewhere where it was totally normal that I changed mine twice.

  240. smartassmama says:

242 And now I just have to wonder who Cid really is. . .

  241. Redhead says:

MOMWITHMANY! I know who you are now! We were friends on DS until they banned me after the Demonz threads. πŸ˜‰

Anyway, Cid- WTH is “petruli”? Does she mean “Patchouli”? Maybe if she lernd 2 spel then mebbe de OP wuld no wut she iz talkin bout…. huh..mebbe?

  242. MOMWITHMANY says:

#244- I tried 4 times in the last three years and every time I thought I would qualify for a name change it was always no. Oh well this is the UN I go by everywhere so I was just wanting to use it there as well.

#245- I don’t know but if I could remember the name of the mama who pm’ed me, I bet we would know. What a weird thing to accuse me of lying about.Seriously the FSOT boards have been crazy lately. I just stopped bumping my posts,it’s not worth all of the look through my IHA for a trade after I said countless times I don’t want to trade.

  243. MOMWITHMANY says:

#246- Yup redhead I missed you and your comments so I came over here but I mainly lurk. You ladies are great I always heard how “bad” the blog was ,until I came over and saw that it wasn’t true and I have stayed because I like it. I loved your avi of all your girls in their dresses and braids, so pretty.

  244. MOMWITHMANY says:

redhead – can you link your store I was going to get some more dryer balls, but I thought it was linked here and I can’t find it. My ds is in love with them ,maybe after he’s done I can actually use them in the dryer.lol

  245. Redhead says:

    yeah, it is: http://www.rhinelandfarmstore.etsy.com
Have you joined ClothDiaperNation? I am over there too, it is slower than DS but lacks all the loonies (mostly!) — kinda nice!
    I am SisterEncarnacion there πŸ˜‰

  246. MOMWITHMANY says:

No I haven’t been over there yet,but I will check it out. I only really go to DS to talk anymore and rarely to sell, we use pf’s and I make all our wool from sweaters (Oh how I wish I could knit), so I am never really on the fsot anymore. Oh wait except to make up fake pm’s,sorry forgot about that.*eyeroll*

  247. Mommy Grizzly says:

Will someone make me peanut brittle? pweeeze?

  248. MOMWITHMANY says:

#252- Sorry mama I make peanut brittle as well as I knit. The last time I made it ,it was soggy.
redhead- thanks for the link, we are switching to natural soaps and shampoos can’t wait to try everything.

  249. Syrinx says:

    252. Ben and Jerry’s has a peanut brittle ice cream. It sounds kind of odd, but I was brave, tried it, and love it.

  250. Mommy Grizzly says:

Amy – I just won from the same place you did. She is awesome.

  251. Redhead says:

Amy & MomGrizz, she is AWESOME! SL and I are doing a swap in the next couple of weeks and will both have a giveaway of each others items πŸ™‚

  252. Mommy Grizzly says:

Amy won one of the Lost Baby car fresheners. I was so glad I was able to tell her about it and even more excited when she won.

She seems super sweet. I NEVER enter any give aways because I’ve got so much I feel like other people should get the chance, but this one NEEDED me to enter. How’s that for odds, first one I’ve ever entered and I win.

  253. Mommy Grizzly says:

All must not be well in crooked handcut wipey-ville.

  254. Amygamie says:

I was gonna tell you I just got the air freshener. I love it, I put it in the car yesterday. When I went outside to greet DH after work the whole car smelled like it had five fresh loaves of banana nut bread in there β™₯. I am planning on ordering a couple of different scents of wax melts from Scarborough lane Monday or Tuesday.

Redhead I didn’t know you had an etsy store. I’m gonna have to try your laundry soap and dryer balls. My blue plastic dryer balls are starting to leaving skid marks in my dryer and they are fairly new, they don’t seem to work too well either.

Does anyone know how to get candle wax dye out of table cloths? We made the mistake of trying out red pillar candles in stead of the usual cream ones to use at the dinner table and the wax dripped on the white table cloth. I can’t get the stain out :(. Now it drives me crazy because it always looks dirty and I just got that one.

  255. Redhead says:

    LOL MommyGrizz πŸ˜‰

Not sure what all happened but I guess she missed the memo where your posts aren’t deleted when you don’t get the answer you like….. ?

  257. Mommy Grizzly says:

Amy, I’m sooo glad that you got it and LOVE it! Everybody needs a little something to remember me by! πŸ˜‰

As for the wax stain, is it the actual wax or just the color? If it’s the color, you can try to fade it with oxy or bleach or just dye the whole thing red to make it less obvious. IDK, some less expensive candles use some near toxic dyes, I’ve even had them stain candle holders and color my skin from handling them.

  258. MOMWITHMANY says:

258- I was wondering how long it would take for her to delete it. Don’t ask for opinions if you don’t want opinions. Save everyone the trouble and let them know they need to agree with you.

  259. Redhead says:

262 You have some spunk and I likes it! πŸ˜‰ I knew you were awesome!
Are you a redheaded woman, like many of us on here? πŸ™‚

  260. Mommy Grizzly says:

262 – We’d better all agree with her or her besties neo-nazi baby daddy will show us what’s up!

Though, really, I’d send him a one way ticket just to be entertained by the show that would ensue if he showed up at my house. *giggle*

  261. smartassmama says:

258 – I was going to post about that last night. I didn’t make the connection of who she was though. Nice to know now. I never saw her OP, but I did see plenty of crazy in the responses. “please delete” rarely makes things disappear. Editing out your post and just leaving it the heck alone is the closest you can get.
I take it she was considering divorce over something small? Go ahead. Then you can move on out to Cali with your skinhead friend’s pimp husband and work the proverbial pole on the interwebz.

I know not to link to opt-ins, but there’s one in SS now that has a one word title, and the OP was edited by m0mto3 (I think). Never says why, she doesn’t seem to post in the thread, but the OP was edited. That peeks my curiosity. πŸ™‚

  262. Redhead says:

    Amy, try this:
Set your iron on low, get 4-5 paper towels and lay them flat on top of the stain, then place the iron on top of the papertowels to re-melt the wax, it should be absorbed by the paper towels. Keep repeating until it is nearly gone, it will still leave a grease-looking spot, but it might take all the color out of the stain. Then you can scrub it with Dawn or something.

  263. DSDM2 says:

WD40 takes out grease too. I have used it before.

  264. amessymama says:

265-I think she just edited out the word “bitch”.

  265. Amygamie says:

Damn I guess I am screwed. It is a 100% microfiber polyester table cloth I don’t think it will dye well since it repells water and I tried bleaching it twice. Yes they were cheapy candles. We eat by candle light every single night and we go through candle sticks a lot so I try to make it as cheap as possible.

I hate it when no one quotes the OP in a thread they later attempt to delete. What happened? All I got was a sharpie marker on the girls face and her rectum falling out of her butt. I cannot for the life of me find a connection between the two. Seem to me she is looking for excuses to get out of her relationship, normally that would be a vent instead of, “should I leave? please tell me yes because I want to.” Or at least that is the vibe I got from what little I could read… I could be wrong.

I heard that Deva had to give all of her baby stuff away (I hope to that charity), mail back her second doll, and Bella is taped up in a box in her grandparents basement. Holy cow. I wonder how Deva is holding up, her whole fantasy life came crashing down.

  266. smartassmama says:

Where do you hear this stuff! I guess I’m going to the wrong places. lol

Oh, and I luuuuuv that y’all eat by candle light! So sweet, so, romantical!

  267. Mommy Grizzly says:

Since I’m just incredibly forthright, which is perceived as mean…

Here is another WAHM that should stick with making stuff for her own kids and not to sell. Where are the crotches on the longies? Really? Just 2 panels straight down? how uncomfortable. And her stitching, while not as bad as some… I just have to say, take it as a really good indication of your skill when you are STILL bumping for TESTERS 3 months after you posted.

  268. Mommy Grizzly says:

That is super sweet, Amy. We used to have a family dinner at the table rule. Now, I’m lucky if we all eat together!

I can’t wait for this stupid unaccompanied tour comes to an end.

  269. dundundun says:

243, Where would one find ginger candies? I don’t recall ever seeing them before.

I can’t get rid of the nausea as of today. It seriously won’t stop. DF has this whole great evening planned for us tonight (we’re kid-free for the evening!) and I really need to get this under control if possible.

  270. Mommy Grizzly says:

I couldn’t find the ginger ones so I ate gingersnaps and sucked on the big, individually wrapped mints when it wasn’t too bad.

  271. smartassmama says:

Those look similar to the Katrinas pattern for fleece longies. I’ve made a few pair from it, and the kids love them, especially the girl. I made some last Christmas, completely honest here, out of cheap fleece baby blankets from the Retail Hell (I haz the Walmart mentality too!) and they wore them out to visit family on Christmas Eve and they looked so darn comfortable, I wished I had a blanket big enough to make myself some.

  272. dundundun says:

Hmmmm.. maybe I’ll hit up the asian market later. I bet they have something.

That’ll give me an excuse to stock up on those flower candy thingies. omnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnom.

  273. amessymama says:

I’m pretty sure Altoids makes a ginger “mint”.

  274. MOMWITHMANY says:

dundundun- If you can’t find the at the supermarket I would look at an oriental supermarket or maybe a health food store. I have also heard raspberry and ginger tea help too.

  275. dawbs says:

273–I got a few kinds at world market. they helped a little

‘course, I threw up ginger candies a few times and an no longer eat ginger.

  276. Amygamie says:

I have had a few people IRL make really rude comments about the candles at the dinner table. Because of them I have been accused of being a submissive housewife, that does not make any sense to me but they have been known to bash my husband and I a lot so I really don’t care to begin with. We have to use them because we have 20 foot ceilings and no proper overhead lighting, it is just about the only way to light up the dinner table but we like them anyways so I could see us using them anyways. I have to keep an eye on them because our cat has been known to light her tail on fire a lot and it makes the house smell terrible.

I made a lurking account on http://www.rebornplaypen.proboards.com a while ago when I heard Deva talking about it and I had to see if it was an entire boards of crazies or not. I got on and checked it some time and there were entire threads about her. The whole board is weird, really really weird. It turns out Deva was scamming a bunch of the members there but they were too nice to leave negative feedback. But once they found out that she was doing it to other people they started going after her.

I just know she is going to pop up again sometime.

Would ginger tea work also? That will prob. be easier to find.

#263- Sadly I am not a red head just a really, really white skinned brunette, but I want to be. Growing up I had several gorgeous red head friends and I was so envious. Can I be a honorary red head?

#264- I didn’t know about the neo-natzi’s when I responded to her post ,but it’s all good we have protection here in bubbaland. So far not a single intelligent thought has ever been allowed in our schools here so I don’t think the natzi’s stand a chance.

#280 -I am so jealous, I made one too and I am still waiting for approval it has been almost a week. I am absolutely fascinated by this . Dh says he hopes they never approve me.lol

#258 That post was complaining that her baby had some issue and she was thinking about taking her to the ER. Decided not to take her. Her DH decided to keep his plans of doing whatever with the step son. I guess he was supposed to just stay home in case something happened with the baby. Since he didn’t do that, she was pissed at him. She was asking if people thought this was a divorcable offense.

In my opinion having a clueless or insensitive husband ranks right up there with having a cheater husband. Wait…if we all got divorced because our husbands were clueless at times, the divorce rate would by 99.999%.

MOMWITHMANY, I have a question about your order.. check your Etsy convos πŸ™‚

  282. Redhead says:

Dundun, eat a small amount of protein every hour. Set your timer, be sure to eat at the same time each hour.
A slice of cheese, spoonful of yogurt, 1/2 a boiled egg–etc. Don’t eat anymore, because your tummy will reject it. Do this every day, it SHOULD make your body start accepting food better and you will be able to eat more (larger amounts) as you continue.

I was in and out of the hospital SO much for IVs/fluids because I was so sick during my pregnancies. My midwife finally showed me the 1 hour rule with my last pregnancy, and it really helped.

  283. MOMWITHMANY says:

redhead I convo’ed you back. Thanks for checking with me.
