I agree, it’s the same as a person “selling” diapers here on Diaper Swappers, receiving the money from the buyer then not mailing them the diapers. Worse than that, LYING to the person about the diapers being lost in the mail with no possible way to track them.

Their “karma” will come back to bite them right?

Who has more info? Chey apparently can offer advice but can’t follow her own?

  1. smartassmama says:

I Saw that. I don’t know MrsLovewell, but I’m assuming she got shafted by Chey, never left any feedback, & then waited months, searched her posts, & resurrected a thread from April to make a comment on Chey’s (not the OP’s) ethics.

Chey’s post was made before her feedback went south. I’m curious wth happened with her; why she screwed mamas over out of money & goods. She never came back, but was never banned. It just doesn’t make sense to be a standing member and be decent, then eff up like she did.

  2. MotherMoonPads says:

What happened to Chey? I always thought well of her.

  3. hawt_tamale says:

80% feedback? Whats the deal there. I dont want to log in…

  4. iken says: This one is heating up fast! The OP only wants RockinGreen raves–no posting anything negative or you will be chastised.

  5. cdc says:

Yeah, I dont people with hurt kids feel like raving. And, as a wahm myself…..I feel for RnG Kim…but she is in a world of shit right now and will be lucky if nobody sues her. Would anyone be looking for raves for Procter and Gamble for their products just because not everyone is hurt by them? The bottom line here is that a faulty and possibly dangerous product was sold for childrens clothing…..and has hurt kids. Yikes. Sometimes we tiptoe around the WAHM world a bit too much.

On the other hand, I have looked at the _listed_ ingredients in RnG….and I dont see ANYTHING that would cause any damage to kids in the laundry. Her recipe is totally the same as everyone elses detergent….washing soda, oxyclean, water softener, soap, acid , and fragrance……unless they mixed it with WAYYY too much of the acid. That might be the problem. I wonder. She mentions in that thread that the mixer wanted a drier mix, and the Glauber’s salt is a desiccant….hmmm.

  6. cdc says:

sorry, cant remember my usual login name…:D

  7. mommygrizzly says:

I’m hoping RnG is incorporated and has really good insurance. She could seriously loose her shit with this recall. There are enough people and spread out over enough space that it could easily turn class action.

  8. smartassmama says:

Anyone have cliff’s notes on it? I was really holding off to buy some hard rock. My husband actually just requested that I buy some. Seriously.

I heard/read that it may have been mixed to weak, leaving the possibility that the dipes don’t get clean. Then that 4 kids got a rash that may be due to RnG. Am I totally wrong.

  9. mommygrizzly says:

Yeah, that’s pretty much it. Appairently, Kim contracts out with a company that Fed up on the mixing process and produced a mix of Hard Rock that was not to spec but nobody knew this until Kim started getting complaints about it. After she got more than a couple of complaints and moms were telling her that their kids were getting chemical burns that were being treated with RX and still not going away after more than a month, she finally recalled the bags produced over a 2 month period.

Lots of other people have been suggesting that not just HR was affected, a lot of classic users raised issues too and when they messaged Kim, I guess she replaced out of good will but did not include it in the recall. Then moms were saying maybe the dates were more than she suggested. There are TONS of threads on DS that people are posting pics of their kiddos tushies and the burns are BAD, there are no way to avoid admitting that.

Anyway, one of the threads was a bunch of moms comparing stories and then the super mom that started the “Only good thinks about RnG” thread came in and like — out of nowhere — starts going off and suggesting that all these moms are scamming to get free detergent.

She said that no matter what happened she stands by Kim and RnG and will never submit for the Recall exchange and nobody else should either or they are scammers. Then, several moms were like, Hey, wait a sec, this crap really hurt my kid! So, nameless super mom comes back with, “Oh, I’m so sorry, YOU deserve a free back but ALL THE REST OF YOU should be ASHAMED of yourself, you are scammers!

And that’s highlights by the Griz.

  10. mommygrizzly says:

ACK! Towards the end there, free BAG not back.

  11. smartassmama says:

Thank you ♥ That’s what I figured it was. I don’t know anything about the company, but I feel bad for the owner that she’s probably eating a lot of money now, unless she can get it back from the manufacturer.

I got a bag in my one and only trip to a real live cloth diaper store, this past May. We really liked it. 😦

  12. smartassmama says:

Ok, I found the thread and read what the owner posted. I’d be infuriated with the mixing company, and would do what I could to go after them legally. They’ve not only cost her money, harmed people, but they’ve harmed her business name. 😦

  13. mommygrizzly says:

Yeah, it really sucks. Unfortunately, she bears the brunt of the liability and it would be up to her to recoup from the mixing company but all they would have to do is close up shop, file bankruptcy and show her the finger. I cant believe she doesn’t do random testing on her products to maintain the integrity and check the mixing. A 2 month period is a HUGE amount of time in terms of production.

  14. kateri25 says:

I love RnG, however I am with the other mom’s who think it was more than just the Hard Rock. My DS has bad excezma and he now has a scar on his bottom from his diapers washed in classic unscented RnG. He had some bad rashes in the past but this last one was the worst, I won’t be writing Kim as I think she has more than enough on her plate and well that bag is gone (no need to replace if you ask me). I am using the new 2.0 Hard Rock now and I will probably be a loyal customer. I hope now that she has a good QC in place this will never be an issue again.

  15. cdc says:

Ok, the thing I dont get about this is that if it was just as simple as the diapers not getting clean….that the Rng was not really cleaning the diapers….and so the only problem was that the diapers were “dirty” after being washed, then why all the damage to the babies? Seems like like the blisters and burns are worse than just dirty diaper burns. Lots of diapers have ammonia, but some of these sores pictured now seem pretty horrible.

  16. kateri25 says:

I think it was a matter of residue being left on the diaper coming in contact with the babies skin. Most users even triple rinse their diapers and there was STILL residue left on the diapers resulting in the chemical burns. Pretty bad when the reason you switched was to avoid the burn from other detergents due to sensitive skin issues.

  17. bittymomma says:

Oh my god I got Hard Rock for hte first time in early May and by the end of June my son had a rash so bad he was actually bleeding on his diapers. I tried switching to sposies and that actually cleared it up, which had me shocked. then back into cloth and it came back, though not bleeding. Then I ran out of hard rock and started using Cruncy Clean and he hasn’t had a rash since. Holy shiat. I never thought it was the soap. Argh.

  18. j says:

Can anyone point me in the direction of the photos of rashes babies have been getting?
my son has had a rash for quite some time while using it but I just figured it was a yeast issue. Now I’m thinking it may be the RnG and I’ve stripped our dipes and stopped using it, as of yesterday.

  19. hawt_tamale says:

There are a few pictures in the RnG thread post #4 linked above.

  20. hawt_tamale says:

Completely OT here, any other places besides DS to find pre loved dipes?

  21. Redhead says:

20-CDN has some listings, Spots Corner on HC.. um.. Craigslist or Ebay, too.

  22. amessymama says:

20-You should definitely check out Clothdiapernation!! It’s still pretty slow, but there is stuff. What are you looking for? I have a couple of things listed. 😀 also has a fsot on their forums. Mothering does too, but that’s really slow.

  23. Amygamie says:

20- I was able to get a huge bag of cloth diapers for free on my local freecycle group, it is always worth a shot. 🙂 The ones I got only needed new elastic and the velcro cleaned. I removed all of the velcro and I am currently installing snaps on them since I now have the time and the snap pliers to do so. 🙂 I found my freecycle group at I love it! just the other day I was able to freecycle my old working vacuum and my small stick vacuum so some people who really needed them. If you want something out of your house within hours freecycle is the way to go.

If you live in a cloth diapering savvy community maybe you can post a flyer up on bulletin boards of day cares and churches for preused dipes? I have responded to ISO flyers on bulletin boards before. That is how I sold some of my jewelry that was given to me as a teen by my ex boyfriends a long time ago. 🙂

  24. Too True says:

Ok, how did I miss everything going on with RnG??? I was on her site a couple months ago contemplating buying a bag…glad now that I didn’t! I ended up making my own and it worked wonderful, cheaper too!

  25. hawt_tamale says:

@ 22 – thanks for the info. I just got a CDN account. Its so different then DS! I am looking for pockets but open to idea. My oldest is a super soaker. Need more dipes in the stash.

@23 I tried freecycle for non diaper items when I lived in Utah. I love the intent of the group but some of the wierdos ruin it. I will look into it down here, hopefully people are nicer.

Still glad I didnt try RnG this year. Those poor babies.

  26. mmmarmalade says:

I’ve been lurking around here for the past few days, being HIGHLY amused! And I followed the link to the RnG rave post, and tried to get to the next page, and I *THINK* the thread got poofed between reading the first page and getting to the second… it gave me that message that says “you’re not allowed to read this.”

Can’t say I’m surprised, but I think it’s funny that it happened while I just happened to be reading it!

  27. juliaandkenziesmama says:

#18 you can email me at and I will email you a pic of my baby’s bum.

#26 yes BOTH of the RnG threads have been deleted.

  28. smartassmama says:

Wonder who directed us here and called us all big meanies

And I don’t think you’re a tool bag. I think it’s like armchair football coaches – the guys who scream at the TV and tell the guys on the field that they’re doing it all wrong when you’ve not been there yet.

  29. MotherMoonPads says:

DS doesn’t load at all for me. Is it working for anyone?

  30. j says:

MotherMoon, it is taking me to a wordpress blog. Weird.

  31. Aj says:

Diaperswappers has disappeared–what will we do??? 🙂

  32. kateri25 says:

wow I can’t get it either bizarre. oh well it shall not be missed here I have not logged on in FOREVER (well since it took my last hard drive)

  33. MotherMoonPads says:

31, it takes me to the (empty) word press log when I try the main page. If I try going directly to the forum, it gives me a 404 error

32, I think I might get work done today! *blush*

  34. Redhead says:

29- what was the link about? I can’t see anything..

  35. cdc says:

    Hahaha DS has been hacked!

  36. Redhead says:

I am seriously cracking up! 😀

  37. Redhead says:

    from their FB page:

“DiaperSwappers – Cloth Diapering Community The site is obviously down, our apologies. Our domain account has been hacked and we are working very hard to bring this site back online as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.”

  38. iken says:

  39. Redhead says:

The facebook page is getting funny, someone found Poop On Cloth and is flipping out about it!

  40. try me, i'm new! says:

oooookkkkaaaaayyyyyy, I just spent an hour making a fsot thread on cdn, then went to c&p it to DS and apparently the whole damn site went poof this time. AWESOME!!! apparently, the internal debate I had this morning on where to list the stash has been decided for me. CDN and spots it is!

  41. try me, i'm new! says:

ok, just checked the facebook page – am I missing something? My are people posting their FSOT there? Really, they can’t wait the couple of hours it will take to get the site back up and list then?

  42. MrsLovewell says:

Ok, this has got to be a joke!

I can’t believe you people would take the time to look through posts on a cloth diaper website to find “drama.”

Yes, I was upset that day because I was stiffed by someone. This “Chey” lady stole $80 from a pastor’s wife…who does that?! The site is down right now, but I suspect #27 is a link to my post about outing this lady. Doesn’t she deserve that? Yes, maybe we’re stupid for trusting complete strangers to send us stuff we don’t even know they actually have, but that’s what people get on diaperswappers every day to do. After you’ve bought 10 or 15 things without any problem you just start trusting everyone…until you get your money stolen from you.

By the way, I like how this post about my “drama” turned into a Rockin Green discussion.

For more entertainment from my life just go through my recent posts and pick something else out that you think is drama to post on your website. You must be an site supporter on DS because I don’t think there’s ANY way you could have found my post on that thread without having some heads up from someone connected to the site. Perhaps you’re the lady that private messaged me about editing my wording on the post? Just a guess ^_^

I know this is long, but in ending please take my personal info off of this post. I don’t appreciate you putting my picture, name and other info up on your website.

  43. DSDM2 says:

40, I saw that. A few defenders are on there too. I was hoping it would get interesting.

  44. Redhead says:

I think DS is too busy with the hack to notice what they are talking about.

  45. amessymama says:

That FB page is funny! Someone commented about pop-ups and possible viruses from DS on their PC and this is one of the responses:

(*****Name hidden so that the person that wrote this comment originally on FB doesn’t find her name and go through the whole “I’m gonna sue you for using my name and my actual words” crap****)- “I was on DS for quite a while yesterday from 2 different computers and I haven’t had any pop-ups. You very well may have a virus, but I don’t think it’s from DS :)”

Didn’t you know that if it didn’t happen to her, then it’s *impossible* to happen to anyone else?!?! She somehow managed to make the little smily face look like the “goodvibes guy”.

Why do people think someone’s experience cannot be true if they themselves didn’t also experience it?

Lady, just because all of your viruses come from your DH’s porn addiction, doesn’t mean it’s that way for everybody. :goodvibes:

  46. DSDM2 says:

Laura, you are missing it, we aren’t talking about you, we are talking about Chey and her stealing, and outting her so people can see. We have no drama with you.

I will happily take down the avi photo for you, but just FYI, we don’t log in to catch posts, so your posts, photos, personal info etc are public and easy to find.

  47. Redhead says:

What DSDM2 said. This site outs scammers, Chey obviously scammed you.

And if you scroll back, many discussions change throughout the comments, it has nothing to do with you..

  48. dundundun says:

43, that post was in support of you – not against you. I’m sure someone else has pointed this out by now but I’ve not refreshed in a bit so I’m probably repeating what’s already been said.

I wonder if I should mention that everything you say on DS is public so having it here isn’t really different?

  49. amessymama says:

Mrs Lovewell, are you that dense to think we all scour DS just to find drama? There’s so much drama there it finds its way here.

If you’re just reading along on a thread and come across a drama inducing, idiotic, post, it’s really quite simple to link or quote it. Doesn’t take much time at all really.

Kind of like when I’m reading a FB page and come across an ignorant comment by *SOMEONE* and quote it here. It’s easy, really.

And before you ask, my kids are OK. I know exactly where they are.

  50. shabbychic says:

Can someone buy my stuff on Spots? Please and thanks.

  51. Redhead says:

*drool*… Shabby, don’t you know my PP needs to pay bills?!!! Why must you tempt me?! 😉

  52. EmpressPurl says:

Yeah, my PC picked up a Trojan last week as I tried to add some photos to a post in the knit wip thread. I know it as from DS because I got the pop up AS my browser was on the site. I’m the only one besides the hubby with the password to my user account so I know it wasn’t from anywhere else. I sure didn’t pick it up from Flickr. *snort* I’m one of the FB commentors and looks like quite a few others have had the same issue.

Guess it’s my bad for taking the risk.

  53. Aj says:

Meg, that sweater is TDF, wish I had the funds!

  54. DSDM2 says:

I’m wanting a bit of that yarn, nice stuff Shabby.

  55. MrsLovewell says:

To #46, yes that was my post on that lady’s comment about having pop-ups. You didn’t have to be stupid about your “disclaimer.” I didn’t say I was upset about having my WORDS posted. If I said it and it was stupid then call me out on it, I don’t care. But don’t post my picture and put personal info up about me, that’s just tactless.

I’m not sure where your mind is besides the gutter, but I wasn’t saying that this lady’s pop-ups were coming from visiting porn sites…I was just saying that I don’t think it was from diaperswappers. Maybe she clicked on an attachment in diaperswappers and that’s where the virus came from…I don’t know. It was just speculation. Was it necessary for me to say/post? NO. I was bored and looking over the wall so I commented. Apparently you were also reading over every post on the wall or you wouldn’t even have noticed that I wrote that.

To the site admins that commented above: I apologize, I really haven’t look over your website. Thank you for posting about this scammer. I understand that the post has nothing to do with me, I just happened to be the person to call this lady out. I wish that she was banned but for some reason the diaperswapper admins don’t think she deserves it, although they claim they will “keep an eye out for her if she comes back”…

  56. DSDM2 says:

Thank you for bringing her to our attention. You are saving many other moms from being scammed.

DS does hide scammers and scams, and it is sad.

As for the virus issue. We have been posting about it here for over a year. It has been an admitted and known problem on the site since the ads went up a few years ago. Admin “fixes” it, but then claims there was no problem, and even site supporters get the viruses.

  57. dundundun says:

So it’s okay for you to be bored and comment… but not for us?

  58. MrsLovewell says:

amessymama, you don’t have to be a bitch. I’m trying to explain myself here, not create drama.

  59. DocsNemesis says:

Haha, DS got hacked >.<. See what I miss when I sleep? The bad thing is, I had a PM I had started and it was rather long and now, its disappeared. 😦

Ftr, I also have never had a problem with DS. No idea why…I don't even have an anti virus thingie. But I occasionally do a virus and malware scan and never find either. Could it be the version of windows I'm running?

And for some reason Shabby's link didn't work for me. I wanted to drool too!

  60. MrsLovewell says:

dundundun, comment at your own free will. I didn’t say anyone else couldn’t do it, I was simply pointing out the fact that amessymama was doing the same thing that I was yet she was calling me ignorant for doing it.

And I didn’t know that there has been a known bug on diaperswappers for over a year. If I had known, then I would not have said anything to that lady on facebook. Thank you for telling me, DSDM2, instead of just making fun of me like amessymama.

  61. DSDM2 says:

Some of our ladies can be sensitive. 🙂 I’m sure there are no grudges now that you see what is going on.

  62. amessymama says:

I wasn’t being stupid about my disclaimer. I was attempting wit. People are always claiming that they are going to sue when their name is brought up here. That’s why I said it.

At the time, I had no idea that it was even that who made the comment. I thought it was pretty strange when I posted it and saw that you had posted while I was typing it. Weirdness.

Anyway the reason I brought it up, is because I just can’t understand why someone has to argue with someone about where they get their viruses. If they say it came from DS, then it probably did. They know more about their own PC and websites visited than I do. So why not take them for their word?

  63. amessymama says:

I had no idea that it was even **YOU** that who made the comment.

  64. Just another mom says:

Weirdly enough…I can still get into DS and haven’t had a problem all day.

Hey, maybe I’m the hacker and don’t even know it!

I’m on FF with ABP btw.

  65. amessymama says:

Dang, that just made it worse. I’ll just stop trying to edit and let you all figure out which words to add/remove from my post. 😀

  66. Redhead says:

MrsLovewell, we’re not trying to be mean to you. This site is just a bit more brazen than DS is. Amessymama is really cool, as are many of the posters here. Don’t get run off by a couple of first comments, I hope you stay!

Also- I’m sorry they are still allowing Chey to stay on DS (not surprising!), and I’m sorry she scammed you.

  67. Just another mom says:

Mrs. Lovewell, if the virus came from a pop up, ad or link that is on Diaper Swappers, then it still came from Diaper Swappers. Viruses do come from lots of places on the web, however, DS members have been inundates since the board was sold and new advertisements put in place. It’s a well known fact. I’m sorry you missed the memo.

  68. shabbychic says:

Stop fighting and buy my shit instead. Please refocus your energies 🙂

  69. shabbychic says:

Oh and here is the link for ease of use:

  70. MrsLovewell says:

Just another mom, I’ve only been on since May so I’m still learning…I suppose I did miss that memo.

shabbychic, you are FUNNY! We’ll stop fighting now 😛

  71. shabbychic says:

You can fight all you want as long as you by my yarn while doing so. Carry on.

  72. Just another mom says:

Mrs. Lovewell, okay cool! it’s best to check here for all memo’s! They have the most up to date info around….

  73. Just another mom says:

shabby, I’d buy some yarn, but I think my husband would kill me dead if I brought any more into this house!

  74. Redhead says:

Yeah, and here you won’t see the communist cover-ups that DS likes to pull.

  75. MrsLovewell says:

Well, I guess it’s coming back to bite diaperswappers now that someone hacked the site…maybe they’ll be more interested in hearing security measures they need to put in place.

I wouldn’t have found this site if diaperswappers hadn’t been hacked though…it has been an entertaining morning 😛

  76. shabbychic says:

Shush up, no more talking until you all buy the yarn.

  77. Amber says:

Oo, I want that stained glass…. but no pp. 😦

  78. DocsNemesis says:

Omg, that jacket is gorgeous! Too bad I can’t spend that much on…anything…ever…lol. Your yarn is tdf too. Drooooool….

  79. Just Peachy says:

That sweater is gorgeous but alas my pp and bank account are empty.

  80. DocsNemesis says:

I wonder how hard merino top is to spin…I want to try spinning, was told to start with bfl cause its got more fiber length, but…theres so much yummy merino top on Spots…I think its starting to get the best of me.

  81. smartassmama says:

I can’t buy. My kids would make a mess of it before I used it. I’m learning how to knit with Walmart quality acrylic. o.O

  82. Flat Stainley says:

Okay, so it’s not me. I was on this morning on my iphone and when I went to post a reply I got the 404 error code. DAYM!
Maybe it’s divine intervention? I have been crazy spendy in the last 2 weeks. Shabby, your wool is definitely droolworthy! I must stop this retail therapy though.

  83. Flat Stainley says:

haha, that was supposed to read DAYUM. lol.

  84. mommygrizzly says:

Shabby your yarn really is TDF but my cubs would destroy it and I’ve vowed not to buy anything for my littlest bear cub until I know if it should be wearing BLUE or PINK. Talk to me again in 10 weeks!

  85. amessymama says:

Sorry, Mrs. Lovewell. I really didn’t know that the comment on FB was made by you. I just thought it was another random “DS can do no wrong” person. I probably would have still said the same thing though. I tend to be a little snarkcastic.

I’m not really mean, I just try to be funny. It sometimes works even! 😀

  86. Flat Stainley says:

Where’s the page on FB? I searched and the pages that came up are not too current.

  87. Flat Stainley says:

    NM. Found it!

  88. Just another mom says:

    Crunchy Co-op? Or somewhere else?

  89. tat2mommy says:

Well one thing good came from DS being down…I have now finished my 10 posts at CDN lol been putting it off for so long b/c I was already a part of the other place…I already like CDN better…

  90. Just another mom says:

    It’s Mutts at Crunchy Coop

    Carry on…..

  91. Flat Stainley says:

woohoo! I can get it on my iphone! I just used the back button and now I can use it. :squeal:

  92. try me, i'm new! says:

still down for me. I got 404’d

    /channeling strongbad

  93. DocsNemesis says:

    Still down for me too.

  94. Redhead says:

    STRONGBAD!!!!! ♥

  95. MotherMoonPads says:

Who is Strongbad and Shabby can you shamelessly promote for me too? ♥

  96. try me, i'm new! says:

strongbad is a character from homestar runner, an online animated cartoon. I havn’t visited the site in ages, but it was super hysterical back in the day.

I got scrollbuttons like the day is long, redhead

  97. mommygrizzly says:

MMP: I’m in the market, will you link me, pwease??

  98. Redhead says:

I need to get caught up on the Homestar Runner/StrongBad action, haven’t been there in like a year.
MMP- there are a lot of inside jokes if you start watching the cartoons, so it is best to start in the beginning so you don’t get lost!

  99. CJ says:

Shabby, is the price right on the peace fleece? it seems so low. (I have never purchased peace fleece before so I’m not sure what prices usually are.) How many ounces in a skein? 3?

  100. MotherMoonPads says:

Well #98, since you asked 🙂
I sell at a few different places (sets are here, along with postpartum pad and matching newborn diaper sets) (semi-customs are here-you pick your length, absorbency and top fabric)

  101. kitty1163 says:

Hey shabby: I could be convinced to buy some MH if you have some of that to destash. 🙂

  102. MotherMoonPads says:

#99, I noticed there seem to be a lot of jokes I was missing. I started out on the Love Note one though and thought it was hilarious.

  103. Amygamie says:

is she talking about DODS? I don’t remember anything being said about her here but I have missed a lot of what has been going on these past three months, i’m clueless.

  104. NoOne says:

Amy, c/p most of us can’t see it still.

  105. MotherMoonPads says:

#104, that was the funniest 404 error I’ve seen yet. ”

    Error 404 – Not Found

Looks like you were fishing in some rather deep water there.

Lets try get you back to shore eh?

  106. Amygamie says:

Sorry, I’ll copy and paste it then 🙂

Mrs. Rusty wrote this on the confessions thread:

“I confess that someone told me today to go over to another blog about this forum and I read some pretty negative stuff about me. I wasn’t mad, more I felt really bad that I upset some of these Moms.
I deleted my 1st post when it was brought up that people thought I was judging them and condemning them personally as parents. That was not my intention. Then I asked some people to delete the posts that quoted said post. Not because I think I’m all knowing, powerful or special. I did it because I didn’t want to offend anymore ladies here than my stupid post already had. When I said I thought people would hate me; I thought people would just think I was a tool bag not they would think I was bashing anyone personally.
so I confess again that I’m sorry to anyone who took that personally. I’m not looking for any kind of sympathy just trying to put out an apology to the people who took my thread the wrong way and were offended, that was never my intention.”

  107. try me, i'm new! says:

so why wouldn’t she just come to the blog and say that? meh.

  108. Redhead says:

Amy, she wrote a VERY judgmental post in the confessions thread and totally FLIPPED her lid when someone called her out on it.. started PMing people who quoted her to delete her quotes and acted like a victimized twat all the way around.
Looks like she still isn’t over it.

  109. Redhead says:

    108 – Because she is Ultra-Dramafied.

  110. tat2mommy says:

109 Is she the one who was bashing people for seeing positives on pee sticks?

  111. Redhead says:

    IDK, I

  112. Redhead says:

    Hit the wrong button.

I don’t know. Pretty sure she threw a fit about vaccinations, breastfeeding, co sleeping and raw milk..

  113. tat2mommy says:

Yea I think she threw a fit when mamas would see a positive for someone and she didn’t see it. Said something about giving false hope I believe…

  114. tat2mommy says:

But I don’t remember seeing the page here about her though…anyone have a link?

  115. mokey says:

so weird, DS is working on my iphone too… but not on the comp with safari or firefox… but iphone yes… odd…

  116. DSDM2 says: not much there in the comments, but that is all I can find.

  117. tat2mommy says:

117-LMAO! Thanks for the link…so many comments it will take a while. BUT I did get to read a hilarious post by cootershoes (stole from someone on CDN ;)) that I had missed somehow…

  118. mommygrizzly says:

Maybe it’s just me, but it is SUPER annoying when someone who has NO kids and about 3 ounces of life experience comes out to try to tell me how to mother my children. It’s seriously all I can do to not berate them until they are literally 5 inches tall.

FOR THE RECORD: If you have no kids, I don’t give a single shit about what your mom/sister/cousin/aunt/neighbor down the street did to help their kids get through *insert issue here*.

I mostly end up saying, as nicely as possible: I’ve been doing this MOM thing on my OWN *with husbands income and periodic physical appearances* for more cumulative years than you have been alive. If I wanted advise, I’ll be sure to ask.

  119. mommygrizzly says:

116 — DS is working on my iphone too but not my MacBook. hmm.

  120. Redhead says:

Her [loudly proclaimed] opinion is just so far from 98% of the community she is in, I don’t understand why she is even there.

I’m all for supporting those TTC, and am sure I don’t understand all the pain and anguish of going years without being able to get pregnant, but she needs to mellow out if she really doesn’t want to offend people like she said in her “apology”. My thoughts are she saw an opportunity to cause drama again (esp with others discovering the blog today) and wants some @$$ pats.

  121. smartassmama says:

Yep. It’s as helpful as me telling you how to do an appendectomy because I’ve watched more episodes of ER & Grey’s than humanly normal. No real life experience. Armchair quarterback (I knew I’d remember what it was called).

  122. smartassmama says:

    She posted it last night.

I can get DS on my laptop but not my Droid. Weird.

Maybe someone fed up with the e-Herp hacked the site?

  123. Amygamie says:

Did she used to have a different avatar? For some reason I am thinking it used to be a blondish woman in a wedding dress? I might just be really confused.

  124. smartassmama says:

I think she used to have a picture of herself with Mr. Rusty. I’m not sure.

She’s also changed her signature recently. Took out her real first name and the fact that she’s an RN.

  125. smartassmama says:

    And I don’t think she’s a blonde.

  126. Redhead says:

Yeah, I think she has dark brown hair.. and her last avi I saw was a monkey.

  127. mommygrizzly says:

Blonde or not, she is an idiot.

  128. Mrs. Rusty says:

I was not nor am I now looking for a$$ pats or drama, not my style. I was apologizing for my BS. I didn’t post here last night because I’ve never posted here. I saw the thread here from when around the whole incident and I saw how offended people were and I felt like a DB so I apologized it was really that simple. I left my apology on the same thread that started the issue I figured that was the most suitable place.

@121 you’re 100% right I do need to mellow out and I’ve been trying to. I’m not going to get into the ins and outs of my TTC stuff with anyone here. But I will say so far the RE’s office has given me an even fatter ass and some crazy mood swings. it’s not excuse and I’m not trying to pretend it is.

  129. shabbychic says:

I have no MH. The PF was sold to me at that price so I am reselling it at that.

No more chit chat. BUY THE YARN.

  130. tat2mommy says:

Ok…I know nothing about sewing, but need to make a T-shirt out of a romper. How do I sew it after I cut? Do I *have* to use a machine? I know this may seem like a dumb question, but I didn’t want to screw it up 🙂

  131. try me, i'm new! says:

131 – I’m actually going to say that sounds fair enough, looks like you’re working on a nice pair of BGP’s

  132. dundundun says:

do do da do do! do do da do do!

    Lightswitch rave, anyone?

  133. tat2mommy says:

134-LOL I would, but my bossman might get irritated.

  134. Mrs. Rusty says:

    Sorry for being a DB.

BTW my old avi on DS was my wedding flowers in my left? hand and part of my dress. You can’t see my hair in the picture.

yeah I’ve changed my Siggi a quite few times very recently. I went blinkie crazy, then there was too many lines.

  135. Redhead says:

    Mrs R,
I’m sorry I thought your apology was looking for A$$pats. 🙂
But usually when someone who was mentioned here finds the blog, they usually post on DS about it and it stirs up some drama and etc.. Then they whine about how we’re all hateful (not that you said that, I am generalizing the experience).

Some of us are banned from DS (*cough*) so we can’t see what is happening there, just what is posted here.

  136. tat2mommy says:

GAH! Redhead you found me hehehe

  137. Redhead says:

    Well, I *AM* a stalker, don’t cha know?! 😉

  138. Mrs. Rusty says:

@137~ Well I’m generally rather BS free but very sarcastic, don’t get me wrong I can be a raging B!@#h. When I’m out of line I’m out of line and as big girl I take responsibility for that.
You’re Tangerineflamingo on DS right? Did you just get banned? WTH for?
Didn’t realize you couldn’t see it. I figured the place were I was out of line was the place to make it right KWIM? I never mentioned the name of the blog and basically said I felt like a jerk and said I was sorry.

After I apologized I read through a bunch of this blog and I was like oh hell no I’m not fu@&ed like Fel!$ha I need to straighten this out and fast

  139. tat2mommy says:

Well I do now! LOL I had NO idea who you were…til nooowwww 🙂

  140. smartassmama says:

I Just got a sig. warning the other day too. 😦
I changed mine and I guess I accidentally added a line break. Ooops.

I understand the need for rules. But a short post will still take up buttloads of space due to all the crap on the left.
What irks me are the people whose names or locations are so long that their post is pushed off to the right. I have to scroll on my phone/iPod to read it all. Make me work, ugh. :p

  141. smartassmama says:

I just find it odd that if one of us mentions the blog, even via pm, that pm can *mysteriously* tip off admim to strike/ban. But someone messages you about it & I guarantee they won’t get in trouble.

  142. KylemThomas says:

HI all I’m the pastor’s wife that started that thread about Chey. I was so surprized when I saw the thread pop back up the other day.
I completely had a brain lapse and just said her username without really thinking. Then I ended up with a “strike” because of what I did inadvertantly. I complained and the moderator was very nice and since the thread was so old she had the “strike” removed.
I’m really trying to move on. You know forgive (its hard)

Anyway, so I don’t get the whole DS being hacked. I’m really frustrated. Why can some people get on, but others can’t ? I was trying to trade something

  143. Redhead says:

Yes, I am TF. I guess I got banned (2-3 weeks ago?) for poking the Demon-attacked-my-baby troll and outing MavericksMom as that Erin12345 chick (oh, & I believe AutumnStar (organicmomma here) on DS had something to do with it too.. WICKED!! TRICKSY!! FALSE!!) . They never told me why, I just was banned all of the sudden.
I can see stuff on DS with one of my computers, but it seems my IP was banned on the other. IDK. Weird.

I’m over on CDN as SisterEncarnacion, but I’m such a newbie there I don’t post much yet. 🙂

  144. Redhead says:

ooohh! If admin dug through my PMs after I got booted like we think they did, they’re gonna be weirded out.
More than half of my PMs are in code or movie quotes to several of my friends.. none of it makes sense to the anyone just glancing through. They prolly think I am involved with the Illuminati or something now, lol!

  145. kitty1163 says:

131: No MH? Didn’t you horde it all last year? GahhhH I missed out on Yarnoodles MH today and I am so so sad about it 😦

  146. mbl says:

screw diaperswappers, I just found my new addiction! You guys are great!

Redhead, I think I know who you are and I miss your humor around that place. Not the same without you 😉

Im surprised that DS admins said the site was hacked on facebook but on the mothering forums she said she was just switching hosts/servers (cant remember which one she said).

    Odd all around.

  147. mbl says:

I meant “they said on facebook the site was hacked” not “hacked on facebook…”

  148. mbl says:

I guess I should refresh before commenting! Tangerine Flamingo, now I remember what your UN was! hehe

  149. Flat Stainley says:

Shabbychic, That Peace Fleece and the Spumoni- are they soaker or longie-worthy? Would they felt much? You are tempting me, lol.

  150. Flat Stainley says:

I can’t get on on my iphone anymore and the mall just didn’t cut it for me today. I hate malls.

  151. Redhead says:

    Shabby, I PM’d you on HC. 😀

  152. shabbychic says:

Redhead, you did? Where, lol. Peace Fleece rocks for soakers and the spumoni is sold.

  153. Flat Stainley says:

Redhead, did you just buy that Spumoni? Blarg! I was getting ready to hit BIN!
Post some more good deals, PLEASE, Shabby!

  154. Flat Stainley says:

Okay, what about that blue sky alpacas bulky? How’s that and how does it compare in thickness to say…MM or cestari?

  155. shabbychic says:

OK, you guys rock. PF gone, Knitpicks gone. The blue sky alpacas is chunky. Thicker than both MM or cestari which are worsted. Redhead, I replied. 🙂

  156. Flat Stainley says:

Okay, thanks! How about the TIG Maple Sky? Are there 4 skeins there?

  157. shabbychic says:

Yes, its 4 colors, 4 ounces total, 285 yards.

  158. Flat Stainley says:

Or is it superwash? I heard that’s not good for rough toddlers & crawlers. Sorry to sound like such a dumbass, but I am relatively new to wool.

  159. Flat Stainley says:

    It is purdy!

  160. Flat Stainley says:

    :Holy Sheep: 91 shoppers online!?

  161. shabbychic says:

its ok, lol. The TIG would not be good for a diapering item. I just reduced a bunch of stuff.

  162. Redhead says:

No, Flat, I got the Maple Sky! I ♥ neutral colors.. and I am eyeing that Denim and Creme De Menthe, but I should probably stop now.. haha 🙂

  163. shabbychic says:

Thanks Redhead. Dont stop. I’ll reduce them both a bit for you. You decide 🙂

  164. Flat Stainley says:

That Maple Sky is lovely. ♥ I was interested in that Spumoni. Drat! That was a GOOD DEAL! I got the Peace Fleece. Hmmm. I need diapering wool, but those gorgeous longies are still out of my price range.

Anybody know of any screaming deals on HC or Spots?

  165. CJ says:

So that is who snagged the PF! LOL. I made the mistake of stepping out to the farmer’s market and street fair for a couple of hours before I heard back about the weight and then *poof*, it was gone, of course. I snagged the Alpaca though….now I just have to figure out what to make with it. Thanks for the deals Meg. 🙂

  166. Flat Stainley says:

    Hehe, sorry CJ!

  167. Redhead says:

dang, someone beat me to the denim and cream de menthe! Lucky!
That’s what I get for trying to order out from our Italian Restaurant…

  168. CJ says:

    No worries. Enjoy!
The gigantic basket of Lebanese and Russian treats from the market will help me recover. 😛

  169. mommygrizzly says:

Sorry, Redhead, DH got paid and I went shopping. ::blush:: I didnt see you wanted it till after I bought 3 of her listings!

  170. Redhead says:

Haha! It is fine, I didn’t need to spend anymore PP anyway. Let me know what you make from them, they are beautiful colors!

  171. shabbychic says:

Thanks everyone!! More to come! Anyone looking for longies?

  172. Mrs. Rusty says:

redhead~ So you got banned because of the demon dream thread? I thought all you asked her was to see if she had PPD/PPP and to get some sleep. Not sure about the other stuff. the only OM stuff I saw was here. Well, I guess you learn new stuff everyday

  173. shabbychic says:

HOLD UP there sista. We are selling yarn. Shush.

  174. CJ says:

LOL Meg. You remind me of my pushy toddler. 😛 Love it

  175. Redhead says:

I think OM went to the mods about me with crap she made up. I never said anything to her on DS.

I got snarky with the demon lady. And with MavericksMom in the same thread, because she was being her usual idiot self.
And I got reported for making a parody of Twilight in the confession thread. Since that all happened in 1 weekend, I guess it was too much.

  176. Flat Stainley says:

169…Maybe, but I would rather hoard yarn and then make them myself, lol.

  177. CJ says:

169 : Ooooh, more wool? Nice!

  178. Flat Stainley says:

That twilight comment? What BS! Sorry, but everyone is entitled to their opinion, I guess the confessions thread wasn’t the place to voice it? Sheesh.

  179. Flat Stainley says:

    My refresh button hurts!

  180. try me, i'm new! says:

134 – be careful, or i will revoke your crisper drawer privileges.

  181. Redhead says:

Yeah, the Twilight thing was just a joke. Apparently poking fun at Twilight is Sacrilege. 😉 I am a sinner.

  182. Redhead says:

Shabby, do you have any wool yarn scraps?

  183. mommygrizzly says:

    I’m Catholic, I don’t believe in Twilight.

  184. shabbychic says:

Redhead, like a scrappy set by all one dyer or a collection of scraps from what I have used?

  185. Flat Stainley says:

Hey wool mamas, what happens if you combine some BFL aran with a little cestari and some superwash into a pair of longies? Is that bad? I’m debating on some aran, but I don’t know if it’s a good idea to combine different yarns like that for some scrappies.

  186. shabbychic says:

I myself do not like to combine different yarns in scrappys. Maybe I would use cestari and MH together, but thats really it.

  187. CJ says:

Redhead read my mind on the scraps!

Flat….If you don’t mind the different textures it will work BUT each yarn wears differently over time so keep in mind that they won’t age uniformly; especially with the superwash in there.

  188. Redhead says:

scraps on what you have used.. just any scraps laying around. I’m making felted crafts!

  189. Flat Stainley says:

Yeah. I thought that with the superwash, but I wasn’t sure about the rest. Superwash isn’t great for longies, correct? But it *might* be alright for a few fine stripes??? Thanks, ladies!

  190. shabbychic says:

sure, let me go look and i will snap a picture.

  191. mamk4 says:

omg meg…you seriously dropped the price on those mustgos…..they are gorgeous……so tempted….

  192. CJ says:

Flat, you can use superwash for longies but it doesn’t have the same level of functionality as untreated wool. It also doesn’t hold lanolin. It seems to be fine for light day use or over-a-pocket longies. If you use it for stripes, just avoid using it around the crotch area.

  193. TaraC says:

    #119 –

I mostly end up saying, as nicely as possible: I’ve been doing this MOM thing on my OWN *with husbands income and periodic physical appearances* for more cumulative years than you have been alive. If I wanted advise, I’ll be sure to ask.

I think I love you, are you me?

  194. Flat Stainley says:

CJ, I was thinking about starting a few stripes just above knee level with the superwash, and maybe doing cuffs in it, since I read somewhere that it’s not the best for soaker material. Thanks for the advice! 😀

  195. Flat Stainley says:

Hey, I can get back on with my iphone again. FB says some are getting on too.

  196. mommygrizzly says:

191 — not you, just me with very little patience for people who think that I am 1) interested in their opinions on my parenting tactics or 2) are sure that their experience of their husband having to work the overnight shift at WalMart is somehow the same as my husband spending a YEAR at a time in a WAR ZONE. I gotta stop before I go to far. 😉

Little cranky right now, tired of re-focusing kids attention on the task at hand. Husband is on his way home. Been gone 2 weeks now. FINALLY! Oh, and I got some new fluffy on the way, so that makes things A LOT better too, ‘eh, Shabby??

  197. Flapjacks says:

Dammit I just gained 10lbs munching on chocolate rocks reading all of this!

I just found this place today. I knew it had to exsist somewhere and I’m glad it does.

  198. mommygrizzly says:

199 — LOL! It’s totally not nice to bring up the “C” word without offering to share.

  199. shabbychic says:

    Shhhhh, back to yarn.

More listed. Scraps for you Redhead.

  200. mbl says:

Redhead, Did you really get in trouble from the twilight comment? Thats ridiculous! I was the on to say something on the thread but I totally meant it as sarcasim. Crazy people over there I tell ya…..

On another subject…I cant keep up with you ladies! My comments take forever to show up 😦

  201. mbl says:

ever end up making that movie? haha

  202. shabbychic says:

Listen, enough with the banning talk. I have been banned twice. Or was it 3 times. Never mind. Back to yarn please.

  203. mommygrizzly says:

Can I order a baby girl off spots? uuugh this 10 weeks is going to take forever to find out. I NEED a tiny girl!!

  204. Flat Stainley says:

205- I’d check Craigslist, lol. The last 10 weeks are so hard! Especially in the summer heat. I feel for ya. DD1 is 14 on the 11th.

  205. mommygrizzly says:

What’s with the fire sale, Shabby? short on rent this month or what?? ::goodvibes:: 😉

I totally cannot buy any pink until I have a Jelly Bean that I can make wear it.

  206. mommygrizzly says:

I am ONLY about 11 weeks now, I have 10 more until the BIG ultrasound, I plan my babies so I don’t have to do the horrible stretch in the summer. I did it with my first and I’ll never EVER do it again. UGH!

    Sorry to imply otherwise.

  207. shabbychic says:

    Yup, short on rent 😉

  208. Myself says:

Stop buying Shabby’s yarn and buy MINE!

  209. Flat Stainley says:

Oh, I see. Still, it’s nice to know what you’re having. I found out with my last one, but the first 2 were surprises. I liked waiting better, though. Although with the 3rd, I’m glad I found out because it gave me time to sell of all the girls clothing to fund new clothes for my lil boy. 🙂

    Congratulations. When are you due?

  210. Flat Stainley says:

    Myself, you got a link?

  211. shabbychic says:

    Hush up 210

  212. CJ says:

    Stop with the yarn already!
DH left for work this afternoon and when DS asked why he had to go DH quickly replied, “So I can make money for mommy to spend.”
I’m trying to prove him wrong. lol

  213. mommygrizzly says:

Feb… I tried to not find out for 3 of my kids, but they were all boys and they were too proud of their junk for me to pretend I didn’t know what I was seeing.

  214. CJ says:

    Linky Myself?

  215. Myself says:

If I have anymore I’m not finding out.

  216. CJ says:

    LOL. Should have refreshed first.

  217. Myself says:

    217 – I linked in 215.

  218. Redhead says:

202-Yes. Some “anonymous person” msgd me on my Etsy saying I was mean on every thread I posted in, that (twilight) was one of the comments brought up about my meaness. It may have just been MavsMom, OM and RM/her trolls following me around, reporting everything. IDK.

Shabby, you’re my hero! Banned 2-3 times?! Wow!

And Myself.. DROOLING over your yarn. Thinkin’ I need something.. hmm.

  219. Flat Stainley says:

Myself, your first listing says purple & blue trims are sold. Does the top or botton trim count as blue?

  220. Flat Stainley says:

Sorry, it’s not the first listing. I was drooling over that one too. It’s the Faraway-So Close one I was asking about.

Is there a way to get the October w/o the brown trim?

  221. Myself says:

Okay this is gonna sound stupid, but I’m gonna have to go look, but if I had to fathom a guess I would say the top. BRB.

  222. Myself says:

The top one is blue, the bottom one is grey.

    And yes, you could.

  223. Flat Stainley says:

Hmmm. How much for October per skein?

  224. Flat Stainley says:

And are those 2 skeins equal in weight? 4 oz each?

  225. shabbychic says:

My yarn has been upstaged, lol. Gorgeous yarn Myself.
Yeah, Redhead, I have been banned a few times. I have been around a long time.

  226. Myself says:

5.7 oz for one and 2.8 oz for the other. 40.38ppd for both. 27.08 ppd for the larger, 13.30 ppd for the other.

  227. imasupernova says:

OMG Meg…your pics make me yearn (desire, long, crave, ache, hanker, want, covet, hunger, thirst) for some yarn and I don’t even know how to knit…

  228. Myself says:

Sorry Shabby, I have to finishing paying off my husbands car. His died and we had to buy a new to us one, sigh.

  229. DocsNemesis says:

Ack, I didn’t know you were Elf. I’ve been drooling over your yarn for awhile….lol

  230. mommygrizzly says:

Myself, I have my husbands Jeep TJ for sale… 😉

  231. Myself says:

232 – Yup, I’m Elf. Short in stature, with pointy ears.

233 – LOL, he got one from a friend, who took a down payment of half and the other half in six months but I would prefer to pay it off sooner.

  232. JustMe says:

Whenever y’all get tired of yarn, I’ve got lots of instock diapers and covers I’d like to sell. 😉

  233. Flat Stainley says:

    Meee toooo.

  234. imasupernova says:

    235 Hubby is gone getting dinner…Linky…hurry! ;p

  235. mommygrizzly says:

I don’t have them listed yet, but I have kids in stock. Super cute, blue eyed, blonds.

  236. Myself says:

    238 – Sorry I don’t buy blonds.

  237. DocsNemesis says:

I can’t buy anything more. I just ordered $150 worth of Malabrigo which is insane for me. I never buy more than 2 skeins of anything at a time, haha. But, its for my future biz. I’m excited!

  238. Redhead says:

I thought Elves were tall.. like on LOTR?!

  239. Myself says:

241 – Some are, but I’m not. I was too preemie to grow, lol.

  240. Redhead says:

Well I’m tall, and I wanna be an elf for Halloween 🙂

  241. Myself says:

243 – That will be cute, just take a picture for me.

  242. CJ says:

    235: Tired of yarn? *gasp*

  243. Redhead says:

Myself, what is the yardage/weight on the flaming marshmallows? (here I go again.. neutral color love!!)

  244. Flat Stainley says:

Well faries, I mean evles, that’s cute.
It kinda goes with the rainbows, flowers and unicorns. ♥
    Back to wool…

  245. Myself says:

246 – 3.5 oz, yardage would be around 150 if I had to fathom a guess.

  246. Just Peachy says:

No one remembers the ducks and bunnies. I so sad 😦

  247. bittymomma says:

If anyone wants to list some cute boyish 6month shorties, possibly with matching shirts, I’d love you forever.

  248. Redhead says:

Does anyone know what the deal is between Charlie Banana and Fuzzibunz? I heard there was a rip-off but not sure what the deal is or if it is even true?

  249. smartassmama says:

Charlie bananas? Never heard of em. Any relation to Charlie Waffles? 🙂 off to Google.

  250. Redhead says:

Supposedly the founder or Charlie Banana worked for FB and then copied their idea .. and now is trying to market the CB/FB diaper for less?

  251. bittymomma says:

I have some kawaii night wetters or whatever and they are the same shape, snap placement, inner material, the whole nine yards as a FuzziBunz. I’m surprised that FuzziBunz isn’t complaining about that.

  252. mommygrizzly says:

I have FB and Kawaii and the Kawaii are cut more generously. I actually like my Kawaii a lot more than the FB.

  253. Redhead says:

I’m wondering if it is just that there was a ruined friendship with Tereson and the Charlie Banana person.. and now FB is trying to ruin CBs sales.

KWIM? FB is a HUGE company- like BG, it is hard to really compete with them. I may have missed something (which is why I asked) .. so I was just wondering if it was relationship drama or really the fact that they stole an idea from FB.

  254. Flat Stainley says:

There are only so many diaper configurations and styles.

Myself, I bought a skien of so close-faraway, but what I really want is the grey trim (can you send me that, please? I must have missed the memo field.) and the October. Where did it go? 😦

  255. Myself says:

You bought the October too right? That’s what I have listed here. And yes, I can send the grey trim.

(I sent you two emails, lol.)

  256. Flat Stainley says:

I got thae confirmation email, but I don’t think it went on CC. Can you tell how the payment was paid?

  257. Myself says:

Nope I can’t tell. The payment for October isn’t there, I figured you wanted an invoice so was waiting to make sure it was you first.

  258. Flat Stainley says:

Okay that’s all straightened away. I am done. Nobody else sell to me or show me anymore FSOT wool or fabric, please. I’m climbing onto the wagon.

  259. Flat Stainley says:

And thankyou dods wool sellers! You helped me get my fix, lol.

  260. Myself says:

You sure? I have fabric for sale too.

  261. Flat Stainley says:

Oh I am sure. I just got 6 different printed knits and a big wad of FOE so I’m good. I think I can make enough trainers & fitteds now to diaper 3 kids. No selling to me! 🙂

  262. Flat Stainley says:

But I would totally trade your camo ooga for some PUL…

  263. Myself says:

LOL, if I could use PUL , I’d take you up on your offer 🙂

  264. Flat Stainley says:

    That’s okay. 🙂

Smartassmama your new avi is redonkulously hilarious!

  265. melmelly says:

Who spins? I have my neighbor’s wheel, and I have wool roving that I have been trying to spin, but there is something wonky with her wheel. She is never home, and works weird hours, so I can’t catch her.

Any good videos online? She gave me a VIDEOTAPE, but it is pretty grainy and I can’t see half the crap I need to see. I would just like some rec’s for good videos that have helped you.

All this wool talk…I need to get the boys to bed so I can pull out my needles and/or hooks and work on some UFO’s!

  266. smartassmama says:

I felt the need for a change and found it. I likey.
I figured I wouldn’t be allowed to use that cartoon butt with the hat on.

  267. hawt_tamale says:

Loving all of the yarn. Too bad I kill yarn,by trying to knit. Wierd, rectangular and dropped stitched, “scarves”.

  268. CJ says:

LOL 270. That is why I am set as a hooker. Knitting scares me.

  269. CJ says:

ARGH! Photobucket is so slow! I am going to scream!!!!!!
    Sorry, that feels better though.

  270. mommygrizzly says:

Anybody want homemade mac n cheese with brown sugar cured ham in it? I don’t have any room to put away the left overs.

  271. smartassmama says:

Sigh. I’m bummed. Bought and paid for something Sunday, seller said it would be sent Monday. Yay, right? It wasn’t picked up until yesterday (Thursday). Not a big deal, I know. But if patience is a virtue, I’m not virtuous.

  272. Too True says:

#167 I have that same Blueberry borscht PF fsot in craft supplies on DS if you want it 😉

  273. mommaton says:

Anyone know which seller this is? I don’t have the sleuthing skills yet… lol

  274. CJ says:

275: Thank you, but I’m not on DS anymore. It killed my desktop last year so I stopped going there. 😦

  275. mokey says:

    “mommygrizzly Says:
    July 31, 2010 at 12:32 am
191 — not you, just me with very little patience for people who think that I am 1) interested in their opinions on my parenting tactics or 2) are sure that their experience of their husband having to work the overnight shift at WalMart is somehow the same as my husband spending a YEAR at a time in a WAR ZONE. I gotta stop before I go to far. ”

Felisha? You’re back? Or maybe the fight Felisha got into with some girl on DS about her husband stocking overnights vs. her deployed husband… guess it hit home with you? Strange coincidence?

  276. TK10 says:

Anyone see that spots ad…the very least I can say is its in bad taste.

  277. Flat Stainley says:

Whoa, that’s pretty tacky. Not the wool-the justification for the pricing is.

  278. mokey says:

just a weird coincidence between fluffybutt and mommygrizzly but I could be way off base.

  279. DocsNemesis says:

279-yeah it is. I don’t know anything about it but still…bleh…

  280. smartassmama says:

I doubt someone would have positive feedback as a buyer if they were lying about where they live, kwim?

  281. DocsNemesis says:

That and mommygrizzly has a bunch of boy-childs, no?

  282. smartassmama says:

and years on F. I don’t mean that negatively, just that her kids are older, right?
And the boy in her av is blonde and avg. build. I think the other person’s boy is more round. Not that there’s a thing wrong with that, you should see mine.

  283. Flat Stainley says:

Yeah. No. I don’t think they’re the same person. No. yeah. No. 😉

  284. angelique says:

I’d love to learn how to knit but seriously hesitate when seeing the prices for most “good quality” yarn. I would have no idea if I was getting ripped off or how to tell the good from the overpriced.

  285. DocsNemesis says:

I’m sure people here would help ya out. Generally paying $20-25 for a skein of hyenacart wool is the norm-and if you stick to well known WAHM’s you should be fine. But theres also a ton of different types of wool for different applications. And of course everyone has their favs. It is rather complicated once I actually think about it…lol

  286. mommygrizzly says:

Monky is way off base, pure coincidence with the WalMart thing. Husband is 11B Infantryman and I everyone else plead my case pretty well. WalMart stalking just came to mind because it’s a conversation I had when we were stationed in NY.

  287. mommygrizzly says:

If you need proof, I just bought $100 in yarn from Shabby, ask her what state my PP addy is VERIFIED to and to verify my PP name is nothing close to the other mom you are thinking I am.

  288. mommygrizzly says:

287 — your best bet is getting some yarn from JoAnns before you start getting custom colorways, that way if you mess up a bunch (and you probably will) and you have to take the project apart, you wont have a bunch of money invested in your yarn. Then, once you get the hang of it, get yourself some awesome fluff.

There are books or “teach yourself to knit” kits at WM that can help get you started. has some great video tuts if you don’t want to buy a book. Knitting has lots of different needle types/sizes and other crap to buy to get started so expect to spend a little money to get started, but as long as you keep track of your stuff, it’s a one time investment.

  289. DocsNemesis says:

Yeah, I taught myself to knit using online tutorials. Especially videos, they helped a ton.

I was one of those annoying get the hang of it immediately type people though. I don’t think I knit any better today then I did then, I just know more techniques and I’m about 10 million times faster. Haha.

The only bad thing is I learned English style and can’t for the life of me get the hang of continental. I’d probably be even faster if I could 😦

  290. DocsNemesis says:

I was just reading Colleen’s blog and about what all happened and wow…I gotta say, if I had some of her yarn hanging around, I think I’d auction it off for her kids fund. Or maybe knit it into something for her kids if that were a possibility. And I’m poor. I just couldn’t sell it like that…I’d have to do something meaningful.

  291. mommygrizzly says:

Yeah, that does make a big difference. My friend taught herself to knit to, and while the end result looks good, she does this weird wrap and throw technique that is sort of a combination of the 2 with a little of her own ‘rigging’ in there. I was trying to get her to go in with me to teach people how to knit and crochet, and after I saw her technique, I was like, oh that will never do! She makes it work but her knitting takes twice as long as it might otherwise.

She made me a smoke ring that is TDF, so she’s got skills regardless of how she gets it done!!

  292. DocsNemesis says:

Well luckily even with the english thing going on, I can knit pretty fast. Though timing it always messes me up-sort of like with typing tests. I think I have test anxiety. lol

  293. mommygrizzly says:

LOL! I get that way with blood tests, I cut myself and I will practically hemorrhage. I need to get a blood test and my veins shrink away to nothing and it’s a huge ordeal to get anything from my arm.

  294. mokey says:

sorry, just had MAJOR flashbacks when I read that.. those words flooded right back from that thread. Just had to clear it up for my own curiosity.

  295. Amygamie says:

lol, I taught myself how to knit as well and your friend’s knitting style kinda reflects mine. 🙂 Only my way doesn’t take longer. I first learned how to knit left handed but now I can knit just as well left handed or right handed. Only one person so far has been able to learn how to knit the way I do and it was my eldest sister’s step daughter. Back went I used to go to church (when I was still in high school I went a few times) an older lady sitting in the pew behind me was watching me and she said she has never seen anyone knit like me, but she said shoot if it works for you all the more power to you.

When I taught myself to knit my junior year of high school I bought three different knitting books and took the techniques from each different book that I liked and altered them to make them work for me. I wish I could crochet though. All I ever seem to accomplish is a bunch of messy knots 😛

  296. hawt_tamale says:

Is there a way to tell good yarn from junk yarn? I have a few heaping piles,to sort through.

  297. mommygrizzly says:

There are always different uses for different types of yarn. Iwouldnt call it junk but really, you are not really going to find super high quality yarn at walmart. As a rule of thumb, that is.

The type really depends on what you want to do with it. Fwiw I hate red heart.

  298. mokey says:

298.. what books do you recommend? I have knitting for dummies, and it hasn’t been much of a help lol.

  299. CJ says:

If you are using it for yourself I wouldn’t worry too much about the name brand. Just go by texture and feel. If you like it, keep it. If you don’t like the feel of it, pass it on.

  300. CJ says:

298: There are great crochet tutorials on youtube. I find a video easier to follow than a book when it comes to learning a stitch. The Stitch N Bitch crochet book is also very easy to follow.

  301. smartassmama says:

JHC. It’s a slow day on DS & CDN.

  302. silvaheyes says:

Some of you were asking about Charlie Banana.. This was posted on on LJ earlier.

Fuzzibunz CEO is asking people to beware of “Charlie Banana” diapers. The person producing Charlie Bananas once worked for Fuzzibunz and has taken production ideas and is using them for her own profit. Here’s an email from Fuzzibunz CEO to one of the managers where I work:

It is with a truly heavy heart that I write this email. We have always strived to be a company that operated with high morals, ethics and truly do care about all of our retailers. We don’t attempt to mislead you, we are honest and we (to a fault) expect others to operate the same way in business.

We received an email today from one of our retailers about a “new product” that is being launched called “CHARLIE BANANA” which is a very VERY similar product to our One Size Diapers made by a company called “Winc Design” that is based in Hong Kong. I would like to ask you to kindly decline the offer to sell this product….and below I will tell you why. I have never asked this before of any of our retailers and will likely never have to ask it again. Please read on for the explanation.

A year and a half ago I was approached by a woman by the name of Gaelle Wizenberg who ran a company called Winc Design. She had “big plans” for FuzziBunz – wanting to achieve “FuzziBunz world domination” as she called it. She wanted to be the exclusive distributor for the product both international and more important to her in the USA! She wanted only the BIG BOX accounts – and did not want to fool with the “little people” as she referred to the other 99.5 of my retailers. My “wahm retailers” were way too small for someone like “her” to deal with so she would “let me keep them” as she put it – whatever – there is strength in numbers, a concept she would never get. She had her eye on the big prize “Target, Walmart, Babies R Us” I allowed her to be the international distributor – although she constantly wanted the USA. And we constantly disagreed as the integrity of the product (NOT being sold in Walmart) was far more important to me than big profits.

Ms Wizenberge was not satisfied with our manufacturing (neither were we for that matter) and helped set up the product for manufacturing in China with a very reputable factory there that could handle the quantities we needed. She called herself now our “MANUFACTURER’S AGENT” and would now take 15% of what we produced for all of the ” HELP” that she was giving. As I trusted her – I agreed so we could set up manufacturing and get the quality and quantity that WE needed for all of our accounts.

Ms Wizenberg continued to inch her way into the FuzziBunz structure – during this time I (Tereson Dupuy) myself and without any help from her invented the now “One Size Diaper” using the replaceable elastic system that is now PATENT PENDING which we WILL defend once it is granted. Although people close to me told me “do not trust her – do not trust her” I listened and insisted she would never take my ideas and make her own (although honestly I thought the same). I ignored my own instincts and those of others for the sake of not wanting to “assume” anything negative. Again, I see the positive and good in people more so than the bad. I should have listened. But she was a manipulator to the highest degree so I bought into “you can trust me Tereson” mantra.

Not soon after we started manufacturing in China we started seeing problems with our PUL delaminating. As our AGENT she should have made good on that. She REFUSED to admit any fault on her part and left us stuck replacing over and over and over again bad PUL – which we continue to do and honor to this day as we DO believe in customer service and making what is wrong right. We decided at that point to go “Factory Direct” using an in house agent to take care of our account there – we have been VERY pleased with that and we eliminated the 15% agent fee and have been able to make our diapers more affordable now for our retailers.

We have also worked directly with the factory to fix the PUL problem – something that we (the factory and I) accomplished.

Shortly after ABC last year – and due to many factors that I will not go into – suffice it to say “irreconcilable differences” we (I) decided to go our different ways. I had a feeling that she would come out with her own “pocket diaper” brand and try to compete with FuzziBunz – however I did not think she would stoop so low as to copy our One Size design.

She is now making a brand IN THE SAME FACTORY that is making FuzziBunz (whole other story) and is using OUR numbered and replaceable elastic system and she is MARKETING THIS TO YOU! as the CHARLIE BANANA brand. You will also see from her a direct knock off of our hanging diaper bags, diaper totes and wipes. The factory is just embroidering her logo on the products instead of mine.

Now, to answer your question no I am not happy with the manufacturer and I am dealing with that in my own way. However the best thing that YOU can do to help is to say NO to CHARLIE BANANA! There is already so much competition amongst diaper companies in the states – but at least I can say that we are all somewhat respectful to one another not to clearly just take the product, take the manufacturer, take the pattern, take the know how, take the material sources and slap another logo on it and contact the accounts of that person and try to sell them the same product. I think Ms Wizenberg underestimates the intelligence, ethics and loyalty of our retailers.

I really am sorry to have to write and send this email. It is sad that everything that people “assumed” and “expected” about this person has come to fruition and even worse! I don’t want you to do business with this person because she blatantly and with no remorse has stolen from me but moreover because she lies, cheats and will never back up any warranty that you may bring her way. You don’t deserve that.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this email. And I would appreciate moreover, your support in this matter.

    With Kindest Regards,

    Tereson Dupuy, CEO
    FuzziBunz Diapers

  303. dundundun says:

    That makes me sad 😦

  304. DocsNemesis says:

Well, they definitely look similar, though not exact. And she’s doing some sort of disposable insert option thing. But yeah, it seems reallll shady. Why not just come up with something similar, but your own? I mean, most diapers are like that…theres only so many ways to make something…but to blatantly copy? Lame.

  305. Incognizable says:

UGH, I feel another lawsuit coming on from Tereson. Whatever happened with the happy heiny lawsuit she had pending?

  306. eeek says:

What was the lawsuit? I googled it, but I only got the HH facebook page saying Tereson had filed a lawsuit, no other info I could see…

  307. Amygamie says:

The books I used the most were these two cheapy ones I got from an old ladies’s garage sale 😛

    and this one:
    I only had the book

I had other books but I liked that I could quickly open these up and find what I was needing help with. I just kinda picked and choose what style I liked best for each stitch and such. It sucks though went you forget how to do something simple like increasing (I have dumb dumb moments from time to time a.k.a. brain farts :P) hard to go back and find which set of instructions I liked best.

and I love this set, I am always choosing these needles over my metal ones:
    I ❤ it

  308. sandhillcranes says:

they look just as bulky as a fuzzi bunz….plus their women’s section is labeled “feminine secrets” ….weird. the colors look the same to me.

  309. Nacho says:

I’m new. Redhead MADE me join. 😛

  310. Nacho says:

I’m new. Redhead MADE me join. 😛

  311. Nacho says:

Oh man, my first time and I double post! Shoot!

  312. shabbychic says:

Ill tell you what good yarn and crap yarn is 😉

  313. Aj says:

Whatever, welcome to the big business world, really. I worked for Red Bull for many many many years. New competitors showed up daily, some companies were started even from past employees. That’s life. That’s business. If you have a quality product, you’ll come out on top. Sure, some people will try out the competition, but if it doesn’t stand up…then they’ll be back.

I can’t comprehend why FB is in a tizzy over this. She has brand name recognition. You don’t mention cloth diapers and not think of her.

Anyways, there’s my two cents, rant over.

  314. Redhead says:

I agree with you AJ. I think it must be relationship/friendship drama that is causing Tereson to get so upset…

  315. sourpatchbabe says:

My two and a half year old has got to have some sort of tapeworm. He’s only gained 4 ounces since his 2 year well baby check and today has eaten:

    4 pancakes
    1 sausage
2 hardboiled eggs and about 1-1 1/2 scrambled eggs
    1 banana
    1 chicken sandwich
    4 oranges
    1 bowl of cereal
    a bunch of grapes

It’s only 5pm, we haven’t had dinner yet and he’s asking for more. And today we’ve been out and about all day long so he hasn’t eaten as much as he would normally eat when at home. I fear what a teenager him will do to my food budget.

  316. Redhead says:

    Who runs the forum?

  317. Redhead says:

Sourpatch, my 2 yr old DD is going through the opposite stage, she doesn’t want to eat anything (but popsicles and candy!! arg)

  318. dundundun says:

    Sourpatch, please don’t scare me.

My two kids (both 1) basically eat like that daily. I won’t be able to afford to raise them if it gets worse!

    Kids and their… hunger. Damnit.

  319. sourpatchbabe says:

Dang he just asked for another bowl of cereal.

  320. dundundun says:

Can you get me one too while you’re at it? 🙂

  321. sourpatchbabe says:

Add in a generous plate of rice, three cups of yogurt, a pint of blueberries, and about half a pound more of grapes and that’s what he usually eats daily. It’s scary how much he eats compared to how little he weighs.

  322. CJ says:

It’s all that fruit! LOL. My almost 3 year old eats like that and he is a little peanut. He eats so much fruit though, so his digestive system is very active.

  323. Just another mom says:

312, Tereson has no choice. She has to defend her patent or she could lose all rights to it. If it can be proven that she knew about a patent infringement and did nothing about it, then went against someone else for patent infringement, she would lose. I don’t know why it is such a big deal either, but those are the patent laws from my understanding

  324. try me, i'm new! says:

at least yours eats. We’re on day two here of BOTH girls nibbling maybe 2 bites each meal and being done. sigh.

  325. sourpatchbabe says:

My God, my four year old just walked in and said:

Mommy look, I’m waddling like a penguin just like I have caca.

where the heck did he get this from? And how do I explain to his offended self that I wasn’t laughing at him just at what he said?

  326. Nacho says:

Do you guys think we should boycott Charlie Banana, or check them out ? I don’t know what to think – everyone says to support FB, but why ? YKWIM ?

  327. sourpatchbabe says:

    317. I will hold on to my belief that it’s a tapeworm. After all, that means that I have hope of killing the parasite and have him go to a normal eating pattern, right, RIGHT?

  328. sourpatchbabe says:

Speaking of tapeworms, 323 has a tapeworm through the brain. Or is that the spinal cord?

  329. CJ says:

DH bugs me about having a tape worm all the time b/c of the way that I eat. He affectionately refers to it as if it’s a member of the family.

  330. sourpatchbabe says:

Well it may be my naughty mind at work but I won’t tell you what your picture looks like…

  331. Redhead says:

    LOL sourpatch!

  332. CJ says:

LOL, I know. I hate my monster!

  333. Ribbit says:

I wish I could get my little one to eat that well. I worry about him not eating enough.

  334. anAKmama says:

301 – try I truly would have not learned to knit without that site. I can’t follow videos for some reason. Techknitter has awesome detailed diagrams of everything. Plus it’s free.

  335. Redhead says:

    haha, Nacho!!! 🙂

  336. eeek says:

First, let me say, I’m in no way pro-charlie banana, I know nothing about them, they might suck donkey balls. I have only dealt with Tereson.

Tereson’s patent covers ONE thing, the placement of the opening of the pocket. Other interpretations, other placements of the opening, are fine. The charlie banana one seems to use an envelope. Also, in that letter she’s complaining about someone else using buttonhole elastic, that other slightly annoying diapermaker (what was her business name? dark red store, yoga/eastern symbols) did that a few years ago on HC, plus a quick google search turns up a number of other diapermakers doing the same thing. And the factory, a business that works part time for her- well, if she wants her own factory with complete control over everything produced BESIDES her own stuff, she needs to buy her own factory.

Those links re:happy heineys & FB are old, and they’re talking about the time when HH supposedly challenged the FB patent (I don’t think that actually happened). That was 4-5 years ago, the HH facebook page says FB filed a lawsuit against them Oct 7, 2009.

Sometime if y’all want a bedtime story I’ll tell you about my adventures with the fuzzibunz licensee program…. it’s too early in the AM for it right now, the level of insanity was huge and it still leaves me pissed off, even after all this time. I will say, though, I know people say Tereson is much better now, but somewhere in my head I always hear that as someone like Steve Martin saying MUUUUCCH better NOOOOOOW, crazy like that echoes on. I expect this letter is in that character.

I hope someone who uses the buttonhole elastic challenges Tereson’s attempt to patent it while it’s still in discovery, otherwise it’s a much, much more expensive thing to fix later and she’s wrong, she didn’t make it up. I’m thankful I can just not care anymore, but they should.

I’d still love to know what the lawsuit was that was filed last fall, though…

I dunno, I think I’ll order a Charlie Banana when they become available just to try it-and to see just how similar they really are. Plus I kinda like the bubblegum pink and the black. <.<

Though really, I need more pockets like I need a hole in the head…

  338. Flat Stainley says:

Seriously, I tried so hard to come up with a diaper pattern that hadn’t been done. And when I did, I waited a while, and guess what?
    It’s been done!
Only so many ways to wrap a baby’s butt and call it a pocket or AIO . The universal mind is pretty amazing. Same goes with diaper store names. meh. No wonder I won’t stick with diaper making, except for my little one. WAY too time consuming and you have to work your butt off! I’d rather spend that time with my LOs. Afterall, you never get it back, kwim?

  339. smartassmama says:

I don’t see the vast similarities. From the 06 stuff I read, Thereson owned MOE, the parent company of FB. She patented the stay-dry pocket diaper with an opening on one end and a water proof outer. This was her brand new idea.

But Baby Duck Head Diapers did that in the 70s or 80s.
And the Thereson and her husband divorced, MOE & FB going to him? And her retaining the patent? One poster kinda made it sound like, “Don’t hate her, she’s just a person. $350 isn’t a lot of money, she’s going through a divorce after all.” yawn. Don’t mix business and personal life.

BG has a foldover style opening, I’m guessing that is ok? These Charlie Banana diapers, they seem to have a foldover opening, their own available disposable inserts, and then cloth ones too. Maybe trying to rope in customers and using the same factory in who-knows-where isn’t right. But I’m not going to take a side between who is less mean. I just won’t buy either anymore.

The friend who turned me on to the whole idea of using cloth mentioned once (when I asked for advice) that FBs were really popular, and that they worked well on her kids. BUT she would only use what she already owned or buy used. I assumed this was for frugality’s sake, but she said that she would never buy one straight from MOE or a store, because she patented an idea that other WAHMs were doing and now charges them for it. I thought this friend was all conspiracy theory or something. Now she doesn’t look as crazy.

On the one hand, I can’t fault her for patenting an idea if she came up with something revolutionary. But on the other, she also patented further than her design. It would be like if I were the first person to design blue jeans, so I patented the button fly, the zipper, the snap, made of denim or any other textile, regular length, capri, shorts, and skirts.

I’m torn on how I feel about it really, but I don’t think that I’ll be buying more FBs (right now, I need them like a need a helicopter, but in the future too). I also don’t think I’ll be buying any Charlie Bananas either, but I just don’t need them. And I LOATHE that button hole elastic. I like OS for ease of use on two kids. That’s not easy use.

  340. Flat Stainley says:

Smartassmama, I agree on the buttonhole elastic thing. I have an easier adjustment concept dreamed up, but I’ll probably never apply it. I didn’t like how the elastics looked on them being on the inside. Plus, they’re just easier to get messes into, IMO. Yuck.

  341. DocsNemesis says:

Flat, you can make me random diapers. I wouldn’t complain. 😛

Really I just wish I could sew knits worth a darn. Or actually use my sewing machine once a month. Haha.

RE: Fuzzi Bunz-I was a retailer a loooong time ago, sold them with almost no profit, and then got my status cut since I wasn’t selling them at full price. I couldn’t have them in stock anyway so I figured I’d give other mama’s a good deal in exchange for long shipping times. While I understand their reasoning to some extent, it still annoyed me.

On the other hand, half of my stash is FB OS and I prefer them over my BG’s (probably due to the velcro more than anything though). They would be a pain to routinely change the size on though.

  342. Flat Stainley says:

DocsNemesis, I was a retailer awhile back too! So crappy, I could not sell them at MSRP. I sold them on sale and broke even.
    I can sew you random diapers… 😀

  343. DocsNemesis says:

Yeah, thats basically what I did. I think I made like a dollar profit per diaper, but even with selling them that cheap it took a good month to get enough orders to make a minimum purchase-which was only $100 I believe. Oh well, I made a few people happy. That and sold my own dd’s FB’s used for what I paid new. Yay for free diapers. lol

Now I must stop procrastinating. Need to get this romper done before my box of yarn gets here or I’ll never finish it!

  344. imasupernova says:

“Smartassmama, I agree on the buttonhole elastic thing”

Thought we were talking about elastic butthole’s here…

    Not a subject I am very familiar with… 😉

Anyways, Sourpatch my 14 year old eats like 3 men! He does play waterpolo everyday though….imagine my budget $$…

  345. smartassmama says:

348 LMAO I needed a laugh, depressing day. Thank you 😀

  346. Too True says:

I’m glad mine isn’t the only 2yo that only eats a couple bites per meal :/

  347. Nacho says:

Charlie banana wants me to review and giveaway their products on my website, but a few diaper store owners that i really respect are telling me to not even be involved with them

    ughhhh. im so confused!

  348. DocsNemesis says:

I don’t blame you. I’d be confused too!

What I do find interesting is that the charlie banana chick hasn’t even responded to these allegations that she stole the idea from FB. Or maybe she has and I haven’t seen it. Either way, I think I’m gonna email her to see what she says. Just for shiggles.

  349. sissy hankshaw says:

Ok, way late to the party but thought I’d answer Mrs. Rustys apology since I’m the biotch that originally got so pissed. Forget it, I probably blew the situation out of proportion myself. I did get offended but I usually try not to take things so personally online and for some reason i broke my own rule that day. Let’s just all learn from it and move on. I like anyone who can own up to being in the wrong, and I’ll say I was also in the wrong for not sending you a pm instead of a public post. hugs.

  350. Flat Stainley says:

351-I’d tell Charlie to go choke on his banana. Whoops, I mean I’d tell him thankyou for the offer, but you have others lined up and that you’ll get back to them. Then, I wouldn’t, but that’s just me.
I have no loyalties to Tereson, but I do think she makes it kinda hard on retailers by allowing just about any schmuck to be a retailer, then when people start selling them on Craigslist for $5 below the MSRP, they hurt alot of local shopkeepers. Her policies are filled with self-damnation, IMO. :/

Now, if we all had elastic buttholes, wouldn’t that eliminate the need for CDs? Drawcord clamps, anyone? LOL

  351. sissy hankshaw says:

man I missed alot. I think my one and only rockin green purchase was a bad batch. I was not impressed.

  352. Mrs. Rusty says:

Sissy Hanksaw~ hugs. I get it, I broke my own rules as well. Glad we can just move on.

  353. Redhead says:

I didn’t like RnG either. I use Tide and *gasp* Gain. 🙂

  354. sourpatchbabe says:

Flat that was the single most hilarious thing I have seen all week! It would eliminate disposable diapers as well. Just hover your child up over the toilet and pull the cord. ew..

  355. mommygrizzly says:

Flat and her new form of EC. *cringe*

  356. CJ says:

I wish that my waistline was made of elastic so i could just cinch that in easily. That would be perfect.

  357. DocsNemesis says:

I use Sun. From the dollar store. I will obviously burn in CDing hell.

  358. Redhead says:

Ok Docs, I admit 2 weeks ago I bought Arm & Hammer because Gain/Tide were not on sale. I suppose I am going to burn in CD hell too.

  359. smurfmeat says:

I think the letter from Tereson is unprofessional. She sounds whiny and gives unnecessary personal details while trying to allude that there is even more to the story that she won’t deign to mention in her email. As the CEO of a business I would expect an email that was concise, factual and didn’t discuss trivial stuff like the part about things her friends told her about this CB woman. I think if she presented her case in a more mature manner more people would be persuaded to see her side.

  360. Flat Stainley says:

358 & 359- I am glad you enjoyed my potty humor, although sometimes even I shock myself with it, lol. Gotta give credit to imasupernova for mentioning it first, though. hehe 😉

BTW Docs, in post 354 I wasn’t refering to you or anyone else as a schmuck for being a FB retailer. Reading it again, it might look like that, but that wasn’t my intention.

  361. Flat Stainley says:

You all don’t use RG?! WHAT!? You’re goin strayght ta hayull for sure!

  362. aekitty says:

Maybe I’m to easily amused, but I just got a Huggies ad on DS and am cracking up. Had to find somewhere to share that one 😀

  363. Just Peachy says:

I totally rock out with Tide and I use bleach *gasp*.

  364. sissy hankshaw says:

Tide and Oxyclean here. My winning combination.

  365. Taterbug says:

I have to completely agree. The information she shared in that letter is not likely to give anyone much confidence in her as a businessperson. She ignored her gut and the advice of more than one person, and put the welfare of her business into the hands of someone who obviously had different goals that she did. Any outcome other than the one she got would have been a miracle. Knockoff product coming from China? Gee, that never happened before in the history of manufacturing. I can only hope that the people who depend on her for their livelihoods will not suffer financially from this whole mess.

  366. Redhead says:

Oh yeah, I love that sinful chlorine bleach too!

  367. Flat Stainley says:

Sometime we do use chlorine bleach, but we have to be careful because we are on septic. We have cut way back since moving here.

  368. reallytiredmommy says:

I use whatever Free and Clear detergent is on sale for less than 5 dollars.

  369. silvaheyes says:

Don’t know if you guys know this or not but Paypal will now be charging a refund fee starting Ausgust 10th.

“Amendment to the PayPal User Agreement
    Effective Date: Aug 10, 2010

•Amendment to the PayPal User Agreement
Refund Fee. Section 8.5 (Additional Fees) is amended to add a new refund fee. If you refund a Purchase Payment, we will retain the Fixed Fee portion of the Purchase Payment Fee. The buyer’s Account will be credited with the full Purchase Payment amount and the Fixed Fee portion of the Purchase Payment Fee will be deducted from your Account in addition to the amount of the refunded payment. The Fixed Fee will depend on the currency of the Purchase Payment and is listed in 8.4(c). “

  370. sourpatchbabe says:

So basically if I want to stick it to someone all I have to do is BIN on one of their expensive things and do a chargeback on paypal asking for a refund so that the seller will be out the fees? Paypal is getting too greedy for their own good without giving non ebay buyers the kind of protection they give ebay buyers.

  371. Nacho says:

i accepted the free diapers. oops! hahahaha. i couldnt help it. im not promising them a review.

  372. silvaheyes says:

    374 – Yup.

375 – I would have taken them too.. lol I’m curious to know what they look like in detail.. Her site really isn’t that great at showcasing them.

  373. Nacho says:

This is random…but ya’ll were tlaking about yarn earlier, so I am bringing it back up!

Does anyone have any Lickety Stitch Chocolate Rainbow for sale ? 😀

  374. piratebaby says:

Hmm, those Charlie Banana dipes look interesting with the pocket opening in the front. I have a boy and I hate trying to make sure everything is where it needs to be without a lot of twisting and lumps. It would be nice to stuff from the front and be able to put extra doublers right where he needs them.

  375. DocsNemesis says:

375-you can send one my way and I’ll review it. I’ll even compare to my fuzzi bunz and use my shiny new camera to do so! (haha)

  376. MotherMoonPads says:

#374, chargebacks actually cost the seller $20 each.

  377. Jacky says:

I must say that I absolutely HATE, HATE, HATE the FBOS button-hole elastic. They are not easy to use and the hanging elastic looks ridiculous. I have tried them three different times, thinking I just needed to get used to it. One day with them and they went right back where they came from.

  378. DocsNemesis says:

382-the elastic goes in little slots on mine, dunno why its hanging? Like I said though, they are a pain to change the size on if you do it frequently. I like mine though, I only use them for one kid and so far I haven’t had to readjust them since the first time (though the given sizing info was wayyyy off for us, lol)

  379. foo-man-choo says:

Want to place bets on how long it takes this to go horribly wrong?

  380. Nacho says:

charlie banana wants my phone number for “shipping” reasons. is that legit ?? i really dont think im going to give it out to them.

  381. DocsNemesis says:

Uhhh…I don’t think it is, just because I’ve never been asked for my phone number to ship anything, ever. You could always give them a fake one? haha

384-I dunno…but her sewing looks sub par from the pics I saw. I can sew better than that and I have no thoughts at all of sewing for profit. Then again, I’ve heard other big WAHM’s fail at sewing too so who knows? 😛

  382. smartassmama says:

    385 – tell them 867-5309. 😉

  383. DocsNemesis says:

  384. Nacho says:

    hahaha I should.

  385. Nacho says:

or i could give them that rejection hotline’s number! hahaha

  386. DSDM2 says:

Probably is legit, the shipping company (like UPS or FedEX) will want it most of the time. Esp if it is an overseas order.

  387. Nacho says:

i told her id rather not share it, and she said that was okay…so i guess its all good.

  388. DSDM2 says:

As for the new “WAHM” She can’t even make sure the stitching doesn’t run off the material! Look at the beige pad, right of center.

  389. smartassmama says:

But really, I think every time I order something, be it Old Navy, Kelly’s Closet, there’s always a blank for telephone number.

  390. Nacho says:

I couldn’t understand why she would even post a picture of that onesie that she cut and then “sewed in the car”

    are you kidding me ?!?!

  391. foo-man-choo says:

393 – That probably could have been avoided by learning to sew in the daylight instead of while the fam was asleep, lol

    395 – Same thought I had.

Yes please, I would pay $20 for a hand-sewn-in-the-car-onesie-converted-to-a-tee, but that’s likey due to the fact that I had a lobotomy last week and my toddler is really the one typing this message.

  392. foo-man-choo says:

The binding in the pic from post 393 just wanders off the edge, kind of like a wayward hiker in the Grand Canyon

  393. DSDM2 says:

She had never used a carrier before a month ago, how can she have a perfect design already?

  394. DSDM2 says:

and someone should tell her it is wahm, not wham.

  395. Redhead says:

    “Fatlegs”? Nice.

  396. werd says:

I always thought that people who make and sell baby carriers are supposed to carry some sort of insurance in case a baby gets hurt while in their carrier? I could be wrong!

  397. CJ says:

Those mei tais scare the crap out of me. The stiching is so wobbly. I would NEVER buy a carrier from someone who just learned to sew and obviously does not know a lot about her technique yet. Sure, everyone starts somewhere and I’m sure that she will get better over time but selling items that support a baby is NOT the way to practice.

  398. CJ says:

401: If I was selling those carriers, I would want insurance.

  399. mommygrizzly says:

I think its funny that she says she would LOVE a $100 serger. Now, I have seen $100 basic sewing machines and they definitely are not on par with a professional one, I cannot even imagine how a $100 serger would stand up. Not to mention, ok, I am totally mentioning– even little wahm need business licenses and are supposed to pay taxes. She wants to make “like $10 a week!” so she’s going to evade taxes and licenses and insurance and she is acting like thats ok because they took a 60% pay cut? Wow.

  400. smartassmama says:

if $10 will make up for that 60% cut, what on Earth did she used to do? Will $10 really make a difference? Cut out your movie channels and you’ll save way more than that. Or just about anything.

And I thought the exact same thing about carriers being made by a novice. Even if I became the best seamstress eva, I don’t think I’d be comfortable making a carrier.

And if they took such a cut, how is she justifying buying all this fabric?

  401. smartassmama says:

And I don’t even know where you’d get a $100 serger. I think the base models at Walmart are more than that.

  402. CJ says:

I sold my serger for $100 on Craigslist. It was OLD but the lady was stoked because she got a smoking deal. I would never go out expecting to get a quality sewing machine for that much, let alone a serger. She may get lucky and find a deal on something used, but she shouldn’t count on it.

And yeah, all that work for $10 a week? How is that worth it? She would make more money combing thrift shops and yard sales for things to clean up and resell for a profit.

  403. try me, i'm new! says:

dude, even wal mart charges almost $200 for their serger, about which I can make some assumptions related to quality…

  404. JustMe says:

Uh, yeah, I tried to tell that lady not to sew…in the nicest way possible…it didn’t work.

  405. JustMe says:

I have that serger (Brother 1034D), and I’m about to throw it in the lake today. I know a lot of people really like it, but I’ve never loved it. I just got it to make sure I would really use one and with the intent of eventually replacing it. Well, I’ve had it about a year and a half, I think, and I’m sooo ready to replace it!!

On that note, anyone want to buy my stuff? 😛

  406. mommygrizzly says:

Ya she says she cannot afford to buy this stuff so she started making it and she has a really great and unique diaper pattern. What?? How the he’ll does she know it’s unique if she cannot afford the super successful name brand diapers to compare hers to?? And frankly, I’m all about supporting small businesses but really, wahm diapys selling for $55??? I don’t even spend that much on my own butt and I don’t change sizes every 2 months.

  407. mommygrizzly says:

Well, I mean, I don’t normally. Pregnancy exceptions, obviously. And with the allergies, maybe I could use a diaper. I digress.

  408. CJ says:

Is that how much she wants to sell the diapers for? I only quickly braved DS to read the original post.

  409. mommygrizzly says:

No she hasn’t specified a price but there are a lot of wahms that produce decent looking diapers that ask WAY more than the populat $20 per diap of the name brand main stream diaps.

She doesn’t know what she will produce exactly, mostly whatever she can and is unsure how to price things. I wasjust projecting with the $55 comment.

  410. Redhead says:

What I can’t believe is how many people are encouraging her and saying she has marketable products. But again, it IS Diaperswappers….

  411. imasupernova says:

This WAHM stuff has to be a joke…

  412. mom2js says:

#89 yeah that is CC for Mutts.

    Um wow…

  413. mom2js says:

Wow, nvm just realized I’m days behind on this blog, lol.

  414. DocsNemesis says:

417-yeah, I saw that. Made me giggle. It looks like one of those thong things from the 80’s aerobics videos. lol

And yeah, now that I looked again, that ladies sewing is…well, definitely not wahm worthy. Not at all. She needs a lot of practice, especially before selling carriers. >.<

  415. amessymama says:

    417-OMG! It’s a little, rainbow, elephant face.

  416. CJ says:

I love that soaker, too funny. The good thing is that the seller realizes that its value lies only in the yarn for frogging. There are a LOT of others who would try to sell that as something new and unique.

  417. mommygrizzly says:

Oooh so latest is that wham was posting last month she was uncomfortable with making a MT and now she’s a PRO! plus in other posts she’s complaining about a 70% pay cut. Really?? Who makes so much of the family income and then just up and leaves their job to go back to school? Especially with little kids. That’s just irresponsible.

I e decided she is one of those folks that just bitches and wants ass pats. It’s not that hard to work and go to school. It’s a lot easier to do that than be so poor you cannot see straight or afford to get to classes.

  418. OperaDiva says:

Ha I was just coming to share that “wham” link, looks like I’m late to the bash party. Seriously, who randomly starts sewing and a month later is putting out WAHM quality work, and CARRIERS no less?? Not bad for her first Mei Tai, but WAHM quality? Not likely. Although her invisible X boxes are quite impressive, if she really has 8 boxes reinforcing the straps, I certainly don’t see them.

  419. DocsNemesis says:

Oh wow, I didn’t see that she said that. Haha. I see like 2 lines of stitching on the straps.

I made a mei tai about 4.5 years ago for my dd. At the time I was sewing all the time so I figured what the heck. It turned out pretty cute but dd hated it. Anyway, I had a TON of reinforcement stitching on mine, I was so worried about safety. When she hated it, I sold it on Ebay with the disclaimer that I wasn’t a pro sewer but the buyer loved it so I guess I didn’t do too bad 😛 I kinda wish I’d kept it though, I wasn’t planning on having more kids, lol.

  420. mommaton says:

Guess who just got their first strike. I’m sitting here scratching my head. I got a warning for WTF- but have seen it many times over since then and then now I’ve put
and that warrants a strike? Seriously I’m just cracking up. Oh well what a waste of a strike. I guess I should have put what I REALLY wanted to put and made it at least worth it.

  421. smartassmama says:

They took back that rule. There were some mods who were allowing it, and some who got their ass-kissing panties in a bunch were giving strikes for it. They talked and came to a consensus about it, I would contest that.

  422. smartassmama says:

P.S. – I’m going to start leaving random acronyms all over the place 😉

  423. mommaton says:

I’m SOOO contesting it because I just searched hell (which is the “foul language” that I used and about 50 threads came up with it in there so I guess I’ll point that out to her. Just irks me that she seriously got her panties in a wad over the word hell.

  424. smartassmama says:

OH! I don’t have my awake eyeballs in yet, or my thinker. I read it as you got a strike for WTF. But for the word Hell? Would you get in trouble for it in a religious discussion? Yeah, panties wadded.

  425. DSDM2 says:

I thought if the filter didn’t hide it, then it was ok. New mods = more strikes.

  426. smartassmama says:

I thought I had seen new mods. But I just figured that they were FSOT mods that I don’t usually see. But that makes sense – overzealous new mods trying to get their polite police quota filled.

And I thought the same thing about the filter.

  427. mommaton says:

“You do realize that if you search the word “hell” in the news and current events that there are 6 pages of threads that come up. That doesn’t include any of the other forums, in off topic alone there are 45 pages of threads with the word hell in them. I don’t really think that the word hell warrants a strike. Thanks. ”

Is the response to the strike that I sent. I’m pretty sure that if she wants to pass out strikes for hell then she’s gonna have a VERY BUSY day. LMAO

  428. dundundun says:

DAMNIT I hate it when a thread gets deleted when I’m reading it 😦

I was loving that “gypped” thread.

  429. mommaton says:

lol that thread cracked me up…seriously “slut” lol

  430. karma says:

Re : Tereson and Charlie Bananas – i find that hilarious she is talking about patent stealing by CB, because Tereson stole the One size Fuzzibunz adjustable leg elastic idea from Evolution Diapers who has had a patent pending on the concept for 5 years.

  431. Syrinx says:

Why did the gypped thred get deleted? I’m feeling gypped. 😉

  432. smartassmama says:

    Seriously? I missed it 😦
What was it about? and what was the “gypped” – “slut” segue?

  433. dundundun says:

Basically people were listing all the racial slurs in existence saying how using them makes you a horrific person.

Some chick typed “slut” instead of “slur” and it got many-a-LOL.

  434. dundundun says:

But mostly it was a bunch of people being all “LOL, I had no idea gypped was a slur!” and a bunch of other people being all “RAWR HOW DARE YOU LAUGH AT THIS SITUATION.”

  435. Syrinx says:

And why does my monster look like a horned Christmas tree on a spring?

  436. smartassmama says:

Oh, haha. I was a host of a Due In board once and a very sweet, non-bigoted mama made a post in which she used the word “bigger,” but she hit the next key over. :O And regular members only had a 2 minute window to edit there. You could tell by her sentence that it was meant to be bigger, but both words worked.

And did they really think that a list of slurs would last there?

And was dingdong on there? Apparently the OP of that thread about nicknaming balls thought that dingdong was racist.

  437. dundundun says:

    Dingdong? SERIOUSLY?

I hate it got deleted. I was about to comment warning everyone to NEVER use the word ginger again, in ANY sense, because I’m a redhead and it would totally hurt my feelings.

Ginger cookies? No ma’am! Just…. brown cookies. But, no, you can’t use brown! You might offend ANYONE with dark skin. Might as well remove brown from the dictionary.

Don’t put your clothes in the closet! You might offend the homosexual population. Just throw them on the floor.

    I mean, really.

  438. smartassmama says:

You could always put them in a dresser. But that might offend the cross dressing population. Or nudists.

And yes. She said that she thought about dingdong, but she finds it racist because she’s Asian and finds all words ending in “dong” or “ong” (I can’t remember which) to be offensive.

  439. DocsNemesis says:

Ding dongs aren’t racist. They’re tasty, especially when frozen. <.<

442-I'm sorry, I am a horrible person, I use the term ginger on a regular basis. Primarily because my sister is a ginger…I mean, a redhead. And she prefers it to being called a *carrot ass.* (when she was 5 or so she asked why they call them a carrot top since carrot tops are green. So I told her fine, we'll call you a carrot ass. See, bad things happen when siblings are 10 years apart. lol)

  440. smartassmama says:

Better to be referred to as that than a dumb blonde I guess?
And I had never heard the G-word until coming here.

  441. dundundun says:

444, thanks. Now I have to refer to myself and my youngest as carrot asses.

(FWIW, I dig Ginger. It’s better than redheaded-stepchild, which my stepfather uses incessantly) 🙂

  442. DocsNemesis says:

    *cackle maniacally*

  443. Redhead says:

So “hell” is bad now? Hmm. I guess next they can start issuing strikes for “crap” & “dang”.

  444. mommygrizzly says:

I think they are actually issuing strikes for having more than 2 working brain cells to rub together.

Mamaton- both mod steph and happy2b have said WTF is not an issue. You should never have gotten a warning for that. And if it were me I would take it to a super mod if that mod is not going to remove the strike.

  445. Redhead says:

    who issued it, Mamaton?

  446. angelique says:

    444. ha ha! you’re awesome!

  447. imasupernova says:

425 I got a warning for WTF by one mod and posted about it and was personally pm’d by sweet fantasy fox about it and was told that they decided that wtf was ok.

I would contest that for sure…

  448. mommaton says:

it was a new mod and she did come back and say that she’d remove it.

    Readhead- it was myall4him

  449. Redhead says:

So she removed your strike? Good!

  450. mommaton says:

Yeah she did- after I sent her the pm about it. 😉 at least it wasn’t wasted on something like hell. lol

  451. melmelly says:

I didn’t know the meaning behind “gypped” until a few years ago. We always spelled it as jipped when we were kids.

My husband came home from work one night and said an inmate was filing a complaint against him because my husband called his partner a moron, within the inmate earshot. The inmate felt it was too close to “maroon”, which is considered a bad word to black inmates. *eyeroll*

  452. eeek says:

Evolution diapers! That’s the one I couldn’t think of. Maybe Tereson thought she could just take it over since that company seems to have dropped out. I couldn’t find any for sale anymore, the retailers listed don’t carry them now. Classic move on her part, not like she was the first (or the tenth) person to do the pocket, just the first with the hubris to claim ownership and patent it.

TBH, I think karma hits Tereson every day. She’s not a happy person. Not that I want her crazy anywhere near me or any intellectual property I hold dear, she’s a damn johnny appleseed of unhappy and completely paranoid to boot. She’s one of those cases I use to try to convince myself to not stress out so much with my perfectionist tendencies, happy ANYTHING is obviously much better than screamingly stressed success.

  453. Aj says:

This is a few days old, but does anyone know who the other person is?

  454. DSDM2 says:

Yeah, that whole Evolution diaper thing was so wrong, this is karma for Tereson for sure… and then to make sure no retailers of hers carried them pretty much destroyed the family behind Evolution.

Didn’t her DH steal the company from her when she was “in a white jacket” for a while?

  455. silvaheyes says:

Wow, I had no idea about Evolution diaper so I looked them up. She copied them exactly, wtf? Is their patent still pending and if it is how can Tereson patent hers? I mean they are the exact same thing.

  456. silvaheyes says:

I found this on their twitter so perhaps that is why their retailers aren’t selling them?

Evolution Diapers has stopped all sewing diapers to sew for aid packages for #Hati #Cloth Diapers Please help
9:14 PM Jan 19th via web

Their last tweet was in March. :/

  457. DSDM2 says:

I doubt that is why 461. Tereson is well known for bullying her retailers.

  458. silvaheyes says:

That sucks.. I have a whole stash of FB OS and I wouldn’t have bought them if I had known this back in December. 😦 I would have waited for the new BG 4.0 (if they would have announced it was coming out then)

  459. noneyabiz says:

Tereson was smart in her press releases! She used the term evolution to describe the change in her diapers, and this over rides all the posts about her stealing the pattern and design on the search engines. Very sneaky.

  460. MeMA says:

Karama for Fuzzi Bunz, LOL, they stole their one size diaper design from a WHAM who invented it like 5 years ago and had a patent. The poor mama who invented it went bankrupt I heard because of her.

  461. Flat Stainley says:

All this talk about FB just confirms that I WAS better off ditching Tereson and her dipes when I was still fresh.

  462. MeMA says:

Ohh I just found this from April.

  463. eeek says:

I hadn’t heard about the evolution diaper thing at all. I’d love to hear details. And anything anyone knows about the lawsuit Tereson filed last October against Happy Heineys?

Tereson has issues. I’d lose a lot of respect for any retailer who agreed to her demands of ditching other diapers, it’s letting the terrorists win.

  464. eeek says:

Also, if anyone’s interested, kangawraps- a pocket diaper with the same opening as FB, with a stay dry lining- were sold in the US by, a business still in existence. The owner told me that she had sold them in the US for years, through a US distributer.

At one point in time, I was so sick of Tereson’s shit that I wanted to challenge her patent, even if I never made a single diaper, so I dug around some. She didn’t make it up, she just took a concept no one else had considered patenting since it had been around forever. Tereson has no originality. I think part of why she’s so freakishly paranoid is because she knows she’s a thief, and when you’ve screwed enough people over you look over your shoulder a lot. That and the fact that she’s insane, y’know.

  465. DSDM2 says:

All I know is that Tereson filed a lawsuit in October? of 2008, and started calling retailers looking for shit on Linda of HH, and trying to threaten them.

  466. kateri25 says:

I am so sad reading all this information on FBs. My favorite OS is a FB and it is best on my babies bottoms, but I will never buy another one after reading all this information today. I could never support a business owner with those kind of morals. Now I want to try a CB just to do so, sounds like this person has done nothing more than what she did in the past.

  467. smartassmama says:

I’m really surprised this OP has gotten away unscathed.
Discipline? CIO? Infants? I’m shocked she’s not yet been flamed.

  468. Kirsty says:

So apparently there has been some mod. regrouping at ds. The other day I noticed that Jacquelinemarie82( ) had received negative feedback. Today I see that-in true diaperswappers fashion- her negative feedback has disappeared and she’s no longer a mod. The negative feedback for the seller stuck. I guess the seller shipped late, JacquelineMarie filed with PP and got a refund and kept the item as well. Shitty seller or not- I still call that stealing. When I saw the negative I decided to get a screenshot (you all have taught me well!) to see if they would remove it…sure to never disappoint- they did. Reason number 1 I will never bst with a mod. I wonder if one has anything to do with the other???

  469. Flat Stainley says:

And just checked out the intros. I think salmonsandwich & Shalom could be the same person or maybe even JM herself? Or someone else upping their post counts. Hrm

  470. mommygrizzly says:

I wish I knew what flat was referencing. I wish I could check this and ds on a reg comp so I would have a chance of figuring out myself. I am camping and have to sneak my fixes on my iPhone. Sooo slooowwww.

  471. Redhead says:

Kirsty, I can’t see the link.. can you C/P?

  472. not me at all says:

So…who can tell me how a messages just vanish from my inbox on DS? All the messages concerning the word gypped are mysteriously gone…

  473. Munklettes says:

I bought one of those Evolution diapers with the buttonhole elastic well over a year ago! I didn’t like it, though, because the pul wicked (it was woven fabric that got PUL’ed) – I loved the idea, though.

  474. Kirsty says:

Redhead- it’s just her profile page for those who don’t recognize her name. Just like they took care of BethFluttersby negative feedback, they have deleted this one too so there’s nothing to c&p. Typical.

  475. smartassmama says:

    So, that screen shot? 😉

477 – I would definitely be asking SOMEONE about that. How’s that for some fucking proof that they read our PMs? If the other person in the convo was going along with it, you know that they didn’t report it.

  476. smartassmama says:

And I’m really holding myself back from mentioning that on their FB page. You know, to alert other members.

I know it didn’t happen to me, but privacy stuff really bunches my pammies.

  477. Kirsty says:

Hmmmm. Bear with me here. I can’t imbed pics right? I can only attach a link to my pb? Hope this works. I suck more than a little at this kind of shizzle.

  478. Redhead says:

    Link worked! 🙂

What was the deal with Bleachbaby.. didn’t she sell a bunch of cool woolies and then waited forever to ship? I remember something weird about her saying her sister was in the hospital but then later H2BAM said it was the actual seller (bleachbaby) in the hospital?
That was an all-around weird situation IIRC.

  479. Just another mom says:

Reading about the Imperative WHAM! LOL! I feel sorry for her, but seriously $10 a week? $100 Serger? Okay, I have two sergers. I used them for 6 months and they both died needing a major cleaning. One was a Singer I bought used for $200 and the other was a Janome I bought used for $400. Neither of them were professional machines. The cleanings themselves cost $75 EACH! If I only made $10 a week I would have been in the hole right there. She doesn’t get it, and I really do feel bad for her. Her sewing needs a lot of work too and if one baby falls while her carrier is being used, she can kiss her home, her everything goodbye. Start off small….seriously.

  480. angelique says:

    473. Just from personal experience, I wouldn’t assume anything about a transaction. I know I have gotten so screwed before and it might have looked “bad” on the outside but if you knew all the details, it would be a whole different story. That happens all the time even here on the blog. Everyone rushes to support someone and then we get the full details and all flame her together. Anyway, no biggie, I am just saying that you really can’t assume anything with transactions. I saw that bleachbaby has two negatives actually and a “do not BST to” under her avi and a huge thread in FSOT that shows that there were numerous refunds, no shows and I don’t know what else. (I didn’t read the whole thing)

something was definitely up with bleach baby. That probably had nothing to do with that mama not being a mod anymore.

  481. Kirsty says:

485- Oh I can totally get that. I just don’t understand why the feedback tends to disappear when mods get negatives. For everyone else they’ll switch them to neutral if it’s decided to be unwarranted but mods get them deleted entirely. I just think that’s bs. I won’t bst with mods for exactly that reason. It’s just like the ratings system doesn’t actually apply to them.

  482. smartassmama says:

    What a clusterfuck.
    I don’t think I buy it.
-Kayla posts, says Sister in in hospital, must sell bunches of wool very cheaply.
-Kayla doesn’t ship, says it’s because too many people are buying, & Sister is quite ill.
-H2bam gets Kayla’s address & IP then gets her phone number from there.
-Sister answers phone, totally oblivious to the fact that SHE is sick, but Kayla is.
-says Kayla must have used Sister’s computer to list all.those.items. and other posting, yet she somehow never noticed.
-Sister gets on to apologize & clarify, but types like Kayla. She even uses ‘mama’ in a generic way that I’ve never seen outside of DS/CDN. In fact, it kinda weirded me out in the beginning. I don’t think a non-member would get the jargon, or know the ins & outs of navigation & marking sold, pending, pending does NOT equal sold.

    It’s sketchy.

  483. Redhead says:

    Yeah. Too weird.

As for JM- I always liked her as a mod. Maybe because she wasn’t very active.. haha 🙂

  484. Kirsty says:

Indeed it’s all kinds of sketchy and I’m too busy being fat and ignoring my kids to try to make sense of it :p But when they poof feedback that way it just reeks of nonsense. I did read the 1 page that was linked and there did seem to be some problems with people getting their wool and keeping the refund though and, no matter how bizarre shit gets, that’s just not on.

  485. Redhead says:

Yeah, I really disagree with the removing of FB. ESPECIALLY when they are so biased about who gets it and who gets it removed. :yuck:

  486. mommaton says:

here’s a good one. 🙂 You know it’s always gonna be good when it starts with “I’m probably gonna get flamed”

  487. DocsNemesis says:

Eeeek! My yarn is here! *rolls around in smooshy soft heaven*

  488. Redhead says:

Docs! I got some yarn today and more is coming tomorrow.. plus I had a big box of fragrance/essential oils show up for me to scent my dryer balls!

    I love MAIL!!

  489. DocsNemesis says:

I got 10 skeins of single ply Malabrigo and 2 skeins of Twist. O_o The colors are perfect too, except for one…its too orange and I really need a yellow as I’m doing a rainbow…of longies…lol

  490. smartassmama says:

493 – Yay for good smellin balls!
