Oh no! Looks like we got some rogue postal carriers.

No package! (http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=753986)

No package!
I hate to be here but it does happen! I paid a mama for some stuff and it still has not arrived!! After the first week I Pm’ed her and she said it would go out in the morning something about a person at the PO not liking her and holding packages!:headscratch: Then the next day 5-18 I got an email from PP saying that a mailing label had been shipped, and it still just has that same info today:banghead: I tried to pm her again and nothing and it says she has not even been on since the 21st!! What do I do?? Oh and I just went back to her feedback and a couple of mamas have recently added negative feedback for her!! How much longer should I wait before just filing with PP?? I have never had to file a dispute for and don’t really want too but that was alot of money!! Any advice would be greatly helpful!! Thanks so much ladies!!!
People are losing their minds!! Who in their right mind sends diapers with poop and skid marks to a buyer? And even worse, she left WHAT kind of feedback? Positive? Head meet wall.
WWYD…diapers very stained and not mentioned in post or pics **ADDED MORE PICS (http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=754325)

WWYD…diapers very stained and not mentioned in post or pics **ADDED MORE PICS
ok so i got these diapers from the FSOT section. these are from 2 different mamas.

one of the orders was for 15 small “snugglebottoms” i did get them fairly cheap but look at the pic from the ad versus the pics of the diapers received and tell me what you think…….

ad pic

actual diaper pics from today after recieving them have not tried to wash them or anything so you can see the condition i got these in. a few diapers actually have poop that is fresh you can tell was not even attempted to be washed.

more pics from the other sides and close up of fresh pooh sorry i know they are nasty but it needs to be seen!

and this is a diaper from a different mama no where did it mention in the ad the staining i would be surprised with when opening it. again this was fairly cheap but still the stains IMO are worth mentioning! tell me what you think…..

and more pics of this diaper so you can see how bad it is…

i did leave both mamas positive feedback because im new here and figured if i left neutral or negative they would retaliate and leave me with negative only causing me bad feedback that being new on here i cant afford especially when i paid instantly and did everything by the book. i just dont know what to do with these? any suggestions???? im getting a bit discouraged when i get things like this ya know.

  1. CJ says:

    Holding packages? I guess they spend their days in the back room petting the fluffy diapers. That is why my mail is late.

  2. CJ says:

    oh, and “Ebil” post office? You’d better watch out or you’ll end up on the DS “errors” thread! πŸ™‚

  3. melmelly says:

    lol @ 2! I was reading it like how some people say devil, but as “debil”.

    However, there are those rogue postal carriers! We once had out carrier sign us up for the Columbia House DVD club, as well as a bunch of others in our apartment complex. Then we got a bill from CH. We contacted our PO about where these supposed DVD’s were at. The carrier fessed up to it and was fired. Oopsie!

  4. ~*~Momma~*~ says:

    lol@ 2 , i thought it was intentional, too

  5. Romama says:

    #1- the backroom holding and petting is truly “ebil”

    Only a “mailing label” was shipped? What about the fluff?
    I’m confused and actually pity the seller.

  6. Lurker says:

    I am so tired of people keep dissin’ the post office. They are just an excuse; an easy target and I’m done with it! I heart mail people. Would YOU want to walk in the rain/snow/sleet/heat all day?

  7. Rain Cloud says:

    Sounds like the buyer needs to file with PP as the lady in question is certainly a scammer. I’ve had the exact same scenario happen to me!

  8. Sharpie says:

    Liar and scammer, plan and simple!

  9. StacEy says:

    9: poof! gone! fill us in πŸ˜‰ Also, I think it is laughable that people actually believe that a postal carrier would target them and “hold” their packages.

  10. Nic says:

    #10, it’s still showing up for me – it’s the planned parenthood / crisis pregnancy center one

  11. screenname says:

    It was called something like “Planned Parenthood vs Crisis Pregnancy Centers” and something about their responsibility to young girls regarding unplanned pregnancy. I’m sure you can fill in the blanks from there.

  12. Nic says:

    it’s in sensitive subjects – if you’re not a member of the subforum, you can’t see it

  13. StacEy says:

    ah, I guess I’m not a member.

  14. CJ says:

    #10…I agree that it’s a little self-centred to think that a postal carrier would intentionally target her packages. I would hope that they are busier than that at work.

    Funny little story though….
    This week I received an envelope, torn in half and empty. The stamps weren’t negotiated at the post office and it was in one of those window envelopes from the USPS saying “sorry, your item was received empty…blah blah blah” It took me a while to figure out who it was from. Turns out it was from a DS mama who had sent me a sample of Simply Clean two months ago! Between her mailbox and the post office, someone decided to tear open the envelope and steal the little baggy of powder. We had a good laugh over someone snorting simply clean or trying to sell it on the street.

  15. PNPBaby says:

    LOL, I have a psycho postal lady! She totally hates me (likely because I bring in a large amount of packages at a time) and will re-weigh everything I’ve preprinted labels for and notify me of any ounces I’m over. She also makes me tell her for each and every package that there is nothing “liquid, fragile, hazardous or whatever in it” (like she has to say the WHOLE sentence for each package and I can’t answer until she’s done w/the sentence or else she restarts, lol) and then goes on to tell me what the other rates would be had I shipped an item Priority or Express rather than FC. And these are prepaid packages… so I’ve already weighed them, compared rates, and checked the box saying there is nothing dangerous in them.

    God forbid I actually need to ship something through her Internationally. Holy crap, I’ve had to repackage just about everytime – like the polymailer?!?!?! She also went freaking postal (hehe) on me about the FRE not being for anything but paper and got really pissed when I asked for the rules in writing, lol. I went back through the line and was helped by another clerk who was cool w/the FRE.

    Anymore, I let others in line go ahead of me if she’s the next available clerk and wait for one of the other normal clerks.

    So psycho postal workers do exist, lol. Now, would they hold packages??? Who knows, lol…. I don’t even want to know what the clerk here does when no one is looking! Crazy.

  16. thewhiteninja says:

    RE: the CPC v. PP thread-

    I find it “funny” that CalenandEllasmom is posting about how she as an RN she “educates” patients. She is the one that left her infant in a bath tub to go downstairs to take her dog out and the baby almost drowned. Then she was surprised CPS found her negligent. ::barf:: This all went down on MDC.

  17. Booyah says:

    Is the OP really that clueless?? “OMG it’s the PO’s fault!”

  18. alison says:

    anyone seen the stained/poopy FSOT dipe thread yet?

    looks like a buyer i need of a little truth in advertising…

  19. lisa says:

    #17 that is fucking disgusting. i hope that mama is ashamed of herself. Ewwwww. One of them has fresh poo!!!!

  20. lisa says:

    ooppss i meant 19 sorry

  21. kitty1163 says:

    No. 19:

    it’s these two mamas who sold her that shit. they should be ASHAMED. it’s beyond disgusting.

  22. lisa says:

    *makes mental not not to buy or trade from them*

  23. alison says:

    Ha – I’d just figured out who the mamas were, but I see kitty beat me to it.

    Man. Those are the nastiest dipes I have ever, EVER seen.

  24. lisa says:

    greengracepainteddeep is checking out the thread now hehe

  25. kitty1163 says:

    I never call people out but this is outfuckingrageous. I’ve gotten screwed by overpaying a few times but that was my fault for not asking questions.

    Fresh poop on diapers: I’m in a rage for that buyer.

    I think I need to go meditate or take a pill or something.

  26. lisa says:

    Yeah i understaned things being stianed with poo, that happens, but to send shit in the post is disgusitng. Is there not a law for that lol

  27. alison says:

    Ommmmmm, Kitty.

    Seriously. That was some nasty shit…

  28. Molly says:

    In regard to #17.

    I am Calenandellasmomma. I’ll out myself. If you want to drag up my past that is just fine. I’ll tell anyone who wants to hear it that I made a huge mistake.

    I’ve owned up to that from day one. I had both of my children in the bath. I made the mistake of walking out of the bathroom for less to let the dog out. I have never denied even once that I made a HUGE HUGE HUGE mistake. One I will never forgive myself for.

    Ive talked to hundreds of other moms who also walk out of the bathroom quite regularly to get towels, answer the phone, etc. I beg them not to make that mistake again. It takes barely any time at all for a child to drown in less than an inch of water. Our pediatrician said it can take as little as 10 seconds.

    I had to do CPR on my daughter. My daughter lived and she is bright and smart and happy with no ill effects. I thank God everyday that she is still here with me.

    If you want to bash me and rip me to shreds for my horrible mistake then I can’t stop you. But understand that I know what a horrible mistake it was. If you think I will ever forgive myself for that then you are sorely mistaken.

    Just because I made a horrible mistake does not mean that I cannot educate my patients and their families about medication etc.

    I could be quiet and hide from my mistake. I could keep it a secret. Believe me I wish I could go back in time and take that whole day back. I tell other parents so that they dont make the same mistake I did.

  29. JustPeachy says:

    Way to own up to it :). Im sure we all have skeletons in our mommy closets.

  30. Molly says:

    Peach I would rather own up to it than some other parent go through what we did.

    CPS found me guilty of negligent supervision. This was well over a year ago. We got a letter from them saying we found negligent supervision happened, we are taking no further action.

    Was I surprised? Yes, simply because we had been told by everyone involved that the case was going to be listed as unfounded. Was I heartbroken, absolutely!

    We appealed and the status was changed to unfounded.

  31. lisa says:

    #29. I was standing at the top of a flight of stairs(outside) with my 9 month old in her buggy. I turned around for one second, when i turned back my daughter was at the bottom, having smacked the front of her head off the ground. I had nightmares about that day for years afterwards. What the hell was i thinking. Why did i let go of the buggy? Took me years to get over that guilt.
    I understand how you feel.

  32. theinvisible says:

    Oh believe me, if anyone thinks they will never make a mistake with their children, they haven’t been a mom very long. Bashing a mom for a mistake like that WILL come back to bite you in the ass. It may not be something that will have such horrible consequences but there will be a time in your life when you find that you could kick yourself for the choice you made. Not nice.

  33. werd says:

    hey, at least you own it and aren’t trying to come off as some innocent mama. I accidentally dropped Carly when she was like 6 months old and was convinced she was going to be messed up. She’s fine. Being a mom isn’t easy and we all make mistakes. It’s not like you are Andrea Yates.

  34. theinvisible says:

    Oh, and the poopy diapers…..that is just plain trashy. The stained one…ehh, just taking advantage of someone too new to ask questions. The ones with straight up fresh shit? That mama should be BANNED from FSOT. That is nasty.

  35. CJ says:

    I can’t count how many times I was holding Nick, walked into another room and smacked his head on the door frame. I felt like crap each time, but I’m a clutzy human and make mistakes. We don’t do these things intentionally. We feel remorse after the fact and hopefully learn from the mistakes. Parenting is the hardest job in the world and there is no training session or manual to guide us along. We’re all just doing the best that we can do and we have to expect mistakes to come with that. Some happen to have a more severe ending than others, but they are still just mistakes. It doesn’t make the parent a bad person.

  36. CJ says:

    Oh, and I’m feeling a little sorry for myself right now. I just had to deal with the nastiest poopy diaper. I didn’t realize that I could skip the diaper sprayer and just snap it closed and list it on FSOT. That would have been so much easier. Next time I guess. I suppose this is one of those mistakes that I need to learn from. Note to self: Don’t clean poop off of diapers, just sell them instead. Much easier.

  37. thewhiteninja says:

    Wow I’m surprised they changed the decision to unfounded.

  38. jakesmom says:

    The poopy dipes is just nasty how in the hell does someone do that to someone else! yukey!!!!

  39. screenname says:

    What did this mama ever do to deserve to get a package of poo in the mail? And pay for it no less.

    Molly, it is really brave of you to not only own your mistake but to announce it to the internet world. I’m glad that your daughter is OK and I hope that other mamas learn from it.

  40. Booyah says:

    #19 Oh. Mah. Gawd. There are literally fresh skid marks in those dipes! Maybe she thought since her kid didn’t full-on crap in them, they were clean? But why did she take the diaper off then? I wonder if they got peed in and the seller just let them dry out before mailing them.

    There’s a new thing to ask before buying dipes: does this have fresh crap in it that you have not washed out yet. Apparently just asking if it has horrendous stains is not enough anymore.

  41. JustPeachy says:

    #38 Something had to be up for them to do it. I hate CPS because it seems they spend all their time harassing the parents who are good parents but make one mistake while letting the stupid ass parents continue screwing up their kids.

  42. alison says:

    LOL #41

    And the list of questions just grows. Damn, I am glad I am over tinkering with the stash.

  43. thewhiteninja says:

    #38- I’m not trying to be overly bitchy but I think leaving a 6 month old unattended in a bath with water in it to let a dog out would definitely be considered neglect- whether harm was intended or not (obviously we know it wasn’t). Do you also think the people that leave their kids in a hot car (and end up dying) to go shopping in Wal-Mart are also just making a simple parenting mistake?

    Accidently dropping a baby or hitting them by accident or the like is not even on the same level as this.

    I am glad that she owns up to it now πŸ™‚

  44. theinvisible says:

    The seller who sold the absolutely shitty diapers is greengracepainteddeep, just to clarify. That is definitely on another level of disgusting. The seller of the stained fitted not so much. It was $4 so not exactly unexpected but should have been disclosed.

  45. Molly says:

    White ninja she was 9 months old at the time. She was also already walking. I was an absolute idiot to walk out of the room to let the dog out of the door. I have never denied that. I just don’t want the facts of the story to be skewed here.

    Try living in my shoes for a day and having to remember what your child looked like blue and not breathing because you walked out of the room.

    Trust me, you don’t need to punish me more. I do that enough myself. Thanks.

  46. adensmama says:

    I read online once that it only takes seconds for a child to drown, so I have never left them alone. But my fiancee the other day left our FIVE MONTH OLD in the tub upstairs by himself because I was freaking out that I couldn’t find my keys. I was absolutely horrified and I completely bitched him out of course, so he will never do that again. People just don’t realize how easily it could be YOU in that situation so they are quick to judge.
    And I am not up to date on CPR by any means, the last time I took it was in high school, so thank God you knew what to do!

  47. adensmama says:

    Oh, and he was in an infant bath tub not the big one, but still! Water is water!

  48. magpiedpiper says:

    I’d be interested to hear greengracepainteddeep’s side of it. I mean, that is spectacularly nasty, but the fresh poop almost seems too nasty to be real.

  49. magpiedpiper says:

    Oh, she’s viewing the FSOT thread right now. Wonder what she’ll do/say…

  50. adensmama says:

    Hmmm…right now I’m wondering if that whole FSOT/poop thing is real or not. The mama who bought the diapers just joined in April and doesn’t have that many posts/feedback. Not that it couldn’t possibly be real…but I guess I’m just so appalled that I don’t even want to think someone would actually send diapers with POOP on them in the mail!

    Hopefully the seller comes out of the woodwork and posts her side of the story, if there is one.

  51. hrm's mom says:

    those diapers look really nasty, I would totally be upset!

    I turned my back for a minute, with my hand on my DD and she fell of the changing table. My DH was so pissed at me, until he found out I did not totally walk away. She was just super squirmy she hit the closet doors and got a huge bump on her head. I would never leave her alone in the tub but I was also one of the moms who did not understand how someone could let their child fall of the changing table.

    Also on topic I had a package over nighted to me in March of 2001 and did not receive it until sept of 2001. I needed it for our wedding some paper work for the church and when I finally got it it had no reason as to why it took so darn long. I went the post office to inquire and got a huge run around about how my dad need to find out what the problem was ect ect.

  52. theinvisible says:

    Link her!

  53. hrm's mom says:

    opps that package thing was in the other thread, I have a hard time keeping up, sorry!

  54. adensmama says:

    The buyer just posted in the thread that she is sending them back for a full refund, so I guess it’s real and it was the seller’s fault! Would still like to know how the heck that happened though, yuck.

  55. MatildasMum says:

    Some of those stains look like they are on the outside of the diapers? And the one that looks like fresh poop – how is the poop on the belly side of the diaper?? Ew.

  56. adensmama says:

    Huh…just saw a diaper I made on spots for the first time, that was trippy!

    $54 I KNOW. I just have no idea how that could happen? Does this chick just have poop all over her house? I mean WTF?
    The chunk was what got me.

  57. Messy says:

    My youngest son had an accident 14 months ago that very well could have taken his life or left him with serious reprocussions forever. It is something none of us will ever forget and we will never forgive ourselves for. It is sometimes hard for me to talk about and today he got his first “road rash” from falling on asphault at Great-Granny’s house playing with the other kids, so I am a little traumatized from the memories that came flying back. So, I would/will discuss it another time 😦 Sometimes being a parents sucks. God should have made parents superhuman while they are raising their children so these things don’t happen.

  58. JustPeachy says:

    I know you arent trying to be overly bitchy but remember that we are all humans and to err is human. It was a mistake and admittedly a really really bad mistake but a mistake nonetheless.

  59. Messy says:

    THOSE DIAPERS ARE NASTY! GROSS!!! But she left positive feedback??? THAT IS FUCKING CRAZY! It is why people keep getting screwed. Scammers get positive feedback from newbies that like being screwed sans lube. Nice.

  60. Messy says:

    #57 Peach are you talking to me??? I was trying to say “I have BTDT and understand” not be bitchy 😦

  61. adensmama says:

    OMG I didn’t know she left positive FB!!!! At least LOOK at your freaking mail before you hop online and leave fb holy crap!

  62. Messy says:

    Ok, looking at feedback she has left for others… Either she said the diapers were perfect or they smelled great. Gosh, which ones could it be? I bet those smell just spectacular :gag:

  63. Messy says:

    If it was greengracepainteddeep, she said they were “exactly as described.” Buyers remorse??? WTF? If it just said “thanks” or some such, I would not think there was more BS than baby shit involved in this story…

  64. adensmama says:

    Mmmm, would go perfectly with my “eau de urine” wool wash!

    I actually did receive a pair of longies once that REEKED of piss. Like, so bad that I gagged when I opened the polymailer 😦

  65. JustPeachy says:

    No was talking to whiteninja but I got lazy LOL.

  66. magpiedpiper says:

    She said it was to avoid retaliatory feedback, which is what makes it odd since she was quite specific and just left it yesterday before even starting the fsot thread – she said –

    “exactly as described and very affordable thanks mama!”

  67. JustPeachy says:

    Well Im gonna give her the benefit of the doubt. When I was a newbie I didnt want to make waves so I took a lot of shit (no pun intended) because I was nervous. However I do think that there are random assholes on DS that seek out newbies to take advantage of them which pisses me off to no end.

  68. adensmama says:

    She probably thought if she left neg. fb she would get banned. And heck…it’s probably not far off from the truth!

  69. Messy says:

    Ok, I can see leaving the pos. I get that… Sorta… But to say “exactly as described”??? She doesn’t say that every time. It is a specific feedback to that transaction.

  70. Aj says:

    I don’t mean to come off too snarky…but do you believe this lady? http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=754843
    Her son’s are old enough that they should know better than to take food from strangers, especially if they are that highly allergic. My cousin is severly allergic to dairy, and she knew by 3 years old to ask before she ate.

    IDK, it kinda seems like she’s fishing for sympathy because of the missing package and the pp claim. Maybe I’m just a bitch though…

  71. alison says:

    I know it, Messy. I mean, if you’re a newbie, and scared of retaliatory feedback (which she said was her thinking) then just say something neutral like, oh, I don’t know, “good price and shipped fast”, or even just “good price, thanks”.

  72. Megan says:

    69- She’s posting that on DS, and yet she’s been posting on CDN multiple times today, and never mentioned it. Weird?

  73. adensmama says:

    Yeah it kinda seems weird to me that she’s got all these kids going into anaphalactic shock and then at the end of the post “oh and on top of all THAT I have a paypal claim against me!”

  74. Messy says:

    #71 who is she on CDN and has anyone asked her (or called her out as the case could be) on there?

  75. Megan says:

    Same SN- piccolo41099

  76. thewhiteninja says:

    dude those diapers are farkin’ gross and now I have to see them on here too?! LOL πŸ˜‰ When I saw the original post I almost barfed b/c I was eating.

    I check and re-check my things a meeelion times before I send out and even then I’m paranoid.

  77. my4monkeys says:

    Can PP take money out of your checking account? I thought they could only take what you had in your PP account?

  78. amessymama says:

    I call BS on the crappy dipes. I mean they do look like they have crap on them. But I don’t know….it doesn’t make sense to me. Glowing feedback!?

    I also call BS on the anaphalactic (?) shock scenario.

    Has someone contacted the seller to bring her over here? If not, how do you do that? Just PM them and say “pssst, I know a place where you can share your side of the story. E-mail me.”

  79. amessymama says:

    I think before she posted that thread, she only had 10 posts. Now she has 153 because she keeps responding to everyone individually.

    It’s like she’s watching and waiting for the responses. I just find that weird. It’s one thing to check back now and then but c’mon!!

    She’s making such a huge deal about it now but 2 nights ago she was fine enough with it to leave the great feedback. Just odd.

  80. JustPeachy says:

    Anaphylactic πŸ˜‰

  81. screenname says:

    If you PM on DS about this blog, then you may get a strike. They do read PMs over there. Check her profile to see if she has an email address attached to it. Then you can email her the link.

  82. insomiac says:

    man I hope the poopy diapers is a BS story because if I got that crap (pun intended) in the mail I would freakin’ kill someone.

    Molly 😦 I am sick reading your story but can’t bash on you. I know the guilt must be awful. I am glad you use your experience to educate others, at least some good can come from it and maybe you have helped save another baby & mama!

    hmmmm. I was linked to a wonky listing on spots today but am a little not sure whether to post it.
    I will preface by saying, I have zero issues with the maker of this item AT ALL. But maaaaan, this crotch seam is really really off kilter: http://hyenacart.com/prod_details_pp.php?id=60026&vid=200001

    and I had to wonder if the seller photoed at that angle on purpose to show it.

  83. insomiac says:

    #79 WOWZERS.

    and was that shop all crazy on anyones elses monitor? I had to scroll sideways to see it all.

  84. Messy says:

    #71 Again… I ❀ the way mamas here go full on and call BS when they see it and know it… The chick with all the allergic kids at the park with strangers feeding them who knows what, is really going to have to think about her answers to Knutsonfam and I bet it will take longer than her answer to everyone offering her money while her PP is tied up!

  85. lindsay says:

    I never post here, but lurk a lot and it was crazy to see you post that. It was my listing. They were customs. I thought they looked funny when they arrived…but didn’t know if that was how they were supposed to look. No, I didn’t photograph them that way on purpose.

  86. thenewbie says:

    hi ladies, i have decided that i should fill everyone in on what has happened with the poopy diapers. i am the buyer and yes i realize i left feedback that was definitely incorrect and i also know that my reasoning for doing so was because of my fears of getting negative fb in response as well as i didnt truly see how bad those diapers were until i was going to attempt to wash them today. i am 29 weeks pregnant and have been having contractions so i have basically been put on bedrest and have also been prescribed several medicines. so yes i did act too quickly in sending the feedback and have contacted a moderator to get it removed. i have also contacted the mamas who sold them to me. yes this is real and no i did not do this to the diapers that is just unthinkable to me. also for those of you who think i am hovering the post that is incorrect i always subscribe to all of my posts and get an instant email notifying me of replies. so im sorry if you think that im doing this for any reason other than trying to get a resolution you are wrong. here is the response i have received from the other mamas so you know it is acurate and they are being sent back…..

    my email to the 1st mama
    hey i know i did leave positive feedback about these yesterday but with much thought i felt i should email you. i am very dissatisfied with the condition these diapers came to me in. yes they were cheap however the stains and actual fresh poop were not mentioned nor pictured in the post. these diapers are disgusting and i have posted a thread in the feedback/transaction forum asking what others would do and they told me i should ask for a refund and contact the mod because negative feedback was warranted. but i would really like to try and resolve this before i go to that length. i have taken pics of the diapers exactly the way i got them (couldnt have used them im still pregnant) as well as copied an actual picture in your post as proof of these being misrepresented. please let me know how you plan to resolve this here is a link to my post so you can see what others think as well.

    wow! first of all i am so so soooo terribly sorry. i have no idea how that happened. a girlfriend of mine gave me all the SB’s sizes and i never even used that size. she washed them before giving them to me and i washed them before posting. in NO WAY was i trying to hide it or not disclose the “fresh poo”. i sincerely did not know about it. i looked over all of them when taking the pictures. i hope you can forgive me. i would be just as hurt and upset if the situation was reversed.

    unfortunately, i did mention to you that they were stained in the beginning of our emailing which i enclosed the conversation below. i am extremely hurt that you not only brought this to the community before coming to me but you also made it seem like i did not share the staining with you. now other mamas think i tried to hid this by how i placed them in the picture. that was not the case. i just wish you would have come to me in the first place because i want restore this situation above and beyond.

    here is what i can do for you, besides offering a MILLION apologies

    i will not only refund you the money, but send you $15 dollars as my way of restoring this situation and pay for all of the diapers arrival back to me. i hope this heals any anger or distrust. i am very sorry that this happened.

    my reply
    hey i just wanted to know how/when you plan to do the return/refund? i have packaged up the diapers and am ready to ship them back but need the refund to pay for the shipping. im broke right now because rent is due this week and all the paypal i had has been spent. please let me know when you plan to send it so that i can get these sent back to you

    her 2nd reply
    hi liana!

    again, i am sorry the diapers did not meet your expectations. however, i can assure you there was no fresh poo on any of the diapers i sent you! i am more than happy to resolve any problems you have. i wish you would have come to me first before posting all over the forum. i will be glad to give you a full refund.

    i have already sent you $8.40 to pay for the return shipping and the Delivery Confirmation. please be sure to pack the correct diapers. i sent you 15 yellow stitching snugglebottom diapers. also include the package of citrus circles.

    after i receive all the correct items with 7 business days in the same condition i sent them to you, you will receive a full refund.

    diaperswappers policy is full refunds are not given in a transaction until the product is back in the hand of the seller. i will also need the Delivery Confirmation number.

    thank you!

    the 2nd mamas most recent reply
    Mama, I need to ask you to kindly remove the pic from my original FSOT post. It has my name on it and I believe that is considering slamming or slander. I know DS does not allow this, and I am not sure they allow unauthorized copying of pics from another posts thread. If you want to leave the pics you posted of the diaper, fine, so be it. Thank you.

    THE PIC DOESNT HAVE YOUR NAME ON IT I HAVE IT SAVED TO MY PHOTOBUCKET SO I WOULDNT EVEN TRACE BACK TO YOUR POST AND IT IS DEFINITELY NOT SLANDER SEEING AS THOUGH THIS IS THE EXACT PICTURE YOU POSTED AND IS THE EXACT PICTURE OF THE DIAPER AS I RECEIVED IT! if you need the pic cut to only show the diaper in question fine by me. but in all essence you should really tell the mamas you plan to sell to about any and all stains so they can determine if it worth it to buy!

    I remember your story from MDC and my heart goes out to you! Thank goodness your daughter is okay. Any one of us could screw up- I can think of many times where I was just really really lucky. Just remember for every one moron that judges you, there’s many more who applaud your courage and your honesty. What a cheap shot to bring that shit here! “Oh, she left her baby in the bath for a sec, was instantly remorseful and honest about it, how dare she, years later, educate her patients about medication.” It really sounds like you have a stalker with an ax to grind.

  88. diudiaole says:

    I wouldn’t necessarily say “exactly as described” is glowing feedback since I didn’t read the original FSOT post… I’m thinking they were likely described as “well used”…. lol

  89. riffrafflittleman says:

    71 she just posted on CDN not that long ago. Something seems wonky about the whole thing….and I hate the blame the dh game

  90. thenewbie says:

    direct quote from the pm “snugglebottoms: $1.75 each (they are used and slightly stained)” which is why i stated exactly as described until i really got a better look at them today and realized how bad they were. like i stated they were cheap but at the same time were not what i expected.and the fresh poop was really what sent it over the top.

  91. thenewbie says:

    anyhow good night ladies i just wanted to clarify both sides of the story the best i could and let everyone know that a resolution is hopefully going to take place very soon and i will know in the future (if i even buy anymore diapers) that i need to ask questions first and then act instead of act and then ask. it was a mistake on my part to leave positive feedback prior to contacting her with my concerns about the diapers. and a mistake on her part to send and sell those diapers. we live and learn and hopefully we will all learn from this experience.

  92. Messy says:

    IS IT JUST ME??? The first thing I thought about #71 is HOW THE HELL DID SHE KNOW WHAT WAS IN THOSE COOKIES??? The more I think about it, the more freaked out it makes me. Either it is not true at all; has a smidge of truth as if she perhaps said the lady could give them cookies not realizing the peanut was in it; or it is a LIE. No way in hell would a woman walk away with four kids in breathing distress!!! It could have been any poison. It could have been a sicko poisoning kids. She would have been there. Those cookies would have gone with the ambulance and police. No way in hell would I have let a possible serial killer walk away after feeding my kids an unknown cookie!!! GAH!!!

  93. magpiedpiper says:

    I am not following why piccolo4109 wasn’t able to ship her package on time? She said that her dh “somehow” mailed all the packages she gave him but this one. Weird, but plausible I guess if one got stuck in the car or something. But then she says that it’s been crazy so then she still didn’t get them shipped, and is mad that the buyer opened a dispute even though she added in a couple extra dipes? How is it the buyer’s fault when she is the one not mailing out the package?!

    Her kids supposedly being dumb and accepting cookies with peanuts, which they are allergic to, from a stranger (I call BS on that – four kids severely allergic and they accept cookies from strangers??) doesn’t excuse the rest of the time she took on the package. And if her kids are allergic to, as she said in another thread –

    My kids are allergic to:
    sesame seeds
    milk (all dairy)

    WHY are they accepting food from strangers?!!! I have a severe food allergy and you bet I always asked about and inspected my food closely, even as a kid. I can see maybe one kid not thinking and eating it, but FOUR of them?

  94. mmspirit7 says:

    umm am I the only one that teaches my kids not to take anything from someone they don’t know. i call bs

  95. Messy says:

    My kids have no food allergies and none of them would take food from a stranger at all. Period.

  96. magpiedpiper says:

    Messy, I hadn’t thought of it prior to you mentioning the poison/whatever that could have been in there, but that’s a great point. There are way too many freaks out there. Ugh

    I have to agree. I tool a lot of shit (not literal shit– that would have pushed me overboard) when I was new simply because I didn’t want to rock the boat. Hell– I left positive feedback for my craptastic longies from Connorsmama… Why? Because everyone seemed to be so fond of her.

    I was:
    a) afraid that I would be blacklisted or something equally dramatic for daring to call a WAHM on her shitty work.

    b) confused and maybe a little concerned that I had expected too much out of the situation. (I now realize that WAHM products are not all thrown together like some C-average home economics project.)

    It doesn’t make it right… but it is understandable.

    Anybody else find this a bit odd:

    She also started a separate thread about it.

  104. Monkey says:

    Did anyone notice that the seller in the shitty diaper debacle says this in the email, “i sent you 15 yellow stitching snugglebottom diapers. also include the package of citrus circles.” but some of the dipes appear to have blue stitching?

    The poop seems to be on the yellow stitching dipes, but some of the dipes look like they have blue stitching.

  105. Monkey says:

    Hmm, now that I look at it again maybe the edges are yellow and the inner stitching blue. Somebody with better eyes tell me what you think.

  106. lisa says:

    Having read the sellers side of the story I think the buyer has wiped her own fresh poop on them becuase she has had buyers remorse and doesn’t like them.

  107. lisa says:

    Just a question, on some of those dipes the poo is on the outside, how does that happen?

  108. Monkey says:

    Where did you read the sellers side? I only saw the buyers…

  109. thenewbie says:

    “Having read the sellers side of the story I think the buyer has wiped her own fresh poop on them becuase she has had buyers remorse and doesn’t like them.”

    really?! have you fell of your rocker lady! i would never ever do such a thing and no i didnt have buyers remorse!! i have paid quite a bit more for other diapers and had no problems. and was actually going to try to wash them and see if i could get them clean when i looked at them the 2nd time and realized how bad they were. yes i did feel it necessary to ask what to do and go from there. yes i think it looks like somehow the poop got wiped onto them i think maybe she did a diaper change prior to packaging them up and somehow got some on her somewhere and it fell into or wiped across the diapers. what gets me is because im new you people would actually point fingers at me the victim and say she is the one that did it, shes the one to blame….that would take a very sick individual not only to do such a thing but to even have the thought cross their mind. its $30 people! no not a huge amount but at the same time $30 i could use on diapers that are exactly as described! and Bloggitybloggity thank you at least someone here understands my reasoning with the feedback and why after leaving it i really felt i should do something about it so that other mothers dont get the same diapers since she DOES STILL HAVE THEM LISTED FSOT!! but it seems to me that some of you think i should have just left it alone and not tried to do anything about my mistake by leaving the feedback and asking what to do. therefore leaving this to happen to several other mothers since she has these in several sizes. i feel like me trying to correct a problem and get advice is somehow not good enough for some of you? so tell me who on here has never made a mistake similar (or any honest mistake for that matter) and once you really thought about it and looked over it again you really felt that you should stand up and do what is right and do what you could to protect other mothers? or is it really a dog eat dog world and excuse my language “fuck the rest” its only about me who cares if other mothers get such a package? i am not trying to hide any truths or falsify any information and have not said anything about these diapers that was invalid. i wouldnt have posted both sides of the story if i was lying about anything. so think about that before you make another comment about me supposedly having buyers remorse and actually doing something so gross just to get back $30!

    oh and for the stitching questions yes the one side is yellow and the opposite side is blue you can see it in the yellow threads as well. i have not bought any other similar diapers so there is no way they could have been confused with any other diapers. there is staining on both sides of some of the diapers as well i dont know how unless either they were worn on both sides which is possible because they are basically made from prefolds or they were put together open and dirty into a wet bag where they touched one another causing the staining to get on both sides.

  110. thewhiteninja says:

    #89- Stalker? LMAO. Not hardly. Its not hard to connect Molly’s username to the whole debacle, especially with how much she posted about it on MDC. I didn’t even know she posted on DS until I saw that post.

    ::off to grind my ax::

  111. Molly says:

    Seriously ninja, that was a very hard time in my life. I had well over 1000 posts on MDC before all of that happened. One of my IRL friends posted to MDC asking for prayers when we were at the hospital and that was how it ended up on there. I posted there for support afterwards and well I ended up leaving MDC. I post very rarely at all on the internet anymore. I felt the need to respond to you here because I didn’t want this whole story to blow up again! It has been nearly 2 years!!! I am going to kindly ask you to back the fuck off. Leave me alone and I will dissappear back into lurkdom. Please.

  112. theinvisible says:

    Damn, that’ll teach me to go to bed early on a slow drama night.

    It just so happens that the last post I read on CDN before hopping over here was the anaphylaxis cookie story. And oh, by the way, I also had a dispute on PP? Whatever. BS excuse. No one gives kids cookies in the park anymore anyway. Even old ladies know they’ll get yelled at. It sounds soooo contrived.

    And Molly, most parents know that shit happens. We make mistakes and most of the time are just plain lucky. You weren’t but you certainly don’t deserve to be heckled about it.

  113. theinvisible says:

    Didn’t you know that if you can sew sweater sleeves together you can be a WAHM? Damn, people. She gotz skillz.

  114. Thud says:

    OK~ that amberbamber fluff is awful! No wonder she gets in there defending all the crappy WAHMS on DS!

  115. thewhiteninja says:

    113- I’ve dropped it. I said in my second post I was glad you own up to it now and I think it is good that you are education others.

    I think it is funny other people keep bringing it back up, but at the same time saying I am heckling you. LOL.

  116. Molly says:

    I owned up to it from day one. Your the one that tried to drag that whole debacle here. I don’t appreciate it and it wasn’t kind. Seriously give me a freaking break here. It’s taken some major counseling for me to get to a point of dealing with what I let happen. I hope you’ve really let it drop. It’s been since aug of 2007 and my babies are smart and happy and beautiful. I’m not the monster you’re trying to make me out to be.

  117. thewhiteninja says:

    OK well like I have said I. Have. Dropped. It. But don’t keep attention-whoring and then blaming it all on mean old me.

  118. magpiedpiper says:

    Thenewbie – what about the seller’s claim that she HAD disclosed the staining to you prior to selling the dipes? Is that in fact true?

  119. theinvisible says:

    I was talking about before. I feel bad for her. Taking an opportunity to say that is not bringing it back up. The first time you posted everybody just kind of ignored it…..if there is such a thing as uncomfortable silence on the net, that was it. Then you continued. It is mean spirited and something like that is not drama, its tragic. It was an accident, she lives with it every day and it’s really wierd that you seem to hold such a grudge about it considering it really has nothing to do with you. It’s nice that you are so perfect and will never do something stupid with your kids or allow your attention from them to be diverted. Congratulations. Sorry no one else isjumping on the “Bash Molly Bandwagon” but most people know better.

  120. thewhiteninja says:

    121- Apparently you missed to memo that I am dropping it. But continue beating a dead horse if you wish πŸ˜€

  121. theinvisible says:

    Then actually drop it. As the aggressor, that means not responding every time someone tells her they are sorry you jumped her ass for it.

  122. thenewbie says:

    magpiedpiper she sent in a pm “they are used and slightly stained” i thought i posted that earlier please see post #92 for a direct quote and in my OP #88 you can see she stated she didnt realize how bad they were either.

  123. Sharpie says:

    I don’t know this whole thing seems pretty redic to me. Questions for ya newbie, did the mama’s happen to leave you feedback before you started the thread and then contacted them? Also since you seem to have no issues contacting them after the thread started why did you not contact them before leaving feedback? (Also I don’t really understand why in your response to that 2nd mama you were rude if you are concerned about rocking the boat)

    It just seems to me that for someone who doesn’t want any issues because she’s new you went about the most dramariffic way of doing things. (Not saying that people who get screwed don’t deserve a resolution or help from other mamas about their situation)

  124. thewhiteninja says:

  125. magpiedpiper says:

    I didn’t get the impression that she didn’t know how bad they were, but that she was also appalled about the fresh poop and wanted to make amends in case that actually did come from her home somehow. She stated that she looked them all over, and also DID disclose the staining to you.

    However, in your FSOT thread you make it seem as though the stains were not disclosed? She told you they were stained, and you were fine with that. If you wanted to know the extent of the staining for each dipe, you could have asked for clearer pictures, more details, etc. The fresh poop is iffy, because honestly it could have come from either of you. I know you already got offended at someone else for mentioning this, but the truth is whether you are a newbie or not, there’s no way for anyone to know whether those diapers truly arrived with fresh poo. The staining, yes, because you are still pregnant and the seller mentioned the stains. But anyone can wipe poop on a diaper to make sure they get a refund, you know?

    I’m not accusing you of this outright, I’m just presenting this so you can see why people are bringing it up as an option.

    So can you see how objectively –

    1) Seller discloses stains.
    2) Buyer is fine with disclosure of stains, pays.
    3) Buyer receives diapers and leaves positive feedback stating diapers are “just as described”
    4) Buyer starts thread next day about diapers being not only more stained than she thought, but alludes to the stains not even being disclosed.
    5) On top of stains, there are now fresh poop pictures! Everyone is disgusted and agrees that of course buyer should be refunded.

    The question is: Would they have agreed if buyer had mentioned that the staining was disclosed but buyer did not ask for more specific pics or the extent of the staining? Or if the questionable fresh poop was there?

    Can you see how that looks like it has the potential to be buyer’s remorse?

  126. Messy says:

    Cookie issue: FOUR kids had a transaction with a stranger on a playground and the parent did not see a single kid being handed a cookie. Eight year old kid does not know how to watch for hidden trigger allergens? Ummm, it is either total BS or that mama needs to quit daycare and hire someone to watch HER kids. ‘Nuff said.
    Shitty Fluff mail issue: I heard from the OP and think she is genuine. However, if I didn’t already like her, I would call BS because of the feedback already left. It was pretty specific feedback. Once the transaction is over, the rest is usually buyers remorse. Feedback kinda seals the end…
    Baby in the bathtub: :::hugs::: To both the mama involved and the ninja. Obviously thewhiteninja is still seriously scarred by this tragic event and might want to seek counseling herself πŸ™‚ Trust me, there have been things I have read on a message board that kept me awake at night and bothered me to the core, like 4 kids not being watched on a playground and ending up in the hospital due to someone feeding them something… Yeah, I am probably going to need therapy to get over the idea that this woman also watches other kids and says she is a great daycare provider.

  127. thenewbie says:

    magpiedpiper i do see what you are saying and did state she said slight staining but i figure slight staining as a small spot and there were several pics of the diapers on her post so i figured they werent really that bad of stains but i guess i was wrong. i have contacted her and apologized to her for turning to the thread prior to voicing my concerns to her. my thoughts when posting the thread was someone would tell me how to possibly get the stains out and be able to use the diapers but i didnt get that until i had already requested a return from her. yes i regret turning to the forum for advice and will not ever do so again. i dont have experience with washing these so i have no clue what to do in that regard. and as far as the fresh poop is concerned it happens i dont know how it happened but i really think she didnt see it fall in or something because she seemed very concerned about it. i have/had no desire to do something to damage or stain the diapers i received and really why would i have i thought i was getting a very good deal on alot of diapers and felt i was done with buying them and would have everything i needed for my baby. so why on earth would i then decide just for the fun of it i didnt like them afterall and id rather send them back and get my money back and be left with no cloth diapers for my newborn?!! that is not even close to reality i am very upset about this because i am now without newborn diapers for my child and am to the point that i no longer desire to even buy the diapers from there now in fears of a like situation happening and so now i will be forced to go against what i had hoped to do and use disposables on my newborn until he grows into the larger diaper that i have previously bought.

  128. diudiaole says:

    One of those poop pics looks like it had to have been from a buttcrack… but I suppose if you put some shit on a butter knife or something you could make it look like that *gag* and the other looks like finger swipes. What size are those diapers? cause that is not newborn poop.

    Seems like an awful lot of drama over a lot of $30 diapers…. super cheap, functional diapers… I would have thrown them in the washer with bleach and washed ’em at least three times and maybe sent an e-mail about the poo…

  129. diudiaole says:

    #129 —

    You can Take your $30 +$15 bonus and purchase new dipes from sites like little-lions . com — like their seconds prefolds are really cheap and are nice. Or you can go to Walmart and get yourself some gerber prefolds or flats… not the best, but they will work under plastic pants and save you money.

  130. StacEy says:

    “dropping it” and offering a sincere apology are two totally separate things, so allow me to continue beating this horse….I find it completely disgusting that you even tried to suggest that she shouldn’t have the nerve to educate anybody on anything since she made a mistake. I find it disgusting that you tried to run here and bash this woman. Of course you’re dropping it, you sound like an asshole by continuing to even discuss it.

  131. StacEy says:

    cookie issue: she was watching 10…TEN…10! kids at the park by herself?!? I can’t imagine. If your severely food allergic children are incapable of making food choices in public, stay home or provide closer supervision.

  132. thewhiteninja says:

    132- well I never said I was sorry so what is your point? I own what I said. And?

  133. thewhiteninja says:

    Can we quit “bashing” the cookie mom? I’m sure it was a simple mistake. {{{{~~~~~~HUGZ~~~~~~~~}}}}}

  134. Messy says:

    #135 You have some serious issues yourself don’t ya? How ’bout you get cookie mama to baby sit for your kids. I am sure she and the strangers at the park will do a great job!!!
    ~~~People tell you to stop so you divert and dodge and show your back side. Now zip it up, put your stupid back in its hiding hole and stop looking like a pimple on an ants ass.
  135. thewhiteninja says:
    I’d get pissy too if I was a hypocrite.
  136. Messy says:
    #137 Oky doky then. You brought it here (two years old, traumatizing accident that the mama owned up to and is willing to discuss) so here you have the issues, obviously. What would you like to have happen to her??? She made a laps in judgement that I am sure she never ever repeated. So, for that, she should not be allowed to discuss birthcontrol with teenagers? Seriously. Do you not see how vindictively crazed this is sounding?
    Now, relax. Take a walk in the park and maybe some nice old lady will offer you a cookie πŸ˜€
  137. thenewbie says:
    diudiaole thanks for the advice on cheap diapers ill look into it
  138. theinvisible says:
    The whole cookie thing is a moot point because……it’s BS! It didn’t happen. It was a way to publicly excuse a PP dispute and a possible future thread on T&F. A mom who didn’t have kids with anaphylactic food allergies would NOT fail to notice an old lady talking to much less passing out food to her kids. Had she been more creative she could have said they found food or something. I guess she was in a big hurry to get that story out.
  139. thewhiteninja says:
    I know and this poor cookie mom probably won’t repeat her mistake again 😦 We should rally around her, right?
  140. Munklettes says:
    #141 – I’m curious – why all this empathy for piccolo and the cookie incident, and none for the tub incident? Both could have resulted on the death of a child, right?
  141. Messy says:
    #130 I just pointed out the BS on CDN. I am sure a dozen mamas will jump my ass now… Oh well. I don’t have to sugar coat it for her on CDN.
  142. theinvisible says:
    Yeah, ninja, you’re really looking a little off balance right now. Your first posts about the lady had that kind of desperate “right, guys, right?” tone to them but we gave you the courtesy of ignoring it altogether. You’d think one would get the hint and realize that the subject wasn’t going to get a whole lot of hell yeahs but you kept up the attack. Now when people are calling you on it you get all irrational and irate. Fuck off. You look really stupid.
  143. Messy says:
    #141 I totally agree! Lets rally around the chick who stands only 20 feet away from FOUR children being FED cookies by a stranger in a park knowing they have allergies.
    Now, to start, you go drop your kids off for her to watch. Make it easy and just have pick up at the ER.
    Give me a break and get some help! The cookie bitch is making up excuses for this LIE she told to get out of her PP dispute with some sympathy for not mailing diapers. The other mama had a real life traumatizing event that I can tell you first hand will never ever leave you the same. Ever.
  144. theinvisible says:
    Munklettes, I think she’s attempting sarcasm but one really never knows with crazy bitches.
    The whole stereotype of the “old lady at the park” is being taken at face value too. What old lady do you know that goes to the park alone with a purse full of cookies to hand out to all the little bad children at the playground? Really?
  145. diudiaole says:
    #145 LMAO “just pick them up at the ER”
  146. thewhiteninja says:
    Doesn’t PIccolo post on here?
    PS. I love being called irate consider I am so mellow sometimes I don’t think I have a pulse.
  147. diudiaole says:
    #146 — there are some really sick people out there including old ladies, but yeah, this story is ridiculous
  148. Messy says:
    #148 Geeze. You have got to seek some help if you can’t let the incident with the other mama from two years ago go. In the mean time, to make yourself seem less assholio-ish, if you want to support PiccollayerkidsupattheER, have the hell at it! But you are making yourself look seriously unbalanced without a mission.
  149. Crazy Mama says:
    In regards to the shitty diapers, I have some concerns.
    1. OP starts her thread with “OMG STAINS!!” If I had received a diaper with poo in it, you can bet that would be the first thing I mentioned. It seems to be thrown in there as an afterthought.
    “OMG look how stained they are! Oh yeah, there’s some crusty baby shit on them, but wow, the STAINS!”
    2. The poop seems to be in the FRONT of each diaper. When my kids pooped enough to just leave a skidmark, it was in the back. Ya know… where their BUTT is? Not the front of the diaper near the waist. Some of the poop does appear to be on the outside of the diaper, which could get there from stacking them, but it would have to be VERY fresh poop to transfer like that.
    3. The OP keeps asking WHY she would go through the lengths of smearing poop on a diaper just to get $30 back. She herself posted an email in which she admits that she can not ship the diapers back without a refund because she is “flat broke.” I’ve been in financial situations before, and $30 is a lot of money when you’re broke. $30 can decide if you have food or not over the next few days (if you shop frugally). Plus she seems in a hurry to get her refund ASAP, so that could be motive enough to label this as buyer’s remorse in my book.
    When I first came across this issue I felt bad for the buyer, but the more I read about it the more I side with the seller. The most incriminating details have come from the OP herself. Something smells, and it’s not crusty poop.
  150. Messy says:
    Also, #148, I called her out on it on CDN. Told her that I think it is to cover for not mailing diapers. Perhaps someone offered to give her kids some cookies at the park and she turned them down due to the allergies (totally perdictable) but then remembers on the way home that she did not mail the diapers AGAIN. So, she thinks about the cookies at the park and what could have happened if she was a total twatastic sitter that didn’t watch the kids at all and let strangers feed them, and thought this is what could have happened! I will say it did and there is an excuse any mama could understand. But she exaggerated her lies too much. FOUR kids, 20 feet away, 1 ambulance. Her numbers don’t add up.
  151. Sharpie says:
    It seems to me that the last thing I would be worried about after having 4 kids rushed to the hospital would be posting about a pp dispute. I understand that things pile up when you are having a bad week, but really she should be able to see that she was in the wrong for not shipping when she said she would. She’s making it seem like the buyer is intentionally kicking her while she is down and that isn’t right. With the CD world full of scam artists right now no one is taking any chances.
  152. magpiedpiper says:
    I think it’s a bad idea to teach your kids to ask strangers if food is safe before eating it. Of COURSE a stranger with intent to harm will say yes, and those who are innocent (well, as innocent a a stranger offering cookies can be) will probably not assume the kids have severe food allergies since they don’t know them – they would think they meant no glass/poison/bugs or something.
    And still, I have seen very few cookies that have both peanuts AND walnuts/almonds in them.
  153. magpiedpiper says:
    Messy, I do agree with you, but I also think she DID say two ambulances.
  154. Sharpie says:
    Messy I just re-read her post and she says in there that the stuff at the park happened yesterday but then went on to site it as the reason for not having the package shipped out till this week. How did something that didn’t happen until yesterday affect shipping that occurred earlier this week?
  155. thewhiteninja says:
    I don’t think people aren’t reading my posts dripping with the sarcasm I am intending them to have.
    And I am not hung up on Molly. Like I said this is the first time I have even posted about it on any forum, although her name gets brought up quite often on trollswithwoodenspoons so my mind does get refreshed every so often.
  156. Messy says:
    Oh, ok, yeah. Two ambulances. So, each one takes two children with no parents to the ER? Eh, I still call BS.
  157. Messy says:
    #157 For someone not hung up on her, you have spent all morning hanging on her. You are starting to look like cyber-mese-twins!
  158. Sharpie says:
    Ninja – just let it go. Stop posting about it and it will all go away.
  159. Messy says:
    & Before you say it, I am totally hung up on Piccookie mom. She is going to be whiteninjas new sitter! Makes me worry!!! It’s ok, I will google the route to the ER for ya to pick your kids up.
  160. StacEy says:
    ninja. I totally believe you’re super duper mellow. You sound like a live and let live kinda gal. Super mellow people always drag up the past and rub others’ faces in it. I also totally believe that you question whether or not you have a pulse, you sound like a person with compromised blood flow to your brain.
  161. Sharpie says:
    All this cookie talk has me craving some. Time to go to the park by the seniors center.
  162. Sharpie says:
    OMG StacEy LOL.
  163. Messy says:
    #162 ROFLMAO then follow with #163 LOL!!! Ok, so if I get dh to read all this, do you think it would cause him to crave a cookie… of the pink variety? NOT FROM A SENIOR CITIZEN!!! GAH!!!
  164. theinvisible says:
    Eewww. Pink cookie and senior citizen do not belong in the same dialoge. I am not craving anything anymore, thank you.
  165. Sharpie says:
    Seniors and cookies? I don’t think that will get any man hot.
    On second thought maybe it could. This could explain Ninja’s lack of blood flow to the brain( if she was a man with a Old Cooter Cookie fetish) most of the blood flow would be heading down south right about now and could result in a lack of proper thought process.
  166. Messy says:
    #167 Old Lady Cooter Cookies! Bwahahaha!!! Old Cooter Cookie Fetish… I am betting that is the least of all fetishes. Old wrinkly pruney puss OK, yup, nevermind. So how’s your weather?
  167. melmelly says:
    πŸ˜‰ Is whiteninja Lee? You would think the way “she” has come in here to ruffle some feathers that it would just have to be him! lol
  168. amessymama says:
    You have to pay to have a Hyena Cart, right?
    Cuz someone ought to let amberbamberbabyfluff (god, what a horrible name) that she can showcase her hideous crap on Photobucket. For free.
    Surely that’s the only thing HC is for her. No one can seriously be purchasing her stuff.
    The first pair of longies pictured in post #78 look like they’re being worn by a flapper.
  169. amessymama says:
    I just had to change the subject. You all were insulting my grandma.
  170. theinvisible says:
    Oh, yeah, that is some truly uninspired stuff. I wonder if anyone has ever put that on a real baby? It looks like the poor thing wouldn’t be able to move its thighs.
  171. melmelly says:
    I think these are my favorite!
    I really think she needs to take a break from shopping at the thrift stores for sweaters to “down-cycle”.
  172. youdontknowme says:
    holy crap.
  173. melmelly says:
    Looking for badly made items on Hyena Cart and Etsy is going to take up a lot of my sewing time if I don’t nip it in the bud NOW! I have lots to get sewn up, but I am having too hard of a time from looking away.
  174. thewhiteninja says:
    You guys are just so clever. How’d you know I was Lee?
  175. Sharpie says:
    I’m thinking of starting up a new congo called Fugly for your Fanny and inviting Amski, the un-paper towel mama and AmberBamber to join me.
  176. melmelly says:
    Sharpie- If you that congo, send AmberBamber my way. I have a bunch of lovely sweaters that could be “down-cycled”. And just make sure that the un-paper towels are for family cloth ONLY. πŸ˜‰
  177. melmelly says:
    *do that congo.
  178. Messy says:
    Camallama is crying πŸ˜₯ You have hurt her deeply by not inviting her to the Fugly congo 😦 She has to wipe her tears with scraps left over from making diapers out of her old granny’s scratchy wool sweater.
    ~~~It’s ok. I sent her to the park for a friendly cookie.

  179. Incognizable says:

    why the hell are some people jumping on the mama that received the fresh shit on her diapers?!? talking buyers remorse and crap. what the fuck is wrong with them?

  180. Incognizable says:

    *181 ETA on her thread on DS, not on here πŸ˜‰

  181. ~*~Momma~*~ says:

  182. magpiedpiper says:

    #181, I think we’ve outlined why there’s a chance of buyer’s remorse there. Read back some.

    Messy, I was just about to suggest that snaps, amberbamber and camallama do a collaboration. Maybe they can start the Cooter Cookie Congo? Camallama can use Snap’s granny panties to make depends, and give her granny’s blankets to amberbamber to make elderly lady longies to go over them. They can take their wares to parks to sell them.

  183. Incognizable says:

    @184..oooohhh, well she deleted a bunch of her threads..they be gone….shes gone into hiding.

  184. Roxanna says:

    Molly I just wanted to pop in and tell you that I am glad you are honest about your past and try to educate others πŸ™‚ Thank God you DD is ok and that you knew CPR. I think people need to share stories like that to let everyone else know that it only can take a few seconds for something terrible to happen!
    I also understand how you feel you need to educate others it is what we are taught in nursing school :::hugs::: One of the most important parts of nursing is the education

  185. theinvisible says:

    185 Who deleted their threads?

  186. diudiaole says:

    #173 — that is the only pair in her cart that she might have been able to sell if she had taken the time to make the legs even roughly the same length!! lol

    #181 — well, it is her word against someone else’s word(someone else who has been on the site sometime and has +++ feedback)… I didn’t stare too long at the shit pics… but she was an ASS to the seller using all caps etc and she did say she was “flat broke”… and that ain’t nb poop on nb size diapers…

  187. diudiaole says:

    #184 — old lady longies LOL

  188. Incognizable says:

    @187, the OP with the fresh shit on her diapers, she started to delete all her posts. Her siggy says something about taking a break from DS and preterm labor.

  189. theinvisible says:

    OH SNAP!

  190. Incognizable says:

    @188, gotcha. I caught the beginning of the drama, missed the part where she became an ass, and caught the end. Off to read the parts she wasnt able to delete.

    AND Yeah that ain’t NB mustard poop on those dipes.

  191. amessymama says:

    I think I’m going to add a disclaimer to my fsot posts:

    I promise not to smear poop on the dipes, if you promise not smear poop on the dipes and then try to blame me.

  192. Munklettes says:

    #193 – LMAO!!!

  193. thewhiteninja says:

    it looks like dog shit

  194. Sharpie says:

    I’ll be sure to send Camallama an invite in the mail via my secretary/shipping & receiving expert Angie for her to join my congo, of course who knows if it will show in time for the grand opening.

  195. Sharpie says:

    Oh and Snap’s won’t have any time to do a collab as she’ll be to busy as my customer service rep and public relations manager.

  196. amessymama says:

    I found a new congomate for ya! She also likes to use old blankets.

    Camallama wants to be her tester.

    And why does mechellemomX3 always get so excited for the mamas that dip their toe into the WAHM pool w/ there “just got my first sewing machine from walmart crap”.

  197. amessymama says:

    Love the name though, onopeepoos. WTF!?!

  198. StacEy says:

    sharpie, you’re killin’ me. I’m picturing all of this and getting very excited about your new congo.

    and omg…that amber cart. I saw some longies with a 19″ rise and a 7″ inseam. I am LMAO imagining the child who would need those pants. Poor kid.

  199. Sharpie says:

    WTF indeed!

  200. Sharpie says:

    Mini Urkel pants maybe?

  201. JustPeachy says:

    Capris anyone?

  202. diudiaole says:

    With the onopeepoos.. for a cheap recycled flannel pocket fitted dipe, the price would be too high with the cost of shipping both ways. Would be cheaper to get clearance flannel at JoAnn’s and just make flannel dipes or go to her local thrift store and buy cheap flannel blankets.

    And if you’re going to pin anyway, might as well just use the flannel blanket as a flat — more fabric to absorb… faster drying etc.

  203. Megan says:

    I’m beyond frustrated with the people come to piccolo’s defense. For real? Do they NOT see the gaping chasms in her story? It’s ridiculous.

  204. amessymama says:

    Does anyone know if any of the present good diaper making mamas started out out w/ hideous, crappy tester dipes?

    I’m just trying to see if there is hope for any of these mamas.

  205. magpiedpiper says:

    With floridamama deleting her posts and taking a break from DS (and here apparently), plus being so defensive…I’m starting to lean more toward the idea that the staining was more than she assumed it would be, so she wiped some poop on there to get even more reaction/reason for refund.

    I mean, for $2 ppd per stained dipe, you can’t imagine they are pristine when the seller TELLS you they are stained. That’s just common sense. And really, other than the fresh stuff, the staining on the pics she took isn’t over the top or anything.

    I mean, some people want NO stains and that’s absolutely their prerogative. But if I was that broke, and those are 15 functional diapers that just need some cleaning and sunning and I knew ahead of time they were coming stained and was okay with that then, I’d probably keep them. Just my opinion though of course.

  206. diudiaole says:

    #207 — yeah I’m thinking the same thing — what a scam! And how many people are thinking now that the seller is filthy and disgusting and will never buy from her. Too fucked up! And the seller paid this bitch an extra $15 on top of refunding the $30ppd.. plus paid what $8.40 for the return shipping? So the original seller basically paid $31.80 to get totally smeared(ha no pun intended) by this twatwad.

    Excuse me while I go puke. What a POS!!! 😑

  207. theinvisible says:

    Well, actually….I’m thinking she hasn’t refunded her as of yet. She said she would when she actually received the diapers. Maybe she will see this and reconsider her offer. Maybe a refund minus shipping. And the OP left feedback for the sellers but they still hadn’t left fb for her. So technically, they could still salvage the situation.

  208. diudiaole says:

    read the vey last line of #88 — the whole thing was a big “fuck you” to the seller regarding STAINS not shit, but stains.

  209. magpiedpiper says:

    Funny how she was so quick to talk about everything until it was brought up that maybe she was a scammer rather than the seller being filthy. And then it was suddenly time to “take a break”

  210. incognizable says:

    My bad on the shitty dipes, I just got caught up. I didnt realize she came out to play on here…

  211. JustPeachy says:

    Wrong post diu. 88 is just some one liner about the OPs post count?

  212. amessymama says:

    I think she meant #88 on here.

  213. lisa says:

    #111,No i am not off my rocker. I really do think you smeared your own poop on those dipes!

  214. kitty1163 says:

    Shit. Do you think the whole thing was a scam on the poopy diapers? I didn’t even go there. Now I feel like a POS for calling out the names of the sellers.

    Gotta go meditate some more.

  215. lisa says:

    Now shes saying she doesnt want us to think bad of the Seller becuase mistakes happen???

    Hold on

    If somebody sent me diapers through the post with fresh shit on them, i wouldnt give a damm what others thought of the seller.
    I smell some!!!

  216. theinvisible says:

    I know. And what the hell does she need a break from….she’s posted a handful of times outside of this mess. That sucks. She got me.

  217. lisa says:

    errmm guilt trip us maybe?

  218. amessymama says:

    Now I really feel bad for the seller. Now she’s the one who’s going to get crap in her mailbox.

    I wonder, when the OP mails them and the postal clerk asks if there is anything hazardous, if she’ll say,”Yes, my shit is in there.”

  219. lisa says:

    #220 ROFLMAO

  220. insomiac says:

    completely OT by now but I just was able to check back in Lindsay, #87…in case it came off wrong, that was not a snarky remark on you at all! πŸ™‚

    Those were made very very wrong. The crotch seam was crazy crooked and I would have complained to the maker if I were you. I thought maybe you took the pic like that to show people so that they would not buy them and be surprised or upset at you.
    I was shocked a seller of the caliber of who that was would send out something that extremely wonky. It looked like one of the back panels was sewn to the front and vice versa.
    Sorry if you took my post at saying I was saying anything negative about you at all!! Not your fault they were made like that!!

  221. insomiac says:

    maybe it was a melted snickers bar she smeared everywhere?

    I remember seeing kids at camp pull that joke and it really looked like poo

    one can only hope it is not actually shit…..ick.

  222. Messy says:

    I was gone a while today… Came home home to someone on CDN telling me to back the fuck off of Piccookie and someone else agreeing. WTF??? Baaaack I will go. If you want to believe in fairy tales, have the hell at it!

  223. diudiaole says:

    Yes, I meant post #88 on here, I’ll quote the last two e-mails:

    the 2nd mamas most recent reply

    ___end quote

    Read that last sentence — that is a total F-U- to the seller b/c she was upset about buying stained dipes that were clearly listed as stained and priced accordingly.

    So she either smeared her shit, dog’s shit, dh’s shit … ugh or someone’s SHIT on those diapers and then blamed it on the seller and smeared her so as to get refunded. Soooo apalling!

  224. Messy says:

    I ❀ some mamas BTW πŸ™‚

  225. Booyah says:

    I THOUGHT those skid marks looked a little weird. Hmmmm. Just another confucksing day at the drama blog!

  226. screenname says:

    I guess she isn’t going to do the knotted elastic amber necklace testers anymore.

  227. Messy says:

    I am so pissy over the Piccookie mom that I am behind on the shitty diaper drama DAMN IT~!
    I have so many vents today. It has just been one thing after another… All made right in the end but DAMN! This is freaking Friday NOT Monday <— Someone tell the WeekMonster to get off my ass!!!
    So what have we deduced the shit smears are? I swear to Goodness, I am going to laugh my ass off if we find out it is chocolate peanut/walnut/almond cookie smears :::ROFLMAO:::

  228. Messy says:

    #228 Huh? The link just went to the WAHM forum???

  229. amessymama says:

    Poopy dipe mama is the safer teething necklace mama.

  230. riffrafflittleman says:

    the more i kept thinking about it the more that cookie crap pissed me off. come on, my six year old son with autism knows better than to accept food from strangers.

  231. amessymama says:

    228-Did you notice munchkinflame##’s posts on that thread?

    She must have another sister on DS besides shortcake####. kyrea##. I can’t remember everyone’s numbers.

    If that thread wasn’t already dead, I would ask if they were sister.

  232. diudiaole says:

    #229… If only it were chocolate .. there is a greenish hue in one pic. ::barf:: that chick is foul

  233. JustPeachy says:

    Someone told you to back of piccolo?

  234. JustPeachy says:

    off not of stupid ass lol

  235. amessymama says:

    I really want to post on the cookie thread. But the only thing I can think to say is that it sounds like big, fat lie.

    And since, I guess it could be true *in bizarro world* I’m hesitant.

    But I’ll say it here.

    BIG. FAT. LIE.

  236. mmspirit7 says:

    messy you were right and i don’t think your post was harsh and i posted and agree with you.

  237. StacEy says:

    so I don’t want to link this store because I don’t wanna bash this wahm…but there’s a wahm stocking fitteds on HC today and the size small (newborn to 6mo) has a 19.5″ rise!!!! The baby in the picture has the diaper up to his armpits. It looks ridiculous and I cannot figure out why the wahm thought that was a useful design. I will say that her site is nice and the pictures are nice…her diapers look well-made and she has obviously taken the time to produce a quality item…but 19.5″ rise?!?!

  238. amessymama says:

    Awww c’mon 240. You know we are going to find it anyway. Make it easy on us. πŸ™‚

  239. StacEy says:

    I don’t wanna ruin the fun for you πŸ˜‰

  240. Messy says:

    I quit posting on DS to Piccookie mama when she posted it on CDN.
    When I was told to back the fuck off her, I quit posting to her about it on the CDN thread as well… I said so HERE see above.
    ALSO, it was here before it was there. It has been here since it started on DS.
    I am not going to keep trying to explain to her that it is dangerous when she isn’t going to listen and afterall, I was told to back the fuck off. Off I went…

  241. Messy says:

    #231 Oh wow. See, I completely zoned past and over that!!! Zoooom!

  242. thenewbie says:

    225 just FYI that quote is from the2nd mama not from the one with the first set of diapers this one was not at all disclosed to have any staining so before you comment about it you should thoroughly read it. and yes i did get pissed off with the 2nd mother because of her other responses and the reply was sent accordingly.

    but like i have stated on ds and here its pointless to even concern myself with the feelings any of you have because i know the entire story. i know what has and hasnt happened. i feel that resolving the issues with the mothers and involving the moderators as needed is the appropriate action. i did contact a moderator prior to deleting anything and i did save every single statement made by me in case the moderators need it. and do feel that taking a break from the internet is a very good idea for me so that i do not endanger the life of my child stressing over the thoughts and opinions of people who think they are a bad ass behind a computer screen coming online just for the satisfaction of stirring up drama for people who are asking for advice. i guess you all feel so high and mighty that you can type such nasty things and degrade people behind their backs it really brings out the adult in all of you doesnt it? you remind me of a bunch of high schoolers wishing to be cool and wishing you actually had a life but in reality you are poor souls addicted to the drama of the internet and all the kicks you get from giving people bad advice and then laughing in their face and pointing the finger when they take the bad advice.

    yes i feel bad for even asking what i should do and wont ever even think of doing that again because eventhough i tried not to disclose the names of the mamas involved that was figured out and my intentions were not the outcome that came of the post. i just wanted advice. unfortunately i didnt get very good advice. enjoy your miserable internet lives and have a nice day!

  243. StacEy says:

    ah messy, don’t let the fairy tale believers…and dream weavers…get you down! I think I might have a song on my hands here, let me work on that. In the meantime Messy, distract yourself with pictures of this cute kid in the diaper I may or may not have been talking about in post 240.

  244. Messy says:

    Yea Peach. Chill the fuck out or some such…
    But someone is now pissy that I am posting about the OP over here (EVEN THOUGH IT WAS HERE FIRST AND I WAS PARTICIPATING FROM THE START HERE). I said I would back the fuck out of it on CDN (and have period). I told myself that after it went to CDN, I would not post on DS about it and I have not!
    I can’t bash the lying Piccookie mama anywhere πŸ˜₯

  245. diudiaole says:

    I am still looking for the 19.5 in rise nb diaper!

    I need someone who does “YYMN” to make me something like this: http://hyenacart.com/prod_details.php?id=32301&vid=924

    any recs?

  246. kitty1163 says:

    240: That doesn’t make any sense to me and I have to say none of it looks good. They don’t look like they’d stay on.

  247. Messy says:

    #246 I will sing (or howl as the case with my singing is…) back up for ya on that song!
    And ummm… Those diapers remind me of high waisted jeans :::blech::: BUT I love the print and you are right, they are cute!

  248. diudiaole says:

    whatever #245 — you stated you had already left feedback and then posted the exact FSOT photos of that seller — doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see who you left feedback for!

    You’re just getting a little taste of how you made the seller feel! You opened this can of worms and your story doesn’t add up at all. And seriously just get off the internet if this is causing you contractions … quit endangering your child’s life already.

  249. magpiedpiper says:

    #245 We get off on internet drama, and yet you posted to your own thread about it like 30 times, and several times over here as well? Hmm.

    And as far as saying things behind people’s backs – all of this was said TO you. It would be said over at DS too except you can’t say anything bad to scammers there without getting handslaps.

  250. Aj says:

    I originally posted the cookie link and call bs, so if anyone wants to point fingers, here I am.

    I am not a member at cdn, that is why I did not call her out over there.

  251. amessymama says:

    Thanks for posting that link to the chin to crotch diaper. I could not find it. Hey it’s a bib and diaper all-in-one!!

    No one can say she isn’t descriptive. That was a lot of pics from every possible angle.

  252. Messy says:

    #253 Ohhh!!! Can I pointz fingerz at ya? πŸ˜‰
    Nah, I dunno why it pisses someone off that when I am told to quit, I do… But does that mean I have to do it over here too??? That I can’t talk about it anywhere??? After her taking it to CDN, I stopped posting about it at all on DS. After being told to leave her alone on CDN, that means I can’t still talk about it here??? Someone forgot to send me the memo of rulez again πŸ˜₯

  253. amessymama says:

    Hey diu, I can’t knit but I do have some knitting needles around here somewhere.

    Want me to take a stab at it?

    Then maybe I can join the fugly congo too.

  254. Messy says:

    #254 LOL… Anyone remember the old sunsuits that used to tie at the top and be kinda soaker shaped at the legs even for big girls?

  255. diudiaole says:

    #256 LOL if I wanted fugly I would do them myself… I only know how to cast on, and knit rows.. but hey, that should be enough know-how to do some YYMN soaker tester slots right??!!

    I have some pretty yarn but I think my 3 month old may be potty trained by the time I find time to learn how to knit him a soaker!! LOL

  256. Messy says:

    #258 With that amount of knowledge, why have you not opened your own hyena cart yet??? C’mon you are a WAHM now!!! πŸ˜‰

  257. JustPeachy says:

    I was going to offer my services when I get a chance but its a soaker and I am intimidated by soakers. Ive only knit shorties and longies because they seem alot easier then soakers.

  258. mmspirit7 says:

    Lol, i am going to admit this blog is making me take things slow with opening my own home business

  259. Messy says:

    Ok, I will admit, I don’t pay a lot of attention to screen names…
    SO! I did not realize that the woman emailing me about her issues with her diapers was the same one making the necklaces. I had emailed with her before about something else and linked her here πŸ˜‰
    Anyhow, I just don’t get it at all. Those shit smears are something I would have seen first thing out of the package; not later upon *closer inspection. Shit streaks are not little spots.

  260. amessymama says:

    That pretty much all I can do too. I tried to learn when my 6 y/o was in dipes. That’s where the knitting needles are from. I still have all kinds of boy colored wool too.

  261. Messy says:

    #261 Yeah. Me too. I keep my stuff to sales IRL. If and when I ever open a business, I will come here and bash it first to see if anyone agrees ROFLMAO!!!

  262. amessymama says:

    Oh and messy, I do remember those sunsuits. They tied at each shoulder right? My little sister used to wear them.

  263. CDNation says:

    253 Feel free to come on over.

    Messy you’re allowed to have opinions. You’re not the only one over there that feels that way.

  264. mmspirit7 says:

    264, yeah that’s why I have buged all the mamas at cdn with questions about what they would want and such LOL i still have a list but i am working threw it i did this before so i am not just knew to this crowd and having my own store.

  265. diudiaole says:

    Yes, I have owned knitting needles for one whole month. I am ready!! πŸ˜€

    #264 That’s a good idea, Messy! Strike first lol I have had an etsy account for a long time… was hoping to stock some clay art dolls, but it just hasn’t happened. 😐

  266. Messy says:

    #266 I know! That is why I LOVE CDN sooo much! But when someone feels as strongly as the person did that told me to get off the OP, then I need to back up, rethink, and not post again especially when I have nothing more to add…
    But I don’t want to get slammed for continuing my bitchfest over here! If I don’t bitch somewhere, there will be a Bitchplosion in the Midwest that would shake the continent πŸ˜€

  267. Messy says:

    #268 Your dolls are simply gorgeous! You should sell them. I honestly think they would be a hit. OOAK dolls are special anyhow.

  268. adensmama says:

    All this craptastic WAHM stuff is making me nervous 😦 I hope someone will tell me if my crap is crappy and not let me think I am awesome for no reason.

    Those amberbamber sweater-crappies are horrible, I noticed her store the other day and was shocked but didn’t think to say anything about it.

    And the 19″ rise diapers-hilarious! They are really cute but I bet it would fit my 2 year old!

    That poop smear diaper OP chick is obviously mentally unwell, I don’t believe her story and I didn’t believe it when I first read the post either. Who takes “to sell” pics of their “to sell” dipes and then uses them again?! Plus if the original mama was dropping poopy diapers off her changing table the stains STILL wouldn’t look like that. And now the fact that she is deleting her posts all over the place…classic scamalicious thing to do IMO.

  269. adensmama says:

    #268 I wanna see your stuff! I bet it isn’t crappy πŸ™‚

  270. Messy says:

    #271 And just when I was starting to like the NooseNecklaceShitSmear mama 😦 ITA

  271. diudiaole says:

    #270 aww thank you! I may just have to get too work… so many projects, so little time!

  272. diudiaole says:

    *to work

  273. diudiaole says:

    #271 — we would let you know — pics?? πŸ™‚

  274. adensmama says:

    Haha…if anyone would tell me it would be you gals!

    All the pics are up on my store, I have to work on it more this weekend to add the descriptions and all that stuff though.

  275. Sharpie says:

    I agree 271 and it sounds like the seller had never used them anyway.

    wow! first of all i am so so soooo terribly sorry. i have no idea how that happened. a girlfriend of mine gave me all the SB’s sizes and i never even used that size. she washed them before giving them to me and i washed them before posting.

  276. diudiaole says:

    I want this one: http://hyenacart.com/AppleBubbleBaby/index.php?c=0&p=17570

    that is the coolest fabric!

  277. adensmama says:

    #279 that is one of my faves! It’s Japanese and it’s a heavyweight fabric…like a sweatshirt knit or something. Super soft πŸ˜€

  278. diudiaole says:

    And I am so in that FFS lotto! πŸ˜›

    It looks great… I would like to see more pics of the dipes, like opened up, maybe some action shots too and an “about me” blurb to personalize it all.

    I know you’re just opening, but if you could get a couple collabs going w/great knitter and appliqued shirts too.. you’d be a definite winner! LOVE the looks of those dipes.. your prints are great!

  279. Messy says:

    I want in the FFS auction too! What sizes do those diapers accomodate?

  280. diudiaole says:

    oh I see you have a spot for “about me” already…

  281. Munklettes says:

    #280 – I’m confused about the FFS lotto – this part here – “This item will be offered by lottery at Hyena Cart! There is no cost to enter, but please bear in mind that the winner of the drawing is obligated to purchase this item at the listed price.” – that’s just the shipping price, right?

  282. diudiaole says:

    #284 — I think all the HC lottos say that… yeah just shipping on FFS

  283. Munklettes says:

    OK! I was confused πŸ™‚

  284. try me, i'm new! says:

    lol – you have 18 shoppers right now. very cute!

  285. StacEy says:

    ABB…looks great!

  286. melmelly says:

    The high rise newborn diapers? That woman was getting pretty snappy with people in clothdiapering on LJ earlier this week. She was marketing them as “elimination communication” diapers, but apparently her wording was really strong and offended a lot of the mama’s. I didn’t read it before she deleted the offending wording, but basically she was saying people were diapering their children wrong if they didn’t do it the way she described. *eyeroll*

    And then she tried to chalk it up to a language/cultural thing. She is a Russian, who moved to the States, and then moved to Toronto. I can understand that there may be a possible language barrier and conveying her point, but could have taken the criticism better than she did.

    She was also complaining that she has the diapers listed on her Etsy and doesn’t understand why they aren’t selling when they are being viewed 100+ times a day.

  287. adensmama says:

    Oooh awesome! I do have shoppers lol!

    Ok to answer the Q’s (sorry nak)

    They are OS dipes so they will fit about 10-35 lbs. My 2 year old DD fits into them just fine and she was 33 lbs last time I checked which was a while ago!

    Yes the FFS lotto is free, you would just have to pay the shipping if you win! That one didn’t turn out as well as I would have liked because I’m super picky. But I figured it would be good advertising and everyone loves free stuff!

    I am going to be adding the descriptions and abbout me section and a couple more pics this weekend. I will go post a pic of the inner example in each one as soon as DS finishes eating. I thought I had done that but I guess not!

    Go to this one

    You can see the example of the inner, except this is a night time one and it has a snap in zorb doubler. It snaps into the trifold soaker instead of the diaper, you can also just leave it out and use it as a regular dipe πŸ™‚

  288. Messy says:

    Ahhh DS is 40 lbs. πŸ˜₯

  289. adensmama says:

    Oh and 281, I love collabs! I just need to find some people…a good knitter would be awesome. Too bad Amski isn’t still around?

    I have a lot of cute ideas, I’ve also made dresses in prints to match the diapers. And I want to try and make a mini diaper/dress set for DD’s waldorf doll so you never know!

  290. mmspirit7 says:

    Likw those dipes.

    i just got great news

  291. StacEy says:

    ah Messy…I know of a high rise diaper that might be a perfect fit for your 40 lb-er.

  292. melmelly says:

    adensmama!!! Can you fix your banner? It is missing “.com”, so it is rerouting that it can’t find the addy.

    I love your fabrics! You have great taste. I am a fabricaholic/fabric whore! I have a bunch of fabrics I bought in Japan three years ago and I am having a hard time using them! I can’t wait for my BIL to get stationed over there again. I have mad love for the Japanese!

  293. adensmama says:

    #295 I don’t know how to do that :O I’m going to go log in and see if I can figure it out.

    I haven’t even posted my fabric gallery yet…I have to take pics of all the new ones I’ve gotten! I’m with ya, I’m a total fabric whore LOL. It’s just as addictive as buying diapers!
    I would LOOOVE to see your japanese fabric, also super addicted here. Did you see those Tokidoki/hello kitty yards on ebay that sold for $65?

    Messy they might fit him, I could always try and make you some with a higher rise too! I think mine are still bigger than most of the OS snappiables out there though.

  294. amessymama says:

    LOVE the piggy dipe!!! Those look good. I’m just not a snappiable print fitted person. The thought of putting holes in those prints scares me.

    But I do love that piggy dipe.

    Dresses? Like dresses in the piggy print? πŸ˜€

  295. diudiaole says:

    Messy, how old is your DS? I have two 3.5 yr olds, one is 34lbs and one 39, but the lighter one fits mediums b/c so skinny and even though my heavier one is pretty husky, his hips are narrow so I can fit most larges on him.

  296. adensmama says:

    297 πŸ™‚ I could do that but I would have to order more of the fabric…it is kind of expensive but oh so cute!

    Here’s an example of a dress I made

  297. Messy says:

    He is a big boy. He wears a size 4… None of his large diapers fit him at all. I was so sad when his piddle poddles would no longer fit comfortably across his big ole fat hips. I have one specially made adorabums that fits him good and one other that I can’t think of the name of… But they are the only ones that fit him 😦

  298. Messy says:

  299. melmelly says:

    296 After you login, go to “store settings” and select “profile page”. You should be able to fix it on the second line down, the “Biz URL” one.

  300. diudiaole says:

    Speaking of weights and sizes…. remember my teeny tiny newborn?? Can you believe he’ll be 3 months on Tuesday!! πŸ˜₯

  301. Messy says:

    Diu! OMgosh no!!! He is sooo cute but getting sooo big! Make him stop!!! He is too cute!

  302. diudiaole says:

    Aww, what are your go to dipes for him then? flats? Does he fit XL pockets?

  303. diudiaole says:

    He is teething already… sooner than my other two! He is such a sweetie — I was hoping for an easier baby this time around and I got it. πŸ™‚

  304. Messy says:

    #305 Diu, we are having to use sposies sadly enough. If it were not for his allergy meds, he would be wearing beach towels.

  305. adensmama says:

    #303 he is adorable!!! I love the hair πŸ˜‰

    It is amazing how big they get so fast, I can’t believe my DS was EVER a newborn he is so darn fat!

  306. kitty1163 says:

    293: what is the news?

    And Katie: Why not ask z13 for some knitters to collab?

  307. mmspirit7 says:

    dh is coming home sooner than planed but 5 days

  308. diudiaole says:

    #307 — do the allergy meds cause bowel issues or ? I used sposies for a long time, but it was just getting too expensive… I mean what three year old poops like 6-8X per day?! Oh, mine does! And he’s got some delays and such so potty training is not yet on the horizon for him.

  309. adensmama says:

    310 that is awesome! Almost a whole week sooner!

    Messy did you try the PP toddler os?

  310. diudiaole says:

    #308 — I think fat babies are so freaking cute, but all of mine have been lean. I think I got all their fat during my pregnancies. πŸ˜›

  311. adensmama says:

    Haha 313 I feel ya, I gained like 60 lbs with each of mine!

    My DD was always super lean. Ds is the same size now, at 5 months, that she was at about 8-9 months!

  312. mmspirit7 says:

    yeah it is it’s going to be great! in time for our ani as well not i have to find him a gift and i worry about dd and freaking out around him she’s really a mama’s girl

  313. adensmama says:

    #315 how long has he been gone? Was he deployed?

  314. mmspirit7 says:

    yes deployed and he’s been gone a year

  315. adensmama says:

    Oh man you must be REALLY happy to see him then πŸ˜‰

    That’s why I’m getting out…if I stay in I would have to go to Radio BN and then I would be deploying all the time, I would miss my kiddos too much 😦

  316. diudiaole says:

    adensmama — what is the max rise on your dipes?

  317. diudiaole says:

    mmspirit7 — that’s great news! πŸ™‚

  318. mmspirit7 says:

    yeah he’s got 10 years in this aug it’s the only thing he wants to do.

    he went injuried this time and didn’t heal while over so he has some work to do before he can deploy again

  319. mmspirit7 says:

  320. Messy says:

    #311 No, he is terribly allergic to sposies. The allergy meds allow him to wear them without chemical burns.
    #312 I love her dipes and have been a customer over and over πŸ˜€ Robin is the best! But I cannot afford a stash of toddler diapers. So, sposies it has been.

  321. melmelly says:

    318 Have you ever been stationed overseas? My BIL was in Japan for a little over 4 years, and has been in the UK for almost 2.5 years. He is finally coming back to the States late this summer. He (and I, lol) wants to go back to Japan after he is done up there. My husband, DS1, and I went three years ago and had way too much fun.

    My sister found out six months after they left Japan that two of her HS classmates had been at the same base too, they were enlisted, and she is only a Navy wife. Such a small world!

  322. Messy says:

  323. melmelly says:

    mmspirit, are you going to let us all know when he gets home so we don’t wonder where you have disappeared too? πŸ˜‰

  324. diudiaole says:

    #323 – I’m so sorry to hear that 😦 Does he have the same reaction to microfleece/suedecloth as he does to sposies?

  325. adensmama says:

    #319 it’s about 18″ after being washed/dried on hot a bunch of times. It starts out at about 19-19.5 but it takes so long for OBF to be fully prepped…

    #321 so many marines in my company run around injured because people are always getting on your case for being on light duty, even if it’s for a good reason!
    I wish I could stay in and retire after 20 years, but my knees are all messed up.

  326. mmspirit7 says:

    messy i know it’s only on but did you enter this http://hyenacart.com/piddlepoddles/index.php?c=0&p=10972

  327. mmspirit7 says:

    thank you messy

  328. adensmama says:

    #323 that sucks so bad 😦 can you get some toddler size PFs? I know the toddler PPs are so expensive 😦

    If you want when I get my next shipment of OBF I will make a BIG os dipe for your DS and sell it to you as a tester!

  329. mmspirit7 says:

    326 yes i will

    328 he was red flaged up until 48 hours before he left. he couldn’t even wear body armor

  330. amessymama says:

    adensmamma-OMG that dress is adorable!! I may have to get me one.

    diu-OMG that baby is adorable! I may just have to get me one. Oh wait, I’ve already had some of those. πŸ™‚ He is such a cutie pie.

    mmspirit7-Yeah!!!! That’s great news!

  331. Messy says:

    #327 Nope. It is strictly an allergy to something that is in sposies. All brands. His allergy med block what ever the problem thing is though.

  332. kitty1163 says:

    Congrats mmspirit7. That’s really exciting. :):):):)

  333. mmspirit7 says:

    Thanks everyone. I can’t wait.

  334. Messy says:

    #329 TY! I have entered it now!!!

  335. Messy says:

    #331 LMK if you decide to make them! I always like testing stuff because if it works out, it is my new stash LOL! That is what sucks about Angie’s testing spots not working out… I was so excited too 😦

  336. amessymama says:

    I entered for you too, messy. If I win, it’s yours.

  337. mmspirit7 says:

    your welcome I love them myself but that one was to big for dd.

  338. Messy says:

    #339 πŸ™‚ TY! There are 355 people entered!!! OMgosh! That is a lot of people!!! Her dipes are awesome though…

  339. mmspirit7 says:

    messy I entered too if I win it’s yours

  340. Messy says:

    πŸ™‚ TY!

  341. adensmama says:

    338 I will def. try for ya! I made newborn size and they turned out great, so I don’t see why I couldn’t make a chunky butt size too πŸ™‚

    Do you know your son’s rise/waist measurements? That would give me a good idea of what to go off of. And my DD could be like the smaller size in the range so that would help too.

    Now if my damn OBF would ever get here, I would be all set. I’m going to have to find somewhere else to buy some because the stuff I ordered from a coop isn’t here yet and it’s been 10-ish weeks.

  342. diudiaole says:

    Messy — do you have any old size large pockets your DS doesn’t fit into anymore? See, I have an XL and an XXL pocket that my son will probably never fit into properly… not new by any means, but bulletproof πŸ™‚

  343. mmspirit7 says:

    343 your welcome

  344. melmelly says:

    Same here! I hope one of us can get it for you. I might have some OBF that I could send to adensmama for a diaper for your son Messy. Let me look and if it’s cool with adensmama.

  345. adensmama says:

    #333 I might stock some semi-customs in my store next stocking. I was thinking I could have it be YPS…I just want to have all the fabric picked out beforehand because I need to make sure I have coordinating solid print that matches perfectly.

  346. Kelolsen says:

    Messy – are you looking for high rise fitteds? Ethan is very tall and about 40 lbs. He’s PLed now, but I found that L FBs fit him very well, as did L Thirsties fitteds w/ L Thirsties covers. Little M’s diapers run b ig and she did some XL fitteds for him that fit very well and had a very high rise. I also did very well with Toddlease fitteds by Motherease w/ the XL covers- they are more affordable than some others and they are for 35+lbs. He wears a size 6 disposable, if that helps w/ sizing.

  347. adensmama says:

    In ref to #345…I have a large sposoeasy that’s brand new and DD will NEVER fit into it, you’re welcome to it if ya want it’s just taking up space.
    only problem is it’s lavender πŸ˜€

  348. mmspirit7 says:

    lol 349 If you can follow the blog to see she stop talking about the cookie mama and we are talking about diapers then why couldn’t you post here what you posted on Cdn?

  349. diudiaole says:

    #344 — I have 2 yards each of OBF and OBV, washed once… I’ve just been preferring hemp fabrics lately. I’m also thinking of trading my knits for wovens because I’ve been getting wonky seams half the time w/knits and it frustrates me to no end.

  350. adensmama says:

    Oooh, must see your knits! I have some OBV still but I do need OBF. Email me at thepinkleprechaun at gmail dot com.

    Knits are hard to sew with, and OBV is super hard because it’s so stretchy! Hard to resist though when it’s so delicious πŸ™‚ I had a custom OBV blanket made from Bonnie at HL and it is so awesome I want to steal it from DD!

  351. diudiaole says:

    #350 — that would be awesome, we do purple and hot pink here lol

    e-mailing you re: OBF……..

  352. try me, i'm new! says:

    that dress is super cute – I love that the print is just a small part and the rest coordinates with it – i can’t stand overly matching dress/tee and dipe sets where the whole damn get-up is all in the print. it’s like, omg, i lurve this print, it’s tdf!!!1!

    and dd has a dipe in that fairy tale print…..you wouldn’t happen to have anything coordinating in, oh, say, a 12-18 month size, would you? baby’s got a birthday coming up…

  353. adensmama says:

    I can make 12-18 month size fo sho πŸ™‚ My pattern goes from 6-12 all the way up to girls size 8. I can make a dress or I could also make a peasant type shirt. AND I still have an extra one of those castle appliques that I found, matches perfectly!!!

  354. adensmama says:

    Oh, and ITA about the print thing. For one thing a lot of those prints are just really BUSY. If you get a nice coordinating solid looks much better!

  355. adensmama says:

    Here’s another one I did

  356. mmspirit7 says:

    I like them…

  357. melmelly says:

    DS scammer drama that made it to diaper_drama on lj!

  358. adensmama says:

    Always so much drama over GMs. It amazes me that people still pay top $$ for them even though those supposedly “VHTF” diapers always end up stocking in the GM store later on anyways and then everyone gets them for retail. I used to do the GM thing and got out of it and never looked back.

  359. melmelly says:

    I sold and sent off the last of mine almost three weeks ago. I liked them at first, but the snaps really irritate my son. He is such a peanut (2.5yrs, about 29lbs) and they would fit him best at the tightest setting, but the snaps! If they weren’t at the tightest setting? They would fall off him.

    I bought all of mine before the craze really hit. I just don’t understand why some mama’s get themselves all worked up in a tizzy over a print. Like when they would go up for auction on HC? I know one mama that bought a good amount for several hundred dollars EACH! That is insane. I don’t care how much ass kissing is done to Suzanne, and how much you want to support her, but that is just ridiculous to spend that much money.

  360. screenname says:

    adensmama – I would also be very interested in a toddler size dipe. I’m looking for night diapers for DD. I have some pockets for her now that have FOE on the legs. She hates them. She says they hurt her thighs. So I’ve been using sposies but I hate them. And she says they smell funny. Although I guess she’d rather be smelly than in pain. She’s 42 lbs right now. Is that too big?

  361. screenname says:

    And BTW, I NEED that Little Piggy dipe! I’m going to post a stalking request and offer a $50 incentive so people will stalk for ME instead. And if YOU don’t like it then you can take your crayons and go HOME!

  362. adensmama says:

    363, I don’t think that’s too big, messy said her DS is 40 lbs πŸ™‚

    email me at the addy I posted in #353 and I will let you know when I get my shipment of OBF and you can be a tester if you want!

  363. adensmama says:

    LOL…if you want it you probably won’t have a hard time stalking it, it’s only my first stocking so I’m not holding my breath πŸ™‚ I’m expecting business to be slow at first!

  364. diudiaole says:

    #364 — $50 incentive? maybe she has more fabric to make another just for you for that price… or is it the thrill of the chase!? πŸ˜‰

  365. Messy says:

    RE Diaper talk (I am catching up!!!)~~~
    #344 I can get hid measurements
    #345 I have a lot of L’s but they are not sale worthy… I have either worn out the elastic stretching them to the max, or some wick (look like new though LOL). I really pushed my L’s to the max 😦 Sowwy.
    #347 TY!
    #349 Ya know, those are two brands that I have never ever owned. FB’s I have issues with their company but if I bought from another mama who needed to sell, I would feel ok with it LOL. Thirsties are velcro aren’t they? Velcro just won’t stay on his rump.

  366. adensmama says:

    Messy I bet a large FB would fit your DS just awesome. My DD would still definitely fit into a medium if we still used them. We can’t because she’s allergic to suedecloth/fleece though.

  367. Messy says:

    TY #351 I would have totally missed her post to me…
    Kelolsen, serioulsy, I said I would NOT post on CDN after someone told me to get off the OP. So, ummmm, thanks for posting to me over there when you knew for a fact I wasn’t posting to that thread again. Rest assured, I have moved on. You knew I was over here talking shit streaks and fat baby diapers, so you could have put me in my place over here when you knew I could respond… But I guess the discussion was already over by then huh?

  368. Messy says:

    adensmama, you have no idea at all how many people will attack you for your toddler sized diapers! Did you see the response to Angie’s tester thread? I mean honestly, they are in demand. I have toddler prefolds. But they just don’t work around the hips as well as a fitted. They are too tight or I don’t know what I am doing wrong at this point. We used to LOVE the toddler prefolds but when the large diapers quit fitting, they did not fit right anymore either 😦 I did use them to stuff my overworked pockets though!

  369. adensmama says:

    Whaaa? No I guess I must have missed that drama? What was the attack about??

  370. screenname says:

    367 – That was a reference to the Cranky drama a couple weeks ago. Where one mama asked for stalking help and her “friend” posted another thread asking for help with an incentive. Then they got all up in arms at each other. lol

  371. screenname says:

    The shorties with ❀ on them IIRC. People were saying that one deserved it over the other?

  372. adensmama says:

    Haha..that was funny.

  373. Messy says:

    #372? Which drama?

  374. diudiaole says:

    A large FB fits my 39lb DS on the largest setting and he wears 3T clothes still so I am thinking Messy needs an XL FB for her son

  375. adensmama says:

    #376 the drama about the toddler fitteds/ Angie’s testers? I guess I don’t know that story…

  376. JustPeachy says:

    Eh tell em to fuck off Messy. Or better yet head to walmart and buy em a pair of panties and tell em put them bitches on.

  377. Messy says:

    MY drama with her (which is uber important even though it is totally noncommental ROFL) is that she forgot me on her testers! Then offered me one… But her testers were forever being mailed out and she was banned from DS for questionable selling practices and something else, I forget! DS said no pink cookie congo advertising ‘cuz ya know, we are all losers who should not be allowed to discuss such intimate things @@ Lee’s a dillwad.

  378. Messy says:

    #379 Peachy I ❀ ya!!! I would totally but I already promised myself not to post in that thread again… The drama really had no purpose. That mama was never gonna get it; I was wasting my time and pissing people off. So, ehhh, I let it go.
    Kelolsen bitched about me bitching over here. Then posted on that thread that she KNEW I was no longer going to post on that I needed to move on… Ummm… Hello? I'm over here and the subject changed where's she been??? Oh, thinking of a way to tell me off… Eeek.

  379. Messy says:

    #379 I ❀ ya Peachy!!! Kelolsen took too long to think up her big ole "tell off" to me and had to post it over there since the subject was done here and we were talking diapers and she knew I was not posting on the CDN thread anymore. Kinda creepy…eeek.

  380. adensmama says:

    #380 ugh now I kinda remember that whole situation. That really sucks 😦 I did some customs for a couple mamas on DS and I got those puppies sent out within like a week of getting the paypal. You just shouldn’t be WAHMing if you can’t keep up IMO.

    Well I’m getting some OBF probably next week, so I will start working on a pattern and test it out with some flannel or something before I cut into the nice stuff πŸ˜€

    Email me his measurements so I have an idea, and I’ll email you my fabric gallery link so you can decide what you want πŸ˜‰
    thepinkleprechaun at gmail

    I gotta go to bed now!

  381. Messy says:

    #382 I will! I have to get them first… He was with daddy and now he is beat tired. By tomorrow I will have them. Also, I have no issues with flannel, it actually works pretty good… So what ever you wanna do!

  382. adensmama says:

    384 not a problem! I have to add some fabrics to my gallery tomorrow anyways so I don’t want to send you the link until I have updated it.

    I was just going to cut up some scraps to make a kind of “prototype” diaper like I did when I made my OS pattern. I guess I do have a bunch of OBV left too that I could use! Ok, seriously gotta go to bed. Will talk to you tomorrow though!

  383. Messy says:

    Gah! One post wouldn’t so I shorthanded it to a quicker note and then both are here… Now all the numbers are jumbled ROFL! I ❀ this blog! Ya never know what is going to happen πŸ˜€

  384. diudiaole says:

    Messy — Could you use an XXL pocket dipe, outer bright lime green, inner hot pink microfleece? It is velcro, but like 1.5 inches wide and pretty strong. E-mail me your mailing addy to acsuth at gmail dot com and I’ll put it in the mail for you.

  385. me says:

    360-Why the heck would someone tell the whole world that they are going to escalate and when? In no way can I figure out how telling the person that you are filing against that you are escalating is a good idea. I don’t understand why so many people do it!

  386. JustPeachy says:

    I never even hint at filing. I just do it with no warning because I am not about to be out money by giving them the chance to clear out their account.

  387. melmelly says:

    388-I have often wondered the same thing. It’s kinda like saying, “Hey! Guess what? I am going escalate so I can get my PP! Neener, neener, neener!!!” To me, all that says to the scammer is, “Whoa! I better clear out my account!”

  388. melmelly says:

    I see that Cakemaven and Spiffanda have appeared over on the lj d_d post. I wonder what they are going to do in terms of dealing with scammers?

    The mama that made the post said she got a “spanking” for outing her.

    Come on! Are they making the GM forum a mini DS?

    I signed up for their forum so I could sell my GM’s, but ended up not doing it on there. It drove me nuts and I just couldn’t stand to be sharing the same internet space as them. Most of them are like rabid dogs, only foaming at the mouth for the next hot print.

  389. JustPeachy says:

    Ooooh she is in michigan! Let me at her!

  390. melmelly says:

    I just don’t understand why people scam others. I was scammed in January by a friend of my sister. I am still pissed about it! I made her a custom diaper bag and she was going to send the check out. About two weeks later, when I still hadn’t received the check, I emailed her and asked her what was up. She claimed that it had been sent before she left the UK. So she was going to send me another check. That one should have gone out Feb 12. I still haven’t got either one. Surprise there!

    I also found out that she scammed my BIL too! They worked together (US Navy on a Royal Air Force Base in England) and she was the one in charge of something, but she never ordered my BIL’s. Took the money and ran. And I know that she got the bag because my sister saw her with it at the store!

    Pisses me off so bad! I have been tempted to do a JAR on her, but I don’t know what good it would do. All I know is that she is now in Virginia and has volunteered to got to Iraq because she wants to become a Captain.

    She has ignored my paypal invoice and reminders too! UGH!

  391. piratebaby says:

    A little late, but I am soooo considering some of those ‘up to the armpit’ dipes!!!! Ds is 6.5 mos old and all of a sudden keeps pooping up and out the back of his dipes. When he’s wearing a ‘mommy’ (aka cloth) diaper it is usually contained by the elastic in the back of the cover, but in a ‘daddy’ diaper (sposie) it’s literally up to the armpits. I’m quickly running out of clean covers, not to mention clothing. With the armpit dipe, he could go coverless and we would never have a mess!

  392. theinvisible says:

    kelolsen, that was lame. Just sayin.

  393. Foo-man-choo says:

    Anyone see this Preston’s Pants knock off? It’s one of the more obvious knock-off’s I’ve seen lately. Coleen is the only one I have seen do snaps like that. Paws fabric, embroidery on the bum, Even the tag shape and placement is a rip off. Pathetic copying.

  394. Madre says:

    396, I’ve never used preston pants but bebe douceur diapers are awesome.

  395. adensmama says:

    396 I’ve never used preston’s pants either but I hate copiers. Just like that one chick who outright copied BSRB and then tried to say that it wasn’t copying because “that kind of leg casing is common”. Well duh but you totally knocked off her pattern….

    Yeah, it’s HARD to come up with your OWN pattern that works. But if you can’t hack it maybe you shouldn’t be making diapers! Or buy one of the patterns that is already out there and get liscensed to make that.

  396. diudiaole says:

    the dipes from clothcurious have snaps like that and embroidery on the bum, but they otherwise don’t look anything like that.

    I’ve also never used preston pants — are they pockets?

  397. diudiaole says:

    has anyone noticed in the WAHM tester area on DS that there is one particular poster always saying the prices are too high? I could understand once or twice, but with the little I browse through there.. it is nearly every thread that has something her child could use..

  398. JustPeachy says:

    Some of them are high though. 25 bucks plus shipping for a tester chunkibunz? Isnt she the one that had the shitty sewing a couple months back?

  399. diudiaole says:

    I agree some are high, but I think it makes one look cheap/tacky to go around posting that on nearly every thread in the forum.

    I did a transaction w/chunkibunz… she was very nice, but it took nearly 3 weeks to get my package, she had told me it was being shipped ‘that day’ two different times till finally it showed up one day, postmarked just a few days before I got it.

    The stuff I got was nice however and I wasn’t in a rush so I considered it a positive… but I won’t be back for more.

  400. JustPeachy says:

    Oh good to know. Not that I was going to buy from her anyhow as I do not buy from wahms who have quality control issues.

  401. Incognizable says:

    @398 who is the bsrb wannabe? i must know to avoid!!

  402. adensmama says:

    #404 I think she calls her store “Kooshie Keister” or something like that. She started her store and then all the BSRB lovers got SUPER pissed, so then she started to add snaps to her diapers. As if that takes away from the fact that she totally ripped off Joyce’s pattern?

    Oh, and at first she was calling it cooshie tooshie and then found out that someone else already had an HC store by that name. So, basically no originality at all.

  403. Foo-man-choo says:

    This is a Preston’s Pants for the poster who was asking about them. She mostly makes pockets, but she does make a few other styles as well.

  404. Foo-man-choo says:

    The only difference I see between Bebe Douceur and PP is the pocket opening on the BD’s is in front. I do not see how she made that pattern herself and it just “happened” to turn out looking exactly like a PP.

  405. diudiaole says:

    wow it does look like it… has PP been around much longer than she has then?

  406. kitty1163 says:

    prestons pants has been around a looooooooong time.

  407. Foo-man-choo says:

    Yes Diu..PP has been around a really long time. I had never heard of BD until today. Anyone know how long she has been making diapers?

    I checked out the Cloth Curious site, and the snap placement is very similar to PP’s, but the overall diaper looks very different. These BD’s are blatant copies though, IMO.

  408. amessymama says:

    I actually kind of want to try a Kooshie Keister. *hides* I like the one BSRB I have, but rarely use it for fear of putting holes in it. I know, I’m weird. I just really like snaps.

    I haven’t done it, but it is tempting.

  409. Foo-man-choo says:

    OK- shameless promotion here…
    Shannon at Chuny Punky is has a lotto stocking on HC tomorrow. She just dyed some yarn for me and it was exactly what I wanted.(Mine are the top two recent custom colorways pictured in her listing) She is really nice, too. I enjoyed working with her:)

  410. JustPeachy says:

    Eh bsrbs arent all that. i dont know about the new ones but the ones arent much of OS. My skinny waisted dd outgrew the width on them before anything else.

  411. adensmama says:

    #412 that’s awesome! I’m going to enter for sure πŸ™‚

    #413…I like them but I agree they are too small.

  412. Madre says:

    410 she’s been making diapers a little over a year now. she’s really not the type to steal a design

  413. screenname says:

    I really like this set. I just wish that they put in that the shirt came from Wal-Mart’s clearance section. I know because I was looking at them in the clearance section a couple weeks ago.

  414. diudiaole says:

    I’m new to knit longies, but the gusset looks rather small to me.

  415. diudiaole says:

    somebody bought this? http://hyenacart.com/prod_details.php?id=67621&vid=2929

    the all boy congo has very low quality standards

  416. JustPeachy says:

    You shouldn’t judge an entire congo based on person’s crappy item.

  417. diudiaole says:

    if a congo allows shitty WAHM’s into their congo, doesn’t it mean their quality standards are low?

    It doesn’t mean there aren’t good WAHMs in the mix too — but letting a few shitty ones in makes the whole congo look shabby.

  418. mmspirit7 says:

    421 the do looks like they go in at the hip or just past it.

  419. JustPeachy says:

    Not necessarily. Maybe they just don’t realize how low caliber the person in question seems to come off. Why not drop em a line instead of picking apart everyone on the damn congo because you are bored.

  420. OhReally? says:

    adensmama, I have a question. What’s with the double standard?

    If you hate copiers so much and are going to bash other WAHMs for their lack of originality why is your store name so similar to one that’s been around since 2007?

    I’ve never posted on here before, but I was just wondering. And found it kinda odd no one seemed to care on a blog that enjoys outing copiers.

  421. Foo-man-choo says:

    415: Well her diaper design speaks for itself. No matter how long she has been making diapers, You can’t tell me she sat down and just happened to design a diaper that looks EXACTLY like a Preston’s Pants.

  422. uhoh says:

    #416 why does it matter if the shirt was on clearance or not?
    For that price that is a steal for knit shorties.

  423. diudiaole says:

    #423 if people ‘picking apart'(as you put it) WAHM workmanship bothers you so much maybe you should be on DS instead of this blog.

  424. theinvisible says:

    423 LOL The EF vibe this blog has taken on recently is baffling.

  425. screenname says:

    425 – It matters that it’s from Wal-Mart. Some people are against Wal-Mart and they should be informed that the shirt came from there.

  426. diudiaole says:

    It’s pretty ironic actually.. hand knit/crocheted longies and a Walmart t-shirt set lol

  427. Jez says:

    At that price I may have to stalk that Peace set. Thanks for pointing it out. I could care less about the shirt.

  428. diudiaole says:

    I guess a couple people on here have stocks in the All Boy Congo… it’s all good…

  429. diudiaole says:

    Oh wait it is “Oh Boy Congo”…

  430. kitty1163 says:

    can we remove the shitty diapers at the top of this entry? it’s aggravating to see them ever ytime i want to see what else has come up.

  431. bearista says:

    #415, she may have been making diapers for a year, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t been practicing w/someone elses design and is now selling it as her own.

    She has even flat out copied Colleen’s return polices, including font so I get the feeling she’s been studying PPs for sometime.
    Here is Bebedouceur’s policies

    Here are Preston’s Pants:

    I say if you’re going to copy someone, either pay for the rights to do it or don’t make it so freakin’ obvious 😦

  432. diudiaole says:

    I have a rep power of “7” on CDN even though I have 4 positive feedback… I guess it must be because I don’t post there much?

  433. nu says:

    So not right about what #434 posted.

  434. kukukachoo says:

    YES, 433- Great Suggestion! I’d love to see the Doo-Doo Dipes be gone too! At least a few less pics would be nice! Although- I guess it won’t be long till we’ll be moving on to some new drama!

  435. theinvisible says:

    I certainly hope so….(yawn).

  436. JustPeachy says:

    I have nothing against you saying the diapers are crap. I do however have a problem with you saying the congo is shitty because a few peoples stuff isn’t up to snuff. Its not like its contagious or something.

  437. diudiaole says:

    #439 — I think all I said was that they have low ‘quality control’… I meant as in low standards for who they let in as a WAHM not products in general.

  438. JustPeachy says:

    You insinuated it and thats where I have a problem. And then after you posted that you proceeded to pick apart another wahm who happens to be a member of that congo. So don’t try and backpedal.

  439. adensmama says:

    #424 I named my store for a reason, because my DD loves apples and before she was even a year old she couldn’t pronounce it right and she called them “bubbles” instead. I did an extensive search to make sure that nobody had a store with the same name as mine, BEFORE I applied for my HC store. her fitteds are completely different from mine, other than a slight similarity in the name everything else is completely different.

    The other mama copied the name exactly, as well as copying Joyce’s diaper pattern exactly.

  440. adensmama says:

    Also, haven’t you ever heard of Apple Bottom jeans? Are you going to tell me they should sue that WAHM because of her HC store name?

  441. diudiaole says:

    #441 – if your sister or your lover owns the congo I’m sorry that what I said offended you, but I don’t see where I’ve backpedaled at all…

    I have three boys still in diapers, so I was doing a little more than looking for shitty WAHMs(though I admit that quickly became a secondary directive after seeing that wonky ass later gator dipe!).

  442. melmelly says:

    443 Good call!

  443. JustPeachy says:

    I dont even care if you are looking for shitty wahms. By all means do so and call them out. However you attacked everyone on the congo by saying that their standards are low insinuating every one on the congo does shitty work. I know for a fact that most of the moms on that congo do excellent work. Just because you are bored does not give you the right to destroy another mom’s business on a whim.
    And thank you but neither my sister nor my lover nor anyone I am personally affiliated with is on that congo.

  444. OhReally? says:

    Ok, 442, so to make sure I’m totally clear on this it’s ok when you do it because you only copied part of her name and replaced one word with a very similar word?

  445. OhReally? says:

    And jeans and diapers aren’t similar products. πŸ˜‰

  446. diudiaole says:

    switch to decaf for fuck’s sake, peach — having fugly messed up items on the same congo *does* smear the reps of the good WAHMs on there.

  447. Monkey says:

    I don’t think the names are that similar anyway.

    I’m sorry, how are bottom and bubbles the same? They both start with a “b”. Similarity ends there.

    Is no one ever allowed to use Apple in a store name again because one mama already did. Jeez, somebody better tell all those mamas who use cloth/diaper/baby in their store name, they’re so all copying each other.

  448. Monkey says:

    I hate copying as much as the next person, but you are really stretching here. Only someone with poor hearing could mistake Apple Bubbles for Apple Bottoms. (And frankly, I think Apple Bubbles is a cuter name, the words have a nice flow because of the hard b’s and p’s). Both WAHM’s seem to have really nice products, but they both seem to have totally different styles so I doubt there could be any mix up. And it really just does not seem like there was any intent to copy or even capitalize on an already established name.

    And before you say it, I don’t know Adensmama from Adam. I think you’re trying to make a point about copying, but it’s just not a very strong one.

    Now the Preston’s Pants/Bebe Doceur thing looks bad because Bebe Doceur’s return policy is basically word for word the PP’s policy.

  449. Monkey says:

    And just to be clear, saying Apple Bubbles is a cuter name is not a slam against Apple Bottoms. It looks like Apple Bottoms has good quality, totally adorable merchandise, makes me wish I had a girl. I just happen to like the sound of the other name.

  450. OhReally? says:

    It’s called alliteration.

    At any rate, you all have pretty well proved what I suspected. This place is like a snarky version of DS. If you’re “in” you’re golden.

    Just found the irony interesting.

  451. theinvisible says:

    453 What are you talking about? Really, I’m not sure I’m following.

  452. OhReally? says:

    Alliteration. It’s why the names are similar.

    Google is an amazing tool if you don’t know what alliteration means.

  453. melmelly says:

    453 – ORLY?

    Why so snarky? Someone run out of milk for Cherrios this morning? Or did someone piss all over them?

  454. just_sayin says:

    Sorry, Apple Bottom and Apple Bubble ARE too similar. Especially since Apple Bottom are highly sought after. It would be like starting up Good Mommy Diapers. Too similar.

    Oh snap on the policy copier. Someone should let PP know.

    Having crappy WAHM’s in a congo does make the whole congo look bad. They should screen better. If I’m looking at a congo and I see crappy pics or crappy products, I just click on the next store and I dont even finish looking at the rest. I don’t have time to wade through crap just to maybe get to something that might be nice.

    Also, I hate congos that have too many WAHM’s. Keep at 5-10, please. Preferably around 5. I have shopping ADD and get bored about 1/3 of the way through and then move on.

  455. theinvisible says:

    Ok, bitch. I’m familiar with alliteration. I was talking about the comment you made about how we are just a snarky version of DS. Because I’m pretty sure the comments I’ve made today have been purely to lament the excess fluffy talk because I don’t give a fuck about diapers unless there is drama attached to them. I politely asked you to clarify your beef, that’s all.

  456. Monkey says:

    Actually it’s NOT alliteration. Alliteration is repeating the same consonant sound at the BEGINNING of a word. And alliterative store name would be “Dippy Diapers” or “Preston’s Pants”. But thanks for trying. Isn’t it sad when you’re attempt to belittle someone else backfire’s on you?

    That’s pretty presumptive of you.

    I don’t know Adensmama at all, I’m not trying to support her because we’re BFF’s or anything. I’ve seen her post a few times on here and that’s it. We’re not in some club.

    You’ve proven yourself to be rude and snarky. I’m sorry you disagree with my opinion, but I think it’s a bit much to imply that I’m part of some evil conspiracy spanning DS and the Drama blog. Paranoid much?

    And please explain to me what is ironic? I’m being neither deceptive nor hypocritical. I’m simply stating my opinion. I don’t think the names are that similar. I have no stake in this… it’s just my opinion.

  457. melmelly says:

    OhReally- You come on here all full of piss and vinegar and could still care less about what her explanation was.

    And now you feel the need to educate us on alliteration? Are you serious? Come one now. She said she had a reason for using “Apple Bubble”, but obviously you could care less about that. It’s not good enough for you, so why don’t you move along?

  458. Monkey says:

    damn… that should have been “your attempt”

    I really shouldn’t type annoyed.

  459. OhReally? says:

    Didn’t realize it was that hard to understand.

    “If you’re “in” you’re golden.”

    If the WAHM behind Apple Bubble Baby wasn’t active here you all know you would be ripping her to shreds for copying. But she is active here so it’s cool.

    At any rate, this isn’t my battle to fight. I just found the irony too interesting to not say something this time. I have a child that is far more deserving of my time than this blog.

  460. Monkey says:

    Neither of the store names are alliterative. So there’s not a lot of educating going on.

    Perhaps we can discuss palindromes next. Those are my favorite.

    A man, a plan, a canal, Pamana. Mom. Racecar.

  461. theinvisible says:

    What was that? It didn’t even make sense. I still don’t even know what her point was….

  462. OhReally? says:

    Alliteration is usually distinguished from the mere repetition of the same sound in positions other than the beginning of each word sound β€” whether a consonant, as in “some mammals are clammy” (consonance) or a vowel, as in “mellow wedding bells” (assonance); but the term it is sometimes used in these broader senses.[citation needed], Alliteration may also include the use of different consonants with similar properties (labials, dentals, etc.) or even the unwritten glottal stop that precedes virtually every word-initial vowel in the English language, as in the phrase “Apt alliteration’s artful aid” (despite the unique pronunciation of the “a” in each word) .

    Just to clarify.

  463. Madre says:

    wow…I dunno what to say

  464. melmelly says:

    462 – Gotta whip out the “child being more deserving” card! I love it. Of course our children are more deserving than this blog.

    Do you think we all open up a can of Coke and bag of Doritos and plop them in front of Nemo just so we can snark people?

  465. theinvisible says:

    And she pulled out the cliched “tend to children”. How stunningly original. So run along and do that then.

  466. JustPeachy says:

    Those arent palindromes. Hannah is a palindrome as is Anna.

  467. melmelly says:

    465 – Webster’s called. They said you’re fired.

  468. adensmama says:

    Ohreally, I have only been active on this blog for maybe the past week actually so you don’t know what you’re talking about.

    And as I already explained, I had a reason for naming my store what I did. I’m sorry if some people think it’s too similar, but apples are apples. I actually had never even heard of the other mama before I came up with my name and I only found out about her because I googled MY store name to make sure that no one else had it.

    Mama and Mommy are pretty much the same word. Bottoms and Bubbles have pretty much nothing to do with one another.

    I had no intention of copying her, or trying to “capitalize on her popularity”. Like I said I had no idea her diapers even existed!

  469. Monkey says:

    Oh, the “I have to see to my child” card. Nice. Fortunately my child is asleep.

    There is nothing alliterative or ironic here. If you’re going to use technical terms in an attempt to make yourself look smart at least use them correctly.

    My god, a monkey could use google to find out what these terms mean.

    And that’s right. We all have a secret handshake. I’m saying that the two names don’t sound that alike because Adensmama (whom I’ve never met or talked to) and I signed a blood pack to defend each other to the death. We sacrifice bunnies and Apple Bottoms diapers together at the full moon.

    Damn it. I hate being mean, but you are just being such a pink cookie.

  470. theinvisible says:

    I have no problem being mean what so ever. Fuck off and go back to the drawing board. When you come up with something witty or original to write (or maybe figure out the secret handshake) come back and try again.

  471. melmelly says:

    —— We sacrifice bunnies and Apple Bottoms diapers together at the full moon.

    Damn it. I hate being mean, but you are just being such a pink cookie.——

    OMG! My stomach hurts from laughing!

  472. adensmama says:

    And our children suffer so much because we’re always out sacraficing diapers and small animals, we should probably go watch them or something before CPS comes.

  473. Monkey says:

    Messy, are you talking to me? Those most certainly are palindromes.

    They’re the same backwards and forwards. I have a book of palindromes.

  474. theinvisible says:

    BTW, people who post here have ended up the subject of the blog. I can actually think of two right off the top actually. It’s no protection at all.

  475. adensmama says:

    My kids are both asleep too, thank goodness. They were both cranky today.

  476. just_sayin says:

    463, you listen to Riders in the Sky, huh? And it is a palindrome, look at the whole sentence (if Panama was spelled right). Like “Madam, I am Adam.” It’s a palindrome. And from Rider’s in the Sky, I didn’t come up with that on my own, lol.

  477. Monkey says:

    And the technical definition of alliteration, the way it was taught to me by teachers in high school and college is still similar beginning consonants. So I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.

    And that’s what the Oxford English Dictionary says as well.

  478. JustPeachy says:

    No racecar and mom are palindromes but canal plan and man are not. Not to get all in depth over here LOL.

  479. Monkey says:

    My guy was awesome today. Fortunately.

    I really shouldn’t type angry. πŸ™‚

    And I love Madam I’m Adam.

  480. JustPeachy says:

    Oh true. Didnt know that sentences could be palindromes.

  481. Monkey says:

    It really is though.

    I defer to google. I guess technically it’s a palindromic sentence.
    I really like this one as well, “‘Able was I ere I saw Elba'”

  482. just_sayin says:

    Rider’s in the Sky has this funny little song about Palindromes that is pretty clever. The whole thing is in palindromes. Here’s the lyrics: http://cowboyfrank.net/real/albums/Riders_In_The_Sky/Great_Big_Western_Howdy/Palindrome.htm

    Apple Bubble Baby person, I find it hard to believe that you had no idea about her diapers before you started your business. The big problem with the name is that diaper co. names are typically abbreviated, so her diapers are already known as ABB, and then yours would be too? That’s too similar. Sorry, it just is. It seems odd that you would want to make cloth diapers, and yet know so little about the market or your competition.

  483. just_sayin says:

    Sorry, I wasn’t clear on my last post, everything the Palindrome guy says is in Palindromes, not everyone else. That wasn’t very clear.

  484. Messy says:

    PAY ATTENTION BLOGGIES!!! OhReally? has deemed those of us that post here a lot to be “golden”! So, if we are always right and nobody can say anything else, she can get the fuck on down the road and go back to DiaperSuckers where you can get all the disagreeable information removed so it doesn’t hurt her pretty little head :::gagacat:::

  485. theinvisible says:

    gag a cat LOL

  486. adensmama says:

    #485 I knew plenty about the market, I have been cloth diapering for two years. I wouldn’t consider her competition per se, because her diapers are completely different. They are sized, they have snaps, mine are OS and have no snaps.

    If people want to use acronyms that is their choice, I never mandated that.

  487. Messy says:

    Ok, the first name that came to mind was “Apple Pie Baby” when adensmom said she was Apple Bubble Baby. I thought, “wow! Is that XYZ???” Because I liked the mama that owe(d)(s) Apple Pie Baby. Then it dawned on me, that it was *bubble… Ahhh… Apple Bottom never poked it’s head into my thoughts until someone else brought it up here.
    An apple is an apple. That is all they have in common…besides a baby LOL!
    Bubble and bottom are not even similar in sounds other than their starting “b”. Now if she was Apple Bum or some such (with a starting and ending similarity) then there *might be an issue.
    Otherwise, here, let me loan you a ladder and get over it.

  488. Crazy Mama says:

    # 421- Those shorties give new meaning to the term “hour glass figure” huh? lol

    As far as name similarities, there are tons of them in the WAHM world. A couple of examples…

    Apple Pie Baby
    Pumpkin Pie Baby

    Mookie Doodle Designs
    Mackey Doodle ( no idea if she’s still in business, I remember seeing her on DS once)

    Then there was the Bugga Bugga fiasco. IIRC the second WAHM still has a name very similar to Bugga Bugga Boutique.

    And if you confuse “Bubble” with “Bottom,” you’re a moron. But I imagine there is no shortage of those on DS.

  489. adensmama says:

    And NO, I did not know about her diapers. I did not copy her design, her store design, her colors, her logo, or anything of that nature.

  490. theinvisible says:

    I think it was changed to me and my buggabugga but it is kinda moot because it turned out she was a serious scammer. She was the one who said her son died and then her husband died in Iraq. Brandi IIRC. So no, no more WAHMing for her.

  491. adensmama says:

    Thank you 490 and 491.

    I would not have named my store ‘apple butt baby’ because that is basically the same meaning. Apples and babies are both very common though, and nobody has a copyright on them as far as I’m aware.

  492. Messy says:

    #480 Last semester I took advanced linguistics; alliteration is taught as being the beginning sounds. They do not hardly touch on any other positions the alliterations might take beyond the initial starting sounds. So, if we go with the modern American English, it is the starting sounds only.

  493. adensmama says:

    OMG 493 I think I remember that whole drama!

  494. theinvisible says:

    There are sooo many “close to” and “copy of” that unless it is really blatant and the copier sucks it really doesn’t even matter. Products speak for themselves.

  495. just_sayin says:

    But you’ve been diapering for 2 years? And you’ve never heard of her? And you’re starting a business and never heard of her? And if people use acronyms that’s their choice and not your problem?

    Honestly, I don’t care what you name your business. Name it Butt Genius for all I care, but own up to it instead of trying to make everyone else look like they’re the idiot. A more appropriate response would probably be that you knew that her diapers were there, but you though the products and names dissimilar enough that it was OK. Denying it makes you look like you don’t know what you are getting in to.

    Your stuff looks great, BTW.

  496. adensmama says:

    So…when you go to the “categories” in HC and look at the list of people selling CDs, Apple Bottom baby isn’t even on there, what’s the deal with that? Is her store still open?

  497. Messy says:

    Brandi was not buggabugga. I remember the buggabugga thing but it was not the scammer Brandi who said her dh died and her child and OMg. I did the hunting and could not out her on DS… Hello CDN! That bitch upset me a lot… I hate to have my feelings tricked!

  498. Monkey says:

    Do you wanna make out and be my semantic sexy sweetheart (that was alliteration)?

    Thank you sooooo much for posting that!

  499. just_sayin says:

    She’s in a congo: http://hyenacart.com/iCrave/

  500. Messy says:

    #501 YW! It is not often that I get to throw around any info I gain from those advanced English classes that I am addicted to! Monkeys make me mushy! Ok, bad alliteration LOL!!!

  501. adensmama says:

    #498 I’m sorry but I didn’t know about her stuff. You can think whatever you want, even if I had known about them that would still not have been the inspiration for my store name!
    I used to use only FBs and BGs, and I really got into fitteds in the past 8-ish months or so, although I tried a couple GMs maybe as much as a year ago. I have been sewing since my grandma started giving me lessons when I was seven, but I didn’t sew my first fitted diaper until right before DS was born in December.
    When I researched to make sure that nobody had the same name I vaguely remember seeing the other mama’s store, but I had never even heard of her before that. I thought oh well it’s not the same name at all, and I thought she only sold yarn or something, so I forgot about it until someone mentioned it on here.

    I have a big issue with people flat out copying other mamas patterns, because I know firsthand that it takes a LOT of work to make your own pattern. I just mentioned that the Kooshie Keister mama had the EXACT SAME NAME as another store so she had to change her name. Kooshie Keister is actually very similar to Cooshie Tooshie, they both have the exact same meaning but I have no issue with that. If someone uses the exact same name as someone else that could cause major problems. I did not do that, my name is different, and my products are also quite different.

  502. JustPeachy says:

    I call bullshit. Its not like she is some two bit wahm. She was and still is pretty damn popular.

  503. adensmama says:

    They look nice, I’ve never tried one.

  504. BffMama says:

    Seriously?! For FUCK’S SAKE. We need some new drama because this shit is just annoying. Tit for tat pisses me off and when it starts getting to be about grammar and shit, it damn near sends me over the edge.

    Everyone involved in the bitchfest about names of stores take a big ass deep breath and chill the FUCK OUT. Jesus H.

    I like stupid ass drama just as much as the next but when it’s taken to that bullshit tit for tat level (especially on alliteration and your/you’re) I say take the gloves off and start swinging at each other in the alley out back.

    Now I’m gonna go tend to my sweet baby boy and then I’m gonna come back and we are all gonna hug it out and start talking about fucking real douchebags like Stinky Couture.

  505. adensmama says:

    HAH! BTW you guys, I hope you know that I’m using asbestos interlock for the diaper inners. That’s not gonna be a problem is it?

  506. theinvisible says:

    Brandi was definitely meandmybuggabug. The call out thread on CDN has links to all of her user names there and on DS.

  507. magpiedpiper says:

    Okay, just popping in to say that I love ya’ll, and I think the stuff adensmama makes looks really cute! However, I do think there is a similar “sound” to Apple Bottom Baby and Apple Bubble Baby. And I think the “Apple Bubble” is really cute, as well as the reason for the name.

    BUT I do have to point out that people have jumped all over Snaps for the dundies/dunderwear thing and she had a ‘cute’ reason she’d said she had wanted to do for awhile for her name too.

    In no way defending Snaps or saying adensmama is like her, just that the name situation thing kind of is the same (minus the whole buy/copy thing snaps always does) but the reactions are different, you know?

    FWIW I totally don’t care about similar names myself.

  508. Messy says:

    #507 BFF, what the fuck??? Are you diss’in my discussion of alliteration??? I like to talk grammar and shit! Wanna fight about it??? That’s right (see, apostrophe after the “t”)… Let’s go! Take off the gloves… Ok, now go ahead and take off your shirt. There we go… Yeah. Ok, ummm… Might be more comfy fighting in our panties, so off with those jeans. Oh yeah… Now we will take turns on each other, hitting or what ever… Mmmhhhmmm. Werd is gonna be so jealous!

  509. adensmama says:

    I love apostrophe’s.

    Has anyone heard of the passive aggressive notes blog?

  510. Messy says:

    #509 You are right, I think… I remember her as being “emmasmama” or something ot that effect. And then my4littlemonsters on CDN. I guess I did not get the link between emmasmommy and buggabugga. That woman is a piece of shit no matter what name she is using.

  511. theinvisible says:

    True. Hers is one of the only un I actually remember besides Snap. She was the WORST ever. I’d kick her ass in a second IRL.

  512. Messy says:

    #512 Never heard of it, but I bet I would love it!!! Especially if BFF is spanking my ass while I read it πŸ˜‰

  513. theinvisible says:

    Oh, you’re right, her other un at DS was emmasmommy or something.

  514. adensmama says:

    OMG..it is the best. I found it when I was trying to find this shirt about misusing apostrophes that I remembered seeing somewhere. It makes me “LOL” for reelz.

  515. Messy says:

    #516 You know as sick as that batshit crazy bitch is, she is already back under another name scamming away on DS. She was addicted to the attention.. I’d love to just punch that bitch in the face. And I am not a violent person! But damn. Where is a runaway semi when you need one???

  516. adensmama says:

    Wow..that bad Messy? What did this buggabugga chick do?

  517. adensmama says:

    or emmasmommy or whoever she is.

  518. theinvisible says:

    Oh, now that is some drama…..do tell.

  519. adensmama says:

    *sits on edge of seat*

    *ponders getting ice cream out of freezer*

  520. diudiaole says:

    #522 — there is a blog on here somewhere — she made up a story about her DH being KIA in Iraq b/c everyone wanted to know where the fuck their packages were and she needed an excuse… she also claimed she had a 2 or 3 year old son with cancer as another excuse for not shipping and for getting people to buy her shit(like ‘handmade’ hairbows from walmart) and she doesn’t even have a son that age.

    She had a detailed post with how many times he was hot and where — it was all a lie! Then she said her sister in law posted all that by tapping into her wireless internet signal from a parking lot across the street from her house.

  521. JustPeachy says:

    The one about every time you use an apostrophe to pluralize a kitten dies?

  522. theinvisible says:

    That came out here right? There should be a thread around February detailing the whole sordid affair. Also, on CDN there is a thread in Bulletin Board called “My4monsters, inhere” or something close around the same time.

  523. BffMama says:

    Alright I’m back. And I’ve got the video camera all set up for the smack (on the ass) down between Messy and I.

  524. diudiaole says:

    not “hot” but “shot”…typo

  525. theinvisible says:

    Damn, so hard up for drama we are recapping. There has to be some dumb diaper shit going on somewhere in the world.

  526. Messy says:

    #519 I read this story about her son dying… Terribly sad. Then her living daughter had a horrible kidney (if IRRC) disease that required tons of medical help. Then to top it off she was pregnant and her dh died in Iraq. So many people were just torn up about it… But don’t worry, dumb bitch had time to bump her FSOT threads ::::coughwannasmackherinthefacecough::: So, I did overlook the stupid things she was doing and wanted to help her. I started digging to get info on her. Started with the date of her dh’s death so I could get her last name (it is all listed on a web site that chronicals those fighting in the war and the dates we lose soldiers, etc). Well, the date her dh died, not a single other soldier in Iraq died… Around that time there were a couple within days but from way different wounds than she said her dh had. It was all horrible.
    She was using these lies to scam people. I know people sent her money; others told her not to bother with her end of trades since she was in such turmoil; some people let her off the hook on scamming them by not sending their items; you get the idea.
    She is a fucking cunt in the worst way possible. It was a punch in the face to the families in the military and to those with sick children or who have lost a child. She pisses me off on so many levels that I swear, I would have beat her ass if I could have gotten to her. Break my heart and make me cry over lies??? BS! She is the Twatadallac of scammers; fully loaded with BS.

  527. BffMama says:

    Y’all know I’m kidding, right? I just sit back and watch most of the time and randomly insert my stupid ass comments which don’t relate to anything in an effort to diffuse any animosity or tension.

    I shall be referred to and known from here on out as BFF The Peacemaker. And after I get me some Messy action, I shall be BFF the Piece of Ass Taker.

  528. Messy says:

    Mmm BFF’s back! Bend on over baby!!!

  529. monkey says:

    On a completely unrelated note:\

    I have a Visa gift card and want to get some shorties made but I know jack all about yarn.

    What is the best weight/kind of yarn? And how many yards/ozs do I need to get shorties for a 21 lb baby with a 17 inch waist and 18-19 rise?

    Also, any recommendations for an affordable/available WAHM to knit them up?

  530. Messy says:

    Oh yeah, take that ass just like that oh yeah!!!

  531. monkey says:

    I believe Messy is mine. We’re already making sweet, sweet linguistics love.

    You’re going to need to give us a palindrome to join in.

  532. BffMama says:

    OMG–I bookmarked that passiveaggressivenotes.com before I even started reading, just because I had a feeling. BUT OMG, I’m seriously lmmfao.

    Good stuff.

  533. adensmama says:

    #529 holy shit. I do vaguely remember someone making up the fact that her husband died in Iraq, which is a totally fucked up thing to do in the first place. And then to pretend that your kid died too all because you didn’t mail out some packages????

  534. Messy says:

    LOL! That shit is funny!!!

  535. Messy says:

    I am totally into linguistic love making!!! The more the merrier! Oh yeah!

  536. adensmama says:

    #524, no that’s not the one but that is hilarious! I need to go look for it again now, I forgot about it because the PAN blog was so damn funny.

  537. adensmama says:

    Oh duh, it was on toothpastefordinner

    (apostrophe shirt)

  538. kitty1163 says:

    518: Do tell.

  539. Messy says:

    #541 I did… Post 529. Others added info too.

  540. BffMama says:

    Ohhhh geezzz z I’m laughing my ass off…thank you for this link. I was all caught up on thedirty.com and I needed a new place to spend my free time when my LO is asleep and I’m lamenting the fact I am unmarried and haven’t had sex in a while.

  541. theinvisible says:

    Is that an Ostrich?! That will haunt my dreams tonight.

  542. adensmama says:

    Hehehe I’m glad ya like it 543

    This is my fav of all time (so far)

  543. kitty1163 says:

    543: Sorry. I was catching up and didn’t refresh and when I got on again, everyone had told.

  544. Messy says:

    ROFLMAO! Ok, my new siggy… Is it Peach’s “everytime you use an apostrophe to pluralize, a kitten dies!” or adensmama’s “what would Jesus do for a Klondike bar?” LOL!!!

  545. adensmama says:

    LOL 548 I have seen another mama on DS with the apostrophe one so I would go for the 2nd πŸ˜‰

  546. monkey says:

    Darn it. I really want a pair of baby shorties that are denim colored.

  547. mmspirit7 says:

    any one know of a store name Elemental Seasons ??? if not I have dibbs

  548. mmspirit7 says:

    Well i googled and didn’t fined anything hmm…

  549. mmspirit7 says:

    I killed the blog….sorry i will go away now

  550. Thud says:

    OK, wading in way late here, but I wanted to say to Peachy that the individual vendors on a congo DO reflect on the whole. Poor quality in one or two makes you wonder why the others accept it, if they don’t see it, or don’t care~ none of which instills confidence in a buyer.
    Look at the popular congos, the long lasting ones~ they challenge one another to excellence.
    Sorry, but in the case of congos it really can be a case of lying down with dogs and getting up with fleas.

  551. Cheesewhiz says:

    Wow, I have missed a lot. Those are disgusting. Now to go back and read all 500-something comments…;)

  552. amessymama says:

    Monkey, I saw some denim colored shorties somewhere in-stock today. Let me see if I can find them.

  553. monkey says:

    That would be awesome!

    DH LOVES blue jeans and woolies (I have the best husband ever!) and I think it would be super adorable if DS had denim woolies. I bought the two of them matching shirts and want to do a little matching set thing. Plus denim colored woolies would go with anything.

  554. Aj says:

    Yeah, back to the Oh Boy Congo… I will never buy from there because of the bad shortie fiasco, and the general bad work of a lot of items on there.

    I was excited when it first opened, but it has soured for me.

  555. Laura says:

    Man, I come here to ge caught up on drama but instead I get an English class. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in school girls and I’m not looking for a refresher course.

  556. Aj says:

    Oh, and crazy’s back with a new sob story. Seriously, what do you say to this lady? Maybe she should sign over her rights.

  557. Messy says:

    #559 If people are talking about something, isn’t it a tad rude to come along and complain about a conversation that you are reading after the fact and were not involved in? Seriously, we were killing time chatting and comparing English notes. Don’t like it? Skip over it. I don’t need someone to tell me what to talk about… (Mental flashback to SNL “discuss among yourselves”.)

  558. Messy says:

    #560 I’d love to post to her comment of: “He is just so trusting of strangers- but when it comes time for him to be around people he knows he freaks out…. ”
    Yeah. If I had to be around her all the time or in the situation they live in, I would freak out too!!!

  559. Cheesewhiz says:

    Ok, only down to comment #138, but I REALLY REALLY have to say HOW DARE YOU WHITE NINJA?

    Carry on.

  560. monkey says:

    Why is discussing English terms so horrible? We enjoyed it. It may have started out pissy, but it ended engaging and fun. It’s over. Everyone’s moved on to drama, and in my case, shorties.

    Although I just read a neat article on synecdoche if anyone is interested.

  561. Messy says:

    #563 ??? #138 is me. Did I say something wrong? I hate to have the yeller dong upset at me 😦

  562. Aj says:

    Messy, I know! Really, what does that say for your parenting ablilities if your 3 yo would rather hang out with strangers? It’s kinda scary!

  563. Messy says:

    #564 ME!!! I wanna read it!!! Nobody in my house even knows (or cares) what synecdoche even is 😦

  564. Messy says:

    Monkey, I have some longies made in denim Patton’s. They are about a size 3-4T. What size do you need?

  565. amessymama says:

    Monkey, here is one. They are crochet so I don’t know if that will work. They may also be too light to look denim.

    This mama’s work is impeccable. I just got a pair of tunisian crochet shorties from her, the Ruth ones, they are amazing.

    I’m almost positive I found a knit pair too. If I find them I’ll let ya know.

    Sorry to get all Extra Fluffy on you all.

  566. monkey says:

    I got an interlock and shirt set from the Oh Boy congo as a gift. It was fine. I mean, it wasn’t like amazing sing to the heavens awesome, but it was well made and cute. I really want that congo to be awesome because it is soooo hard to find cute boy stuff.

    But I do understand what people are saying about one bad WAHM reflecting poorly on the rest of the congo…

  567. Cheesewhiz says:

    No, Messy…138 was just as far as I got before I had to tell off whiteninja, because she was seriously making me ill.

    I ❀ you Messy! K, now to go back and catch up some more…lol

  568. Messy says:

    ❀ Yeller Dong ❀

  569. monkey says:

    DS is 14 months, he weighs about 21 lbs and has a 17 inch waist. I’m not too sure but I’m guessing 3T is too large for him (since I buy all my baby clothes in Korea I’m not as clear on sizes as I should be).

    Those are super cute… maybe a little bit lighter than I’d like, but it may be the closest I can get. I don’t mind crochet, I have a pair of crocheted longies and they work well.

  570. monkey says:

    Messy, maybe 3T isn’t too large. I was looking up the weight limits and it looks like some stuff in that size falls into his weight. He’s very tall and skinny.

  571. Messy says:

    Monkey, the ones I have fit my 40 lber and also my 7 yr old (who is not a lot bigger). I think the inseam is 14″.

  572. monkey says:

    Wow Messy. I’m thinking those are probably way too big as DS is barely 21 lbs! I could fit two of him in there!

  573. Messy says:

    Yeah. They are pretty big and roomy… But I had to ask.

  574. monkey says:

    I appreciate it! I can see him wandering around being all hobo/gangster baby with his diaper hanging out the back!

  575. Messy says:

    #578 ROFLMAO!!!

  576. Bloggitybloggity says:

    If any knitting mamas are still on here, can I get your opinion?

    I got these longies a couple months back. The day I got them I tried them on my daughter. She wore them for about an hour as some unexpected company interrupted our fluffy-mail time. By the time the hour was over I realized the crotch was split.

    I emailed the knitter and told her about the crotch. She apologized and said that if I’d send them back to her she would fix them right away. Honestly I was so busy with a bunch of crap at the time I forgot about it. I was just going through my DD’s room today and I found them again.

    My question is: Considering the style of the longies and gusset (or lack thereof) would it even be worth paying the shipping back to the mama to have them fixed? Will they always have a tendency to split open or can knitted longies like that really hold up to the rigors of being worn by a toddler? I honestly don’t want to waste another few dollars on sending them back if it won’t even help.

  577. DSDM2 says:

    I just posted a new blog. Just giving a heads up.

  578. Aj says:

    Whoa bloggity, no offense, but those are pretty fugly…I hope you didn’t pay too much for them!

  579. Messy says:

    Bloggity, why are the ends and such not weaved in? Is it a new WAHM?

  580. Meghan says:

    Yeah, bloggity, did she not weave the ends in? Did she really just tie a knot and cut the yarn? That makes me twitchy.

  581. Aj says:

    Seriously, those longies make me want to cry! The legs look like they’re different lengths, there is no waist, and don’t even get me started on the pooling!

  582. diudiaole says:

    those longies look pretty bad 😐

  583. Bloggitybloggity says:

    Bwahahahaha….. Sorry. I should have given a bit more info. I’m honestly afraid to, though, because I don’t want to hurt the woman’s feelings.

    She’s not a WAHM, persay, but I know that there were several other DS mamas that were on her “list.” She was doing some cheap longies to be nice and to keep herself busy during her DH’s deployment. It took such a long time for her to get to me (like 5 months,) that I’d really forgotten about it by the time she did. Then she never really made much contact after we discussed yarn… and all of the sudden she popped up with a PM saying they were done. The pic was sideways and they did look super wonky… but I was thinking that maybe she hadn’t blocked them yet or something. Then they arrived and they still looked like that, but I thought that maybe I could wash them and block them into some sort of normal shape myself… and then the crotch split.

    I didn’t pay much ($20) but I’ve gotten lots of longies from FSOT in that price range that were wearable and really cute too. I’m well aware that they are fugly, but I hate that they are just sitting here screaming to me that I blew $20 on crap. KWIM?

  584. diudiaole says:

    I would say frog them and get someone else to knit that yarn… do they even fit on your child?

  585. monkey says:

    Urgh, I should go to bed.

    I hate it when there aren’t good pics of something I’m interested in.

    I kind of like these shorties: http://hyenacart.com/prod_details.php?id=64789&vid=1898

    But it’s hard to really see them from the picture.

  586. monkey says:

    Also, I don’t know jack about knitting so I never know if lwoolies are wonky or just laid funny.

    I’ve been really fortunate that I got all my longies from totally reputable, talented WAHM’s and they’ve always been awesome.

  587. Bloggitybloggity says:

    588- Surprisingly they did. (Gotta love the miracle that is stretchy knit!) Of course, the fact that there is no hip allowance or gusset could be the reason why the crotch busted open.

    The rise is a little long and the legs are a little short, though. The inseam fits for now, but by the time I get them back they could very well be too short to wear. I mean, she didn’t bother to ask me if my DD had grown from the original measurements I’d provided MONTHS earlier. *rolls eyes*

    Eh. It’s stupid. I should just throw them back under the pile of clothes that they’ve been hiding in for the past 2 months.

    I guess I was just hoping that they might be worth salvaging. I know that certain patterns (like Crankypants) have small gussets and work just fine… I didn’t know if maybe it was possible to have them fixed to a wearable condition despite the non-existent gusset.

    (And yes, I realize that it may be considered blasphemy to mention Crankypants within the same paragraph as these turdish wonders. But it couldn’t be avoided, so please forgive me πŸ˜‰ )

  588. Bloggitybloggity says:

    590- Well, if you pay $50+ to have something knit, you can be pretty sure that you’ll receive a great product. (Most of the time.) I’m a broke cheapskate, so I can’t do that. I usually stick to scouring FSOT and Spots for crazy deals on decent wool. I get fairly lucky that way, and it suits my cheap-ass needs just fine. LOL

    *SIGH* I should have just told her that I wouldn’t pay (even such a relatively small amount ) for those beauties… but I couldn’t do it. I felt bad for her and I was really hoping that they weren’t as bad as they seemed. I was wrong. Lesson learned πŸ˜›

    Maybe I’ll frame them and hang them on my wall as a reminder that I am a sucker and a dumbass. At least they would serve a purpose then. Ha!

  589. screenname says:

    Big thank to the person that posted the passive aggressive blog. Highlight of my NIGHT!!!

    The heart makes it priceless!

  590. monkey says:

    Wow. I’ve never paid $50 for wool. I’ve gone with reputable but not insanely popular WAHM’s. I’ve gotten multiple pieces from the WAHM at Fair Trade Family on HC and they’ve all been awesome and you absolutely cannot beat her prices. I got an awesome pair of striped Peace Fleece longies from her for $20. (I know a lot of mamas don’t like Peace Fleece, I love it.)

    Since I have this gift card I’m going to splurge a little…

    I have a custom diaper I should frame to remind myself to always read reviews!

  591. monkey says:

    THis is pretty, but I don’t know if it’s $70 pretty. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=25718996&ref=fp_feat_3

  592. Bloggitybloggity says:

    594- That’s awesome! You gotta link? πŸ˜€

    I’ve gotten some cute custom (in Paton’s wool) knit longies for about $25 a pair, but they were from Black Tree Knits when she was just starting out. I’m sure she charges more now.

    I shouldn’t have assumed reputable, meant pricey, though. Sorry πŸ™‚

  593. Bloggitybloggity says:

    But really. I would never have seen a FSOT post for my lovely longies and gone “ZOMG– I have to have those!” Heck, I wouldn’t have even paid $10 (the cost of the wool) for them. I’ve paid about $20 for gently used longies done in MM and other “good” yarns… and they have all been shaped like a pair of baby pants… unlike my fugs 😦

    I got these knit longies today for $10. They aren’t drop-dead gorgeous… but they make my busted-crotch gems run and cry.

  594. Bloggitybloggity says:

    595- Um yeah, that is pretty. And for $70 it better have 10 identical friends that come with it πŸ˜‰

  595. GMLovah! #1 Fan says:

    Some thoughts:
    When I saw Apple Bubble Baby on the stocking calender, I IMMEDIATELY thought of Apple Bottom Baby. Way too similar. Sorry.

    Oh Boy congo- seems like they took whomever posted on their “We’re starting a congo!” thread without checking out quality first.

    Bloggity- I’m so sorry, those longies are baaad, man. No waistband or crotch gusset or leg cuffs of any sort. They’re like one long tube that turns into 2 long tubes. The hole in the crotch is kind of the reason that gussets were invented. 😦 I’m shocked that someone could knit for months and not figure out how to do a simple 2×2 ribbed waistband or a simple gusset. That’s some amski shit right there!

  596. Bloggitybloggity says:

    I was a little confused by the quality as well. This whole thing started back in September. I got my longies in March or April. There were several ladies in front of me… How is it that she hadn’t figured out how to knit in all this time? I dunno. Nobody else left her bad feedback or anything. I’m assuming they all were in the same boat as me 😐

    And (where’s that chair-hiding smiley when you need it) I have to agree about the Apple Bubble vs. Apple Bottom dealio. That’s not saying that I’m gonna start a riot about copiers or that the new ABB doesn’t have some super cute stuff… It just is what it is. You see one and it’s hard not to think of the other. I probably would have called my store “Apple Bubbles” and left the “Baby” out, but that’s just me (and I’m no WAHM πŸ˜‰ )

  597. amessymama says:

    When I saw Apple Bubble Baby, my first thought was that it sounded kind of like Apple Bottom Baby.

    Not once did I actually confuse the two, though.

    What do people think is going to happen? All the people that LOVE Apple Bottom Baby dipes are going to get confused with the whole ABB thing and run to Apple Bubble Baby and start buying all of her very different diapers instead.

    Nah, I give most consumers a little more credit than that.

  598. monkey says:

    She also makes super adorable crocheted food.

    I can never seem to find wool that will fit DS FSOT. Granted he’s a tall, skinny monkey with long legs.

  599. Bloggitybloggity says:

    601- That’s where I fail to see the problem. They are selling two completely different types of diapers. Apple Bottom Baby diapers seem to stand alone even among the rest of the snapping fitteds. There’s really no way to confuse them with Apple Bubble Baby’s snappiable fitted diapers. Now if adensmama had decided to name her store Buckshot Rain Bamboo, I prolly would have been the first to call foul… But the whole Apple Bubble vs. Apple Bottom doesn’t seem to be that big of a deal. Her quality will have to speak for itself, and in the end that’s how it is for all WAHMs

    In any case, I could care less how similar the names are. Ijust wanted to point out that it’s really difficult not to make the connection. But who cares? There are a lot of similarly named products and stores in the cloth diapering world. It’s all some variation of diapers, butts, and babies… Why? Because that’s what it’s all about. I mean, you could name your new diaper store “Cat-horse, Fizzle-pants” but it won’t make much sense and it likely won’t appeal to the select group of consumers that are out to purchase this particular type of product.

  600. Bloggitybloggity says:

    602- Thanks for the link πŸ™‚

  601. GMLovah! #1 Fan says:

    Weird, Bloggity. Someone should be semi-decent at knitting after all that time. And that’s assuming that she was brand new in September. And of course I am dying to know who it is. I hope you told her about the hole. Maybe she’ll realize that there’s a reason that most longie knitters do some sort of gusset. They’re not just for decoration, LOL.

  602. amessymama says:

    β€œCat-horse, Fizzle-pants”

  603. amessymama says:

    Oh and I think we found the name for our new fugly congo!

    I’m still laughing.

  604. monkey says:

    Glad to help. πŸ™‚ Besides, she was amazing to work with so I love to give her good word of mouth.

  605. monkey says:

    Bloggity… I just bought one of the woolie slots from Fair Trade Family (I bought my own sales pitch!). I sent her an email 25 minutes ago and she has already responded! Awesome.

    Now I need to find some yarn…

  606. Bloggitybloggity says:

    I did let her know about the hole (way back when the funky-pants arrived) and she seemed duly embarrassed and told me to send them back right away so she could fix them. In my disappointment, that “to-do” project got set on the back burner… until I forgot about it. I just unburied these gems in an organizing fury and I was trying to decide what to do. I posed the question here because I didn’t want to hurt her feelings… but I wasn’t so sure that it would even be worth it for her to fix the non-gusset.

    I think I’ve deduced that it would *not* be. haha

    Here is her thread… She’s a real sweetie, though. I think she has the best of intentions.

    LMAO!!! There are so many talented WAHMs that deserve to be a part of Cat-horse, Fizzle-pants… Where do we start?

    That’s some on-the-spot CS. I will definitely have to look her up when I’m ready to buy some crochet longies!

  607. Foo-man-choo says:

    610- ROFL!!! I love it! Especially the last line… “I can sew the crap out of some stuff”

    Oh, good times, lol

  608. Bloggitybloggity says:

    OMFG– I didn’t even notice that!!! I am in tears laughing over here!

    When I went looking for the thread I wasn’t expecting to see the other stuff. It started out as a charity list for people wanting affordable woolies. Apparently she’s branched out! Oh well… at least she’s keeping busy. She started the knitting to distract herself while her DH was deployed. (Which is partially why I feel bad saying anything.)

  609. diudiaole says:

    Ok, ladies, I’m torn between a few names for my new HC(selling my wonderful knit items and such)… how does Stanky Couture sound?

  610. diudiaole says:

    I just have a question though, for the Apple bubble dipes and also those sticky peas fitteds and any similar dipe– how are you all selling them for $23 and $25 and still making money for your time when you’re using HTF prints, bamboo fabrics and T&T which takes like 3+X longer than a serged diaper?

    Maybe I am just really slow… but a diaper like that would probably take me a couple of hours(and more like an entire day since I’d have to stop so many times taking care of my 3 LOs). I guess it depends on your pattern, but a yd of bamboo should yield 6 cuts.. you need two for each dipe… let’s say the bamboo is $14.50 p/y ppd … so that is about $5 in bamboo into the diaper, then you need a FQ of some HTF print which will cost you from $3ppd at the cheapest..so let’s say another $4… plus the bamboo for all the soaker layers and notions — another $3… I get $12… minus $23 = $11 / 2 hours = $5.50 per hour of HARD work making it perfect etc.

    Of course you can eventually purchase rolls of bamboo, but with the high shipping it is still going to be like $10 per yard… so what you’re eventually making $8-$9 per hour… are those good artisan wages? 😦 Of course, you may all be super quick and get them done a lot faster… but still I totally get why a few of those sought after WAHM(Elbees, SC etc) price their dipes the way they do.

    Phew… did all that naking lol

  611. Bloggitybloggity says:

    I don’t get it either! I totally respect any WAHM that turns out an amazing product and sells it for peanuts in comparison to the work they put into it. Then of course there are those folks that churn out turds like there’s no tomorrow and then look around wondering why every talks about how hard it is to run a WAHM business. *gag*

  612. diudiaole says:

    I think a lot of us have askew ideas about how much handmade items are worth… we’re so damn used to paying Walmart prices, something handmade priced at what it is worth seems outrageous… same with the cost of food… real organics and family farm grown stuff seems soooo expensive… but the reverse is true, the factory farmed stuff is priced uber cheap.

    Ugh I am so guilty of this myself, I want to stop… ahhh then I realize I’m dependent on this way of living. I would love to move off the grid one day and try living sustainably…

  613. Bloggitybloggity says:

    Oh that is my DREAM. I would love to completely drop of the grid and start a self-sustaining commune in some out-of-the-way place like Montana. People think I’m kidding, but if I ever had like a million dollars dropped in my lap, that’s totally what I would do. lol

    Unfortunately, right now we’re too broke to do anything but survive. Which means that I have to buy into the whole cheap-crap perpetual cycle. It sucks 😦 My DH works and Wal-mart and we end up spending 60% of his checks there. It makes me sick.

  614. diudiaole says:

    A lot of us are in the same boat… I’m starting to sew a few things for my kids instead of purchasing the Walmart equivalent…plus the cding.. but yeah, I do most of my grocery shopping at Walmart too.

  615. Bloggitybloggity says:

    It pisses me off when hoity-toity folk are all: “I would neeeveeer shop there. Don’t you know what you’re doing to the economy???” Quite clearly they have no clue what it’s like to actually struggle. You gotta do what you gotta do when it comes to providing for your family. I wish I could afford to stand on the moral high-ground all of the time… but there are occasions where I just can’t.

    On a side note: I’m kinda glad that I’ve been forced to become more frugal and thrifty. I recently started making my own wheat tortillas and they are so freaking yummy! I dread it when I don’t have the time to do it and we have to use store bought. LOL

  616. diudiaole says:

    Hmmm those sound good, bloggity — recipe?! One of my ‘budget gourmet’ staples is any kind of cheap cut of meat(beef or pork) — boil until extremely tender… then making a roux w/some butter and oil and flour — make a gravy sauce w/the broth(or you can do milk and make a ‘cream’ sauce if there isn’t much broth) and then add back all the meat — so delicious over toast, pasta, rice, potatoes… would be great w/tortillas too.

  617. amessymama says:

    610-Not only can she sew the crap out of stuff, apparently she can knit perfectly good yarn INTO crap!

  618. adensmama says:

    I order my fabric in bulk, which is often less than $10 per yard. If you buy a whole roll you aren’t going to be paying that price, and you might just get free shipping too!
    The turned & topstitched diapers DO take me a while to make, but I am faster now than when I first started making them. The other thing is that my diapers only have two snaps, on the soaker. I imagine something like a piddle poddle would take a while to position all the snaps right and press them in, even if it’s faster to serge than T&T.
    As for the knit fabric, usually I don’t purchase that in fat quarters. Most of the fabric in my gallery is popular but not VHTF, there are several co-ops and other options out there to purchase fabric. I do have a couple HTF diaper cuts that I’ve found on DS and various other places, but those would be few and far between. I am definitely not paying $3-5 just for the knit for every diaper I make! I think the cheaper fabric I get balances out the more expensive HTF stuff so it all averages out in the end. And I’m always online so sometimes I find cool stuff on sale πŸ˜‰
    I decided to start my prices low. If I started out right off the bat charging $35 per diaper, would I have any customers? Probably not! I’m not going to say I would never raise my prices in the future, especially if supplies start costing more, but I have no intentions of ever charging that much.

    For me, and I assume for some of the other mamas (sticky peas, etc.) it’s more about doing something that I enjoy and making customers happy. Also I’m getting out of the military this winter, and I’m going back to school at night when DF is home. At least this way I might be able to make some extra money to help with bills and I don’t have to pay a babysitter to watch my kids so I can make $10 per hour working part time kwim?

  619. JustPeachy says:

    #619 so true. I swore up and down I would never spend money at walmart. However our paychecks got smaller and my kids got bigger so it was either by them one pair of shorts each and hope to hell somehow some extra money popped out of thin air or buy 2 pairs of shorts for the same price for each of them at WM.

  620. adensmama says:

    Whoa…isn’t this the mom who “travels the country in a trailer”????

  621. diudiaole says:

    Hmmm I get it… just with so many WAHMs out there content to make just a few dollars per hour for their time it pretty much weeds out most people hoping to make a living. Not that that is your problem, I just personally find it slightly discouraging when I fathom having to provide for myself and my children on my own(that do not do well in daycare).

    I’d be interested to know where you find free shipping on rolls of fabric, I have never heard of that. Even my cute not HTF co-op knits cost me about $10 to $12 per yard after shipping is accounted for, so that is where I got the $3 per/FQ estimate.

  622. adensmama says:

    #625 not the knit fabrics, just the bamboo ones. I think most of the co-ops I’ve participated in were anywhere from $5-7 per yard, not counting the shipping.

    I know what you mean though, I’ve seen plenty of WAHM threads on DS or even stuff for sale on HC that I’ve though man, how are they even paying themselves to make that stuff?

  623. mmspirit7 says:

    624 i believe that is the same one.

  624. adensmama says:

    #627 I thought so. She is an odd one…that whole post made it seem like she lives in a house.

  625. mmspirit7 says:

    yeah it seems she has a new drama every week.

  626. diudiaole says:

    #626 — what co-op has bamboo fabrics for $5-$7ppd?! I’m in a very large and reputable co-op, buying by the yard mine wind up costing about $11.50 per yard after shipping. If you buy by the roll it can go down as low as $7.85 *before* shipping and only after you have purchased 3 whole rolls in one year — the shipping adds on another $1.50 or so per yard for one roll.. .leaving the cheapest you can get it around $9.35PPD per yard after purchasing at least 135 yards in the same year.

  627. diudiaole says:

    She is considering ‘signing over her rights’ due to her 2 year old throwing fits and getting into things? I totally don’t believe she has a SN child when totally normal behavior from a non-SN child gets her to that point. Of course, if her sn child is getting bed sores because is stuck in a pen all day then I could be wrong. I call BS on the living in a 5th wheel too… somebody bump her thread where she posted those huge bathroom pics of the kid’s bath and master bath — write something innocent about what a nice 5th wheel they have! lol

  628. diudiaole says:

    #630 wait I believe the prices I quote were after purchasing 6 rolls in one year so double those yardages lol I need to look again at the bulk ordering page….

  629. diudiaole says:

    ok wait I misread — too much going on over here! You said $5-$7 *before* shipping… still that is way cheaper than I have ever seen it, would like to know where I can get some for those prices.

  630. theinvisible says:

    I have found (several times, unfortunately) better deals outside of co-ops. There is nothing worse that paying and the next day finding out that there was a better price. I don’t bother anymore. Between shipping, co-op fees and the looooong wait times for delivery, I have found it’s not worth it. There is a lady on ebay doing HTF fabrics for like 6.50 a yard. And there is definitely OBV and OBF for close to 7 out there.

  631. Bloggitybloggity says:

    Here ya go! They are sooo yummy, and definitely worth the work.

  632. Bloggitybloggity says:

    Exactly! I used to prefer not to shop at Wal-mart because I could find clearance stuff at other stores for way cheaper than Wal-mart. But now? There really is no other place that I can buy articles of clothing for $1-$2 apiece. That just can’t be beat. My kids come first, and (unfortunately for me) my pride isn’t anywhere close behind them.

  633. adensmama says:

    #630 I was talking about the knit prints for $5-7 before shipping costs, but I do get bamboo fabrics for $7/yd and free shipping, email me and I’ll let you know where to look.
    Unfortunately it does take a LOOOONG time after you order the fabric for it to get to you, which is a complete PITA.

    #634 that is one of the things I really hate about fabric co-ops. Especially for knit prints it’s annoying to wait and it seems like they take forever to ship it!

  634. adensmama says:

    #636 I remember getting a shirt at Wal Mart when I was about 11-12 years old. It cost $5.95 or something like that and I thought it was a luxury! My mom always took us to Goodwill.

  635. ~*~Momma~*~ says:

    adensmama, share with me, too πŸ˜‰

  636. adensmama says:

    It is only in bulk though ladies remember!

    I get my bamboo fabrics from this yahoo group:

  637. JustPeachy says:

    I bought the girls a bunch of tees from there last year for 5 bucks a pop. Even my faves Target and Kohls are at least 6-7 dollars a piece. I bought the baby 2 cute tees for 3 bucks a piece. I really hate to think about driving people out of business and all but my kids need clothing and I need to pinch my pennies where I can. Wouldn’t be so bad if the two olders weren’t in the same damn size.

  638. Bloggitybloggity says:

    ZOMG! I just caught that. I think I almost peed my pants. Too fucking funny!

    I agree. It makes me feel bad. I wish I could support small businesses more and help topple the Wal-mart empire, but providing everything my family needs is way more important to *me* at this juncture of my life.

    I shop end of season clearance sales at Wal-mart and get lots of wardrobe staples for super cheap. Tops between $1-$3. Jeans between $3-$5. I don’t think I paid over $5 for a single pair of my DD’s school jeans this past year. Heck even when I had money I loved finding a good deal… but now I have to make a career out of it. Goodwill isn’t a bargain for me. They charge more for nasty stuff than I would pay for brand-new clearance stuff… so I continue on with my Wal-mart shopping habits.

    And I should mention: I dress my children fairly well, IMO. They don’t leave the house looking like orphans in mis-matched, oddly sized, stained-up clothing. I have OCD and I cannot tolerate such things. LOL! So what I’m saying is that you don’t have to be trashy or look trashy to buy things on the cheap and save money. People constantly compliment my girls on their clothing… and I think half the time they don’t even realize where the stuff came from. (Of course it’s because I tend to stay away from gaudy stuff and most of their things are from the previous season. haha)

    My DDs are 5 years apart, but my ODD is such a tiny thing, and my YDD is quite a “healthy” girl, I’m afraid that they may share the same size some time in the not-so-distant future. Half of the stuff I’d saved from my first DD doesn’t even fit her sister.

  639. JustPeachy says:

    it really sucks because I ha dhoped one would be the next size down so that way hand me downs. I guess I should expect that given they are only 13 mos apart LOL.
    And I so get what you mean. I tried shopping at salvation army a few times for pants for my older girls and found nothing that would’ve been appropriate for school. And even at the resale shops like once upon a child the stuff they sell is crap or very gaudy.

  640. Messy says:

    I have 3 that are less than 2 yrs apart. My 9 yr old and my 9.25 yr old both wear the same exact sizes in everything. My 7 yr old wears the same size shirt as they do as well @@ I can’t win. By the time those three get done trashing their clothes, I have nothing to pass down.
    My 13 yr old ds wears dh’s oversized t-shirts all the time. My 15 yr old dd wears all my clothes. I swear, we just need a family closet…

  641. Messy says:

    #624 Yeah it was posted here last night… I said that if I were that kid, I would rather be around strangers than her the way she describes their family. It is a weird situation…

  642. JustPeachy says:

    I used to steal my moms clothing at that age too Messy LOL.

  643. Bloggitybloggity says:

    That’s so not fair. My mom was a butchy lesbian and her idea of style was totally NOT mine. I couldn’t borrow anything from her… accept maybe a joint. HA!

  644. Messy says:

    LOL! My grandma raised me. When I visited my mom, her clothes were wayyy to whorish even for the teen sleeze I was trying to look like ROFL… Otherwise, I could have looked through grandma’s polyester two piece pant suits :::NOT::: I was stuck with my own clothes πŸ˜₯
    Yeah, I feel good, dd who is a size 3 on a fat day, wears her big ole chunky mama’s clothes LOL!!! Although, it is not fair that she can put a belt on and wear my jeans when they are all that’s clean when there is no way in hell I could even get an ankle in her jeans! BRAT!

  645. Bloggitybloggity says:

    As far as the loon that wants to sign over her rights because her son is going through his terrible twos and she can’t control him… Well, I have trouble taking anything she says seriously ever since the faux-cranky fiasco.

    She blubbered 100 excuses as to why she couldn’t post pics, then had all evidence if her stupidity completely erased from DS existence, and THEN posted pictures of other random things right afterward. She proved herself to be psychotic with all that BS… and every post since then has been another nail driven into her crazy coffin.

    If she hadn’t posted pictures of the same unkempt children over the months, then I would seriously doubt whether she even has offspring.

  646. adensmama says:

    #645 yeah her stories are always so weird, and full of holes. Makes me wonder what IS actually going on in that family. I wonder how much of it is made up, if not all?

  647. Messy says:

    #649 I was hoping she didn’t really have kids… Who in their right fucking mind SERIOUSLY CONSIDERS signing over their rights when their kid is having its terrible twos??? Sign over her rights to WHO? The freak she claims her dh is? Niiice.

  648. adensmama says:

    #649 I remember that crankies BS, I don’t think I’ve seen pics of her kids though. I feel sorry for them because I think she lives in crazyland.

  649. Bloggitybloggity says:

    I hope to be able to share clothes with my toothpick DD when she’s a teen. I only have 10 more years to lose (oh, IDK) 500 pounds. HAHAHA

    But seriously Messy, your DD wears a size three and can borrow your clothes? I’m so freaking jealous.

  650. Messy says:

    #653 The only thing to be jealous of in this case is my daughter’s ability to make belts work! She can shrink even my biggest size 10 jeans down on her ass. It is strange. Probably because she is 5’8″ tall… I dunno.

  651. nu says:

    Regarding that mother in the 5th wheel.

    Um….wouldn’t any kid act that way with the drama going on over that place? She should have stayed back in whatever state she was in to provide STABILITY! She doesn’t seem like she is able to do that.

    It does seem like a whole lot of drama for a 2 year old…one with autism…can autism be determined at age 2?

    I can’t find the bathroom pictures…where’s the link or thread?

  652. adensmama says:

    Okay, the more I read this woman’s post the more I’m confused. Her son started early intervention at 7 months and has been doing it ever since. He was diagnosed with autism at 1 year? I didn’t know that kids that young could even be diagnosed properly. Also how is she doing EI if they are traveling around in a trailer/5th wheel or whatever it is?

    She says she is a SAHM and never leaves the HOUSE. And she says her son has gotten them thrown out of the library, wal mart, etc? And somehow her autistic child loves strangers and talks to them and tells them everything about his life??? That doesn’t sound like an autistic child to me.

  653. theinvisible says:

    One minute her husband beats her and she’s hiding cash to make her escape and the next day she posts about how sexy he is and how much she loves him. I think she just posts whatever. She is quite special. The bathroom pictures were the best.

  654. Bloggitybloggity says:

    Well its very simple. The EI therapists come to visit with her son IN HER HEAD. It’s the easiest arrangement for everyone involved (ie: the son that probably isn’t autistic, the therapists that don’t exist, and her own crazy self that has to drag her kids and her head-crew around in a 5th wheel.)

  655. Bloggitybloggity says:

    LMFAO 657!

  656. mmspirit7 says:

    i hate when people do things like this

    delete to hide because soon they are going to have another lie

    her is the listing of her posts. sure someone could make a huge call out if it was aloud of her bs

  657. Messy says:

    ROFLMAO @ 658

  658. just_sayin says:

    I think it’s offensive that she thinks that kids with autism are just brats. They can be nice kids.

    She’s full of BS about her kids. She claims that her one child has CP and can’t move or sit up (and gets bed sores), but she has posted pictures of her sitting unassisted before. When she gets called out she just stammers and back pedals. She’s an attention whore, that’s all.

  659. diudiaole says:

    So her daughter that has cp is 2 years old and her autistic son is two years old? So she claims they are twins or what?

  660. ~*~Momma~*~ says:

    my dd has an ASD and she is, for her age, very well behaved.

    that just pissed me off.

  661. theinvisible says:

    I don’t even know what to say anymore about TyandCheymommy. You are absolutely right, 662. She is a total attention whore. Whatever she dreams up on any given day, she posts. It really irritates me, mainly because she uses her kids to do it. Especially using a special needs child. Yuck.

  662. diudiaole says:

    So TyandCheymommy is diabetic, bipolar…with boy/girl twins where one has cp and the other autism and possibly kidney or endocrine issues.. a DH that abuses her… and they live in a 5th wheel often more than 2 days drive from her children’s regular doctors… wtf

  663. Messy says:

    #666 But he is a hot sexy great guy on every other week! Also, they are fighting for custody of her dh’s two daughters that were taken from their mom by welfare, right? Gonna move those two into that mansion of a 5th wheel that her kid can wade through acres of toys in with her and her kids and her dh. Yup. She’s a weener alright.

  664. theinvisible says:

    Ok, I know I said I had nothing more to say but one more thing….in all the pictures she posts of her kids that I’ve EVER seen…they are wearing disposable diapers. Does she even CD?

  665. Messy says:

    She is raising Jerry Springer’s next generation… Poor kids.

  666. diudiaole says:

    Reminds me of this lady I met in the waiting room of my children’s doctor — she had her 10 month old boy on anti-seizure meds because of a febrile seizure he had when he had the flu. When I questioned her further(I have a child who had 2 of them, each 6 months apart) she stated that if he didn’t have the meds he would be having seizures all night and not be able to sleep. It was like she was making it all up as she went… very weird.

  667. Messy says:

    I’ve never ever seen pics…

  668. theinvisible says:

    She actually posted one with her son with chocolate all over his face.

  669. theinvisible says:

    Gosh, that was super bitchy of me to write. Sorry. Let me just say that I’ve seen lots of pictures.

  670. screenname says:

    They are not twins apparently. In Feb her DD was almost 2 and her DS was 2.

  671. Messy says:

    Something about her is wayyy off…
    Someone who knows those kids’ supposed ages, please do this math: http://www.wishuponahero.com/wishes/?id=46113 She was 18 months old in Sept 2008 but will be three in a couple weeks?

  672. Messy says:

    #674 Ok, makes more sense! I was trying to figure out how she morphed ages so much!

  673. screenname says:

    Apparently her DD was 23 months in January, so her birthday was in February. But her DS isn’t 3 yet?

  674. Bloggitybloggity says:

    I wouldn’t consider it bitchy. That photo still haunts my dreams. Her son was filthy and grinning about their awesome garage-sale find (Some doll equipment, if I’m not mistaken.)

  675. theinvisible says:

    Did anyone actually read that? WTF? No wonder her kid is going nuts. Can you imagine?

  676. screenname says:

    I feel a bit stalkerish now. lol

    Her DD was born @ 28 weeks.

  677. theinvisible says:

    Yes Bloggity! That was exactly the picture I’m talking about. The doll stroller and doll. It was creepy as hell.

  678. Messy says:

    Ok, where are the pics??? I gotta see this. It has to be better than what I am imagining.
    A 5th wheel is a pull behind trailer that has a goose neck that attackes into the bed of a truck, I think.
    Also, she got a wheelchair for her dd at Wish Upon A Hero. How is a 5th wheel wheel chair accessible??? Seriously???

  679. screenname says:

    I feel like a total asshole for saying this, but maybe she really should give up custody to someone else. I mean, her poor son is having such a rough life. I can only imagine it getting better if he found a stable home. Just reading the things that she’s written about him make me want to just hold him and love him until he feels secure again.

    I mean, I know that she’s most likely a drama whore but some of this stuff…it’s just so sad.

  680. Messy says:

    #679 Link. Someone explain the backstory to this mess?

  681. monkey says:

    I know. I have a friend who recently started selling handmade jewelery on Etsy and she has way underpriced herself. I’ve seen her make these gorgeous necklaces and it takes HOURS… she’s afraid no one will buy them if they’re anymore expensive though.

    I think also that a lot of WAHM’s probably realize that the rest of us are moms with bills to pay and aren’t shitting $100 bills to spend on the awesome handmade stuff we want so they price accordingly.

  682. Bloggitybloggity says:

    I found the pic. It should be noted that her son is wearing a FB in it, so we do have proof that the child was cloth diapered on at least one occasion.

  683. theinvisible says:

    She’s just full of shit. One post is how poor they are. Then she wants to know which stroller she can buy because she has $700 to blow. There were pictures of her belly saying she was due in Sept. or something and was 5 weeks but looked 6 months. Just a whole lot of seriously weird stuff. She is CRAZY.

  684. monkey says:

    #636 Do you use Goodwill? Every time I’m home to visit my folks I go to Goodwill and stock up on clothes for whatever season. I spent $20 the other day and got 4 pairs of shorts 5 shirts and two sleepers.

    You have to search, it’s time consuming to find stuff that doesn’t look like crap, but the prices are right, especially when they have their .50 cent sales. Clothes are so expensive in Korea that I always buy plenty while I’m home.

  685. monkey says:

    NM bloggity, I see where you talked about Goodwill. I’m fortunate, the goodwill near us is pretty awesome. It’s also located on the edge of a pretty affluent area so you get a lot of gymboree and children’s place clothes that obviously weren’t worn that much. I’m also lucky that DS has a 2nd cousin who’s about a year older than he is, so a lot of stuff gets passed on when I’m home.

  686. JustPeachy says:

    Ok this is going to sound snobby and while I being a mother of 3 messy messy girls know that kids get dirty, why wouldnt she at least wipe his face before snapping a shot.

  687. diudiaole says:

    #691 — some people think it is cute when they’re kids have food on their face, it bugs me too… but I have seen way too many pics of babies and toddlers with mashed peas or other junk all over their faces on these mommy forums. It is gross to me, but you get dozens of people posting how cute it is.

  688. Bloggitybloggity says:

    Yeah, around here our Goodwills charge insanely high prices for stuff that I would throw away. There were a few Goodwills in CO that were a bit better (depending on the neighborhood) but for the most part, I’ve given up on them. I actually *love* scouring places for good deals, but in the case of Goodwill… it would take me 5 or 6 trips to find something I could even consider purchasing (not even taking into consideration the price.) I do better at stores like Ross (if I’m looking for something specific) or Wal-mart (if I’m looking to buy a bunch of the basics.)

  689. theinvisible says:

    That wasn’t a “look how cute he ate chocolate” picture. That was a dirty kid picture. See, there I go again. I can’t help it. Wipe his face.

  690. screenname says:

    There are a couple churches in our area that have large consignment sales in the spring and fall. It is a great way to stock up on basics. Since it’s consignment the clothes are in vguc-euc and at the end everything is 1/2 off. I usually take $30 and get a huge trash bag full of really nice clothes for both kids.

  691. Bloggitybloggity says:

    691- I have no freaking clue. I don’t care if I sound snobby– that’s just gross. My kids make messes but they are cleaned afterward. *vomit*

    692- I have a huge issue with that as well. I don’t think it’s cute. I try to keep my opinions on the matter to myself, but sometimes I just can’t take it anymore. The chocolate smeared all over his face is gross. Wipe it off or wait to take the pic, for bejesus’ sake.

    The only picture I have of my DD with messy face is the picture I took of her yesterday eating her first birthday cake πŸ˜€ It was her first time eating junk food and it was her first time getting balls-out messy like that… I had to capture the moment. Other than that? I cannot, cannot, cannot handle to see pictures of mashed up food. In fact, I would rather look at pictures of poop.

  692. monkey says:

    I’m lucky. DS takes after his father. He is the neatest eater and can’t stand to have food/mess on his hands or face. He’s the worlds first fastidious baby!

    I agree. Wipe the kids face. It’s one thing if it’s a “This what happened when ________ ate his first chocolate Easter bunny” picture, it’s another if it’s just a picture. We do have a picture of my son eating his first frozen yogurt pop where he has it everywhere… but he was also wiped up immediately after wards.

  693. Messy says:

    Ok, I love pics (or avis LOL) of messy faced kids enjoying their first XYZ… It can be sooo cute! If you are posing your kid in the new collab you just scored, please, wash the face!!! If you are snapping shots of your son with some babies and toys, wipe his face! There is no link between his smile, those toys, and the filth.
    ALSO, she has THREE kids??? Where is #3? What is it??? She had to lug all three kids? Or was it Thursday after a full moon and her dh forces her to lug him around all day after beating her the night before for the hot sexy sex they had the week before? I can’t keep up!!! She needs a blog of her own!

  694. JustPeachy says:

    Ok so I am not alone. I have taken pics of Saedra with food on her face but it was one to show her reaction to her first popsicle hence the picture even being taken. I generally give her a quick wipe with a washcloth before taking any pictures.

  695. adensmama says:

    I am also a messy kid pic hater. Like when I see a giant ass pic of a kid with nasty spaghetti all over its face…sorry, not cute. And people on other forums will use those kinds of pics to make siggys!

  696. adensmama says:

    Oh and the crazy chick’s picture…that child was DIRTY. Just plain dirty, even before the chocolate happened!

  697. theinvisible says:

    You are not alone Peach lol. I also noticed that she posts a Quitting Cloth thread about once every few months. What better way to get a bunch of OH NO DONTs?

  698. adensmama says:

    Um, OMG. Where is a 10 year old learning this stuff?

  699. monkey says:

    Ok. I’m seriously pissed. I bought a new hair dryer yesterday… I used it for 5 minutes and it DOES NOT WORK all of the sudden.

    Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest.

  700. monkey says:

    #703 OMG that is so sad. It definitely sounds like the 10 year old is being abused and acting out.

    Those poor kids!

  701. Messy says:

    Apple Bubble Mama… Email me please now.

  702. diudiaole says:

    #703 — a 10 year old is plenty old enough to know about sex and kissing etc just from watching daytime television… and also old enough to know it is *wrong* to be molesting little kids. That 10 year old needs to be set straight immediately regarding how wrong and damaging that behavior is!

    I remember kids a grade older telling me about “humping” and boy’s parts etc when I was in the 1st grade — and they were 2nd-3rd graders so like 8-10 years old and I was around 7 years old.

  703. just_sayin says:

    Did you all see the bed sores post? But then she has posted pics of her dd sitting alone before. So, how does a child who can sit unassisted get bed sores? And there was some post about how her dh left the dd in the crib covered in filth. And one week her dh is abusive and she wants to leave, the next week he’s a loving husband and giving her huge amounts of money for stupid things. And then there’s the whole deadbeat dad thing. I guess her dh has all these other kids by other women and doesn’t pay for them. It’s so much drama it’s hard to keep it all straight.

    Someone should link her here, it would be entertaining to hear what she has to say. πŸ™‚

    Although one thing I have to give her is that special needs tends to cluster in families. So if you have one SN child you are more likely to have another. All of mine are SN, and I’m not crazy. Well, not yet….

  704. adensmama says:

    706 what’s your email?

  705. adensmama says:

    #707 I think it’s very likely that the 10 year old is being abused…especially since she explained it to the 3 year old as playing “mommy-daddy”. Or heck, who knows she might have walked in on the parents (one set of parents or the other) and between that and TV her imagination is running wild!

  706. adensmama says:

    Email sent πŸ™‚

  707. Messy says:

    Ummm… Is that email from you, adensmama?

  708. adensmama says:

    Yep the one from gmail? Is something wrong?

  709. Messy says:

    Clicked the link, yup, it’s you! I replied. Read it!

  710. adensmama says:

    Ok duh my inbox wasn’t refreshing like it was supposed to .

  711. JustPeachy says:

    #704 take the receipt and return it to the store. id be livid too!
    About the 10 year old thats just sad and wrong.

  712. monkey says:

    #717 you can bet I will!

  713. kukukachoo says:

    hey 713 & 714 it’s not nice to tell secrets πŸ™‚

  714. Messy says:

    Hey #719 I bet if you read the whole blog it won’t be a secret… Or will it…

  715. diudiaole says:

    I read the whole blog… which secret is this??! πŸ˜›

  716. kukukachoo says:

    i did- i really was kidding πŸ™‚

  717. diudiaole says:

    I heart etsy.com

  718. Messy says:

    Is blue heart printed fabric bad for a boy? Hearts in blues and browns…

  719. diudiaole says:

    #724 — no, if it is the one I am thinking of I consider that the boyish version of the pink/brown heartd

  720. Bloggitybloggity says:

    I would think so πŸ™‚

  721. Bloggitybloggity says:

    I meant *wouldn’t* think so πŸ˜‰

  722. Messy says:

    Me either… I am very lax on colors but hearts I wasn’t too sure of… I like it. I think it is ok on a boy. I also think the blue chicks fabric is cute for boys but most would disagree with me…

  723. Meghan says:

    I’m a horrible mother with a messy faced kid. There, I said it. And I take her picture with said messy face, and not just to document specific messy occasions. Am I going to mommy hell?

  724. diudiaole says:

    Yes, you’re going to burn in mommy hell. lol

    To each his own, I hate anything sticky including kids covered in sloppy or dried up nasty food(especially peas, spaghetti sauce, egg etc). The photos gross me out.
