  1. Lisa says:

This mum put her sons photo on the net saying he looked like Nick Jonas. This “girl” then types in nick jonas on the net and up comes this womens son.
“girl” gets a bit excited and wants more pictures. Could be some perv but then if you dont want weirdo pm’s or strangers looking at pics of your kids, then dont put pictures of them on the net.
    Simple!

  2. Megan says:

30-year-old man masquerading as a 13-year-old girl? LOL Good times. Gotta’ love all the weirdos out there.

  3. anamnesis says:

I think this mama is over reacting. It’s just some kid that did a search for Nick Jonas and has a little crush and immaturely asked for more pictures. This is where the mama responds, “Sorry – but no. ” and then removes pictures of her son. Not a big issue.

  4. Rain Cloud says:

Yes, simple say NO and delete pictures. I would be more scared if it were my daughter though.

  5. JustPeachy says:

But you have to think why the hell would someone do that. I mean cmon even if she is 15 what would possess her to pm someones mom and join a freaking cloth diapering site just for pics of her son?

  6. Madre says:

Overreacting? That’s disturbing as hell. I would not just assume the “girl” is in fact a 15 y/o girl either.

  7. Lisa says:

But surely us mums know, that by putting pics f our kids on the net, we could potentialy attract unwanted admirers!!
Really if she doesnt want anymore “girls” contacting her, remove the pics and dont put anymore out there. This person has been banned for life now anyway.

  8. jakesmom says:

I agree with peach on this one it sounds a little too weird.

  9. Kris says:

That sounds like someone trying to sound like a 15 year old girl, if that makes any sense…

  10. Lisa says:

why are my posts being moderated? lol

  11. Lurker says:

I’m a lurker (but am active on the other cd boards). It is #2s reaction precisely why these freaks are allowed to be so inappropriate. I am almost %99.99 sure that the pm’er is a freaky man and that he joined the cloth diapering board for freak reasons. Anything less than total “over exaggeration” in response would be totally inappropriate. I would love to live in #2s bubble if only for a day. Sheesh.

  12. amessymama says:

    Yes, disturbing!

3-Why would you be more scared for a girl? I think I would be equally freaked out for any of my children. Boys or girl.

  13. JustPeachy says:

Its not like predators pick on girls more than boys. Or is it the stereotype that we are the weaker sex that is rearing its head?

  14. Kelolsen says:

    that would creep me out!

  15. werd says:

    http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=748955

oh man, all you have to do is read the title of the thread to know its gonna get messy. And of course they are arguing semantics – meanwhile the article is addressing like thousands of people who were abused as kids. But who cares about them, let’s argue over whether catholics are evil or not. Typical.

  16. werd says:

    http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=750583

and then the offended catholic posts this. ugh.

  17. hrm's mom says:

That is a little creepy about the pictures. I do not think I would like it if I were the boys mom.

  18. hrm's mom says:

Why cannot I not post here anymore? I haven’t posted in a couple of weeks but I do not think I have changed anything?

  19. JustPeachy says:

Im baptized, confirmed, and married Catholic and you know what? Its all true. The Catholic Church sucks ass. Its a big part of the reason I have lost my faith. Nothing like attacking an unwed pregnant mother while you are raping children. Or even better yet the poverty our local church cries is absurd. They never do anything for the community and every single fundraiser is for something “the church” needs.

  20. mmspirit7 says:

Peach I saw your post about money I agree

  21. mmspirit7 says:

    in the surrendered wife thread

  22. JustPeachy says:

Charise its funny that she says that because I went thru the same damn thing. Yes I did ask my husband for money for my own reasons (no judging me please). However he fucked up so instead of emasculating him completely I took over the better part of the financial burden. He still can feel like a man but shit gets paid around here.
I can totally see it blowing up in her face.

  23. mmspirit7 says:

LOL I am betting things aren’t getting paid when I first got married dh did the bills why because he was doing them before I moved in and I looked at him on day and said umm…how much was the phone bill turned out he didn’t pay it I took over before it got worst

anyways I pissed those ladies off LOL and honestly i don’t think i said anything worse than they did.

i think that’s why lee can get away with a lot there they like to submit

  24. JustPeachy says:

and bdhutier is such a whiner. waaaaaaaaaaah I don’t fit in. You know what I know myself and many other mama’s who don’t quite fit in but ya know what? I manage to do just fine. I wonder how the hell she gets along in the real world with her sensitivities.

  25. JustPeachy says:

Thats what happened with us except it was a car payment which resulted in my car being reposessed. Im not an advocate for spousal abuse but never in my life did I want to beat the shit out of him more than I did when I woke up at 5:30 am to find out my car was being repoed.

  26. mmspirit7 says:

natty posted as well and I just skiped it it was long and I gave up reading it. and i haven’t started the do you say thank you after sex thread oh and on the thread i started I posted a blog that LOL is getting talked about

  27. werd says:

    LMAO Peach!

  28. werd says:

I posted to the Catholic thread. I’ll post it here too – WHY is it always the Catholic churches and schools that you hear about this stuff going on in? Aside from the Mormons with polygamy, you NEVER hear about scandals of this caliber in the Methodist Church (my religion), Episcopalian etc – it is always with Catholic Churches and its extremely prevalent. But why?

My only guess is, that pedofiles are drawn to the priesthood. Think about it – vow of chastity, power, closeness to children, etc. And its well known how the church protects the offenders within the church. Sounds like a pedofile’s heaven to me! :(

  29. hrm's mom says:

that is not true there are other faiths that have issues with pedophile my friend is 50 and she said her pastor use to do things to girls I just think it is not in the media as much?

  30. hello says:

I think things do go on in other church denominations with pastors and church leaders. I’ve heard of a lot of scandals like affairs, addictions to porn and even one involved with prostitutes. But things like affairs and porn addictions don’t make the headlines like child molestation and polygamy. It is really sad but I think there is a reason for it. I truly think that Satan attacks church leaders specifically because it is a way to bring down the whole church. It causes people to lose faith and hope and I think that Satan knows that so he really tempts church leaders. Scares the shit out of me because my husband is a pastor. He is such a faithful, awesome guy and I trust him so much but I know it is going to be harder for him. Just my opinion :)

  31. Munklettes says:

#20 – that’s exactly what happened with me. Nothing got repossessed, but holy hell, did he get his bank account negative ($800 negative!)! I have been paying all the bills, and he calls to make sure we have the funds before he buys anything. He likes it that way just fine. Maybe he’s a “submissive husband” ? lol

  32. melmelly says:

27-Werd: There was something about the Jewish faith and molestation on NPR a few months ago. I can’t remember the proper terms, but it was young boys being raped and molested in the pools and steam rooms- somebody please fill in the proper terms for this! There was one grown man, now in his mid-20′s that was molested in the pool by an older man, while his own father was in the pool too! I think the men that NPR interviewed were in New York state, or Pennsylvania…or it happened in one state and they are now living in the other.

But I totally agree, it is almost always the Catholic church.

  33. melmelly says:

    http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=99913807

Correction: “mikvah”, a bathhouse usually used by women for ritual cleansing.

  34. werd says:

29 WOW I never heard of that, but I live in Upstate NY and it’s like we aren’t even on the same continent as NYC sometimes!

  35. Sadieanne says:

#26- oh wow Charise, i just read that whole blog!! spankings, anal ginger and wrist ties??? I’m going to vomit.

  36. melmelly says:

One of the follow up stories said that the Rabbi’s, school admins, etc, have done a fairly good job of keeping it out of the media. That’s why it hasn’t been on Fox News, CNN, and all the others.

I have Fox, CNN, NPR, and a few others on my iGoogle page. When the story was on NPR, it was one of the “top three” articles, but I have NEVER seen it on any of the others.

I live in Southern Oregon and we never see anything like this. The closest has been a pastor of a Baptist church getting fired because he supposedly took his teenage daughter for an abortion after she was raped.

  37. thesecret says:

28, Husband came to me with an overdrawn account. I ran the money for 3 years and we were doing great. He took over for 6 months. Got us evicted, paid no bills, and always had food and gas though. Needless to say, I took back over. We are back to paying all bills and getting caught up.

  38. JustPeachy says:

Thats how it started with us. Dh would overdraw his account and I would get the notice from the bank in the mail and proceed to let him have it. He was good for a while but it seems like since I stopped working he let things go. And the telling him to pay the bills got to be too much for me so I said Im taking over please hand over the paycheck.

  39. nu says:

#26-I just can’t imagine that! My dh would never do that to me. I wonder if her HOH knows she is blogging about it!

  40. mmspirit7 says:

35 that life isn’t for me and I hate to say but that’s what I think and picture when wives say they submit.

  41. diudiaole says:

It reminds me of those ‘domestic discipline’ freaks

  42. TL says:

27, my personal feeling about that whole thing is that they’re going about being a priest wrong lol. I think celebasy is a huge mistake on their part. I think that priests should be able to marry. Not saying that would solve all their problems, but I do think thats a cause for some of the problems they have in their churches.

  43. Messy says:

Hmmm… I have to agree to disagree. We are Catholic. I understand that a lot of scandals are brought forth from the Catholic Church, however, I think a lot of that results from the sheer amount of practicing Catholics there are in the country, also from the fact that after hiding sex scandals the Church was forced to come to an open-information policy with the accusations. I do not protect pediophiles in any way, but honestly, there are sickos in every religion, every walk of life, every society that exists.
I also do not think that the chastity of the priesthood causes them to be more prone to be child molesters. I think that a priest has an “orientation” to sex in a different way than say a hetero- or homo- or whatever sexual. I am sure there are more priests cheating on God with women (or men as the case could be) than molesting children. It is a brain disease; sickness; incurrable and never rehabilitable; but not more prevelant in one religion than another.

  44. werd says:

that’s true, Messy. There are TONS of Catholics compared to other religions and I can see how it would be in the news a lot more.

I really don’t think chastity has anything to do with it, either.

  45. Messy says:

I <3 ya Werd :) I knew you would understand what I was trying to say!!!

  46. Messy says:

Ya know, the BTK killer was an elder and something important in his church… Anyone know what religion it was? See??? I don’t either. It wasn’t publicized as a church issue. These “priests” that molest and abuse children *are a Church issue, but they are not the *real Church. They are evil penetrating a system that gives them great trust… It sickens me. I did not click the link to the story posted on DS BTW, I just don’t think I can emtionally deal with such horror as I know is contained in it at the moment :(

  47. adensmama says:

I’m pretty sure this woman is completely OFF HER ROCKER.

Read this post from the “any other mamas cover their heads” thread…it’s not the first one by her that has made me go wow, this chick is freakin crazy!

    http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showpost.php?p=7352410&postcount=216

  48. Messy says:

#43 awe, I think she sounds sweet! Like she wants to put make up on but not be conceited. Cute.
The head covering thing is something I did not understand real well but we have a friend whose first calling was to the nunnery and she is ultra religious even though she is no longer becoming a nun (nor is her boyfriend still on the road to priesthood :D ) but she learned a lot about head covering and how it is important to some sects of religious life… She covers her head in the Church with a little white doilie. Too cute.

  49. werd says:

OMG I totally forgot about BTK! Yeah he was a Lutheran, and he was a president of the congregation!!

  50. werd says:

Ummm… okay its different but I don’t think she’s crazy. I grew up without a TV and we seldom watch it now and I agree, I learned to read and imagine and play instead, vs. my husband who grew up attached to video games who is not very creative and doesn’t read unless forced, lol.

  51. Messy says:

:::shaking head::: Werd, you were not supposed to remember his religion!!! That was my point! ROFLMAO!

  52. theinvisible says:

    #16
What happened to the banned member that posted in the “i don’t belong” thread? I refuse to read all the way through that dumb ass thread but I noticed she said she doesn’t CD, posted today but is banned. And ftr, I think the OP in the Catholic thread was being hateful but it wasn’t enough to really get worked up about.

  53. werd says:

LOL sorry Messy, I’m a idiot savant for stuff like that, I used to be addicted to Court TV!

  54. thesecret says:

34, That is how it is in this house. He deposits his check Friday. Hands me his Debit card when he get home and Monday, we withdraw the money and put in it my account. Him over drafting is why we have separate accounts.

  55. werd says:

48 that person who got banned was spouting off scripture crap and then started complaining about “the gays” and riled up a bunch of mamas and got banned

  56. theinvisible says:

Damn…I missed it. I don’t think she even had 50 posts either. What a “nervy newbie”.

  57. theinvisible says:

Oh, and those unpaper towels (#49) look like a camellama, or umm camelmama (??)product. Really though, buy an effing measuring tape before you invest in a sewing machine.

  58. adensmama says:

#46 I wasn’t referring to the TV thing, I also grew up without a TV, we didn’t even have basic cable until I was in highschool. Of course now I’m completely and totally addicted to it….I digress.

My point was just the way she talks, I guess I’m the only one who noticed it but she sounds like a crazy religious fanatic. I mean, she sounds nice and like she MEANS well, but I still think there is a crazy tinge to the whole thing.

  59. adensmama says:

Those unpaper towels look ridiculous, I would never pay (or trade) for something like that! Plus she “ran out of stuff” and has had this mama’s end of the trade for several months!?! WTF?

  60. hello says:

Sorry adensmama, but I thought she sounded sweet, not crazy. Not my thing but she didn’t sound weird to me.

  61. mnmama says:

I learned at my Catholic college that the whole can’t be married thing changed a longgg time ago (don’t remember any dates). The priests were getting married, would have families, and when they died they would of course leave their assets to their families. The Church said f that, we want your assets and changed up the rules. Basically it was about $, more than being “married” to God. Nowadays the belief has been morphed into the latter.

I personally think Catholic priests should be able to get married.

  62. yikes says:

#57 – i was just about to post that link. HIDEOUS!!!! Amski?

  63. MatildasMum says:

    Oh dear lord, 57

  64. mnmama says:

    Yeah, wow.

  65. theinvisible says:

And LD is confused…should I call dibs or not?

  66. DramaBore says:

    62 – Bwahahaha! Isn’t that the truth!

  67. yikes says:

    is mnmama on here LD????

  68. yikes says:

    yup – amski

  69. faerie77girl says:

    Ding ding ding!!! Amski!!!!

  70. Lolanae says:

Those longies are painful to look at. ><

  71. theinvisible says:

Why oh why would you even send those out? I would fake my own death before I mailed that to a customer.

  72. yikes says:

Those must be the ones that she was all upset that the mama had asked her why the legs looked all fucked up. And that she didn’t want to re-knit.

  73. MatildasMum says:

amski?? You’re kidding. LMMFAO Oh honey. I’m so sorry.

  74. Lolanae says:

I saw amski’s (atleast I think it was her) HC today on a congo. Wow…no way would I pay for the things she had listed.

  75. kas says:

seriously those are such jacked up longies WTF?? why is this amski person selling her knitted items?

  76. MatildasMum says:

Well well – this is what happens when someone raves a WAHM who is simply not ready.

  77. yikes says:

what? you don’t like mani’s sweater longies?

    http://hyenacart.com/prod_details.php?id=86534&vid=2948

  78. yikes says:

what’s up with the magic no-increase gusset she uses???

  79. mnmama says:

64- I don’t get the LD reference? School me please?

  80. DramaBore says:

    No waistband, either!

  81. theinvisible says:

So, faerie77girl, what was the reply when she was told those were not up to par?

  82. yikes says:

sorry – just thought maybe MN was for Minnesota and Lavender dragonfly is from Minnesota… just a random thought.

  83. uhoh says:

    wow Gumby Pants!

  84. kas says:

i think she must be knitting for Sponge Bob Square Pants :)

  85. Lolanae says:

Where is the thread with amski ranting?

  86. mnmama says:

Oh, ok. No problem. This is my sn on DS. And yes, I’m from Minnesota. Yeah, you betcha.

  87. mmspirit7 says:

http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=750977 50 posts really only going to keep trolls out for a day

  88. theinvisible says:

Yes, please, link that. Also, what is the relationship between RiverCityBoutique and Amski? RCB has her stocking linked in her title and sig.

  89. yikes says:

Amski thread – I don’t think she ranted – but she wasn’t exactly receptive to almost unanimous advice to re-knit and find a better pattern –

  90. adensmama says:

Uuuuuh, those poor longies! I feel so sad for them :( Hopefully some mama unravels those things.

  91. theinvisible says:

C&P? I can’t view it. Maybe I don’t have enough posts :spoken with oozing sarcasm:.

    What do you do when….
You make an item for a customer to the specific measurements they requested and now they are unhappy with another measurement which they didn’t specify but was determined by one they did (ok that makes no sense…waist measurement was specified which determines width of leg…customer now unhappy with leg width.) The customer is also unhappy with the size of something that is the size she asked for specifically.

The customer doesn’t have the item yet, andis only basing her opinions on pics.

    So what do you do?

Please help I’m at a loss

  94. theinvisible says:

Actually, nm. I get the gist of what went on. She is in for nothing but trouble. Not ready to be a WAHM..not skilled enough to be a WAHM.

  95. yikes says:

Then about 1001 people told her to re-knit them and use a better pattern.

lol wasn’t that the monkey ladies that said she could knit and raved about her?

  98. yikes says:

    yeah – exactly, right?

  99. yikes says:

I do recall some horrendous “KIOS” longies that if I were the KIOS lady, I would be mondo embarrased.

did you ladies see there is a mama that offered to reknit them for free

  101. my4monkeys says:

I said nothing about the knitting at all in this thread, seems like we’ve been on this train before….I offered to pay Erica what she was out since the spot was won on my auction for MOD, I feel horrible, but what was I supposed to do when she offered up a spot? KWIM? :(

  102. adensmama says:

Uuuugh, I seriously have all the luck. I’ve been working for the past several months trying to get everything ready to open my HC store, and then lately I see this new WAHM thread for “snickelfritz” diapers. And NOW she’s opening an HC store. Great. I don’t begrudge anyone’s business but it just seems like I can’t win with the timing.

  103. Not Lisa says:

Um. So, she knit a tube, seperated for her legs, did some 2 needle bind off for the 3 gusset stitches, and then knit the legs?

Cuz that is what it looks like.

  104. Foo-man-choo says:

91 – I believe she said that technically she was only raving the “hard work Amski did which deserved recognition”….(cough cough)

    and 68 – Bwahahahahahaha

  105. Foo-man-choo says:

OMG- In nicole’s linked thread there Amski says she is a perfectionist. Bwhahaha the laughs jsut keep coming.

  106. theinvisible says:

I saw that LOL. And they would be perfect if they were for the camelamma congo. Or whatever her name is…..but they weren’t so that mama should get her money back.

  107. Lolanae says:

I think snicklefrtiz dipes look like she took a BSRB and an Scuttlebutt and combined them. I’ll stick with my BSRBs lol.

  108. mmspirit7 says:

I want to tried a scuttlebutt but she just closed customs on her yahoo group till july aug

  109. Nic says:

Seriously, those are sad sad longies. And she totally missed the memo on how to make wide legs, which even as a total newb knitter I figures out how to do. I hope she was schooled in the WAHM forum

  110. my4monkeys says:

The longies were won in an auction for the March of Dimes, I offered to refund her out of my own pocket as the MOD already has the money from the auction, I really really feel bad about this.

  111. adensmama says:

100 I don’t like the soakers she made and I don’t like that they only have one snap. Mine are more like SB I guess, I use a trifold soaker. But I made my own pattern, not like that one chick who totally copied BSRBs!

  112. Foo-man-choo says:

Oh I needed that laugh tonight when I opened that thread and saw those longies. A gazillion thanks for linking it. ROFL!!

  113. Foo-man-choo says:

How much did she pay for them, Nicole?

  114. mmspirit7 says:

ahh thanks for the info I might have to wait it out then I like what I have now but always looking to try new things I love different stuff. plus need dh friendly ones.

  115. theinvisible says:

As long as Amski doesn’t have the money….Ok, I looked closely at the raved boardshorts and I actually doubt the possibility that they were even knit by the same person. Maybe because the thread is black it isn’t as obvious? Really, did she have g’ma knit those up and then get stuck doing the bad ones?

  116. adensmama says:

107 were you talking about the dipes? I love snappiable fitteds SOOO much, that’s why I started making them. Scuttlebutts are my fav, I just got a custom from her and I added my name to the end of the list too lol!! I don’t have time to make dipes for my own kids…

  117. my4monkeys says:

The ones I have honestly aren’t HORRIBLE but not any thing like my other woolies…I’m not sure the exact amount but I think it was under $25 if I remember correctly!

  118. my4monkeys says:

I just read the emails back and forth between Erica and amski…I am disgusted.

Ok, you volunteered that little tidbit, so please elaborate. Summarized, of course. Disgusted is a very strong word…

  120. my4monkeys says:

She was very rude and bitchy towards Erica and through all the emails Erica was very nice, I do not understand how people who are trying to build a business can be so nasty to customers.

  121. kimsansf says:

wow! talent AND customer service. she’s a gem!

  122. theinvisible says:

Her “business” is toast and she probably knows it. I hope she gets that it is her fault and not that of her customer. Customer service is important but it is pointless if you can’t produce anything worth buying.

  123. GMLovah! #1 Fan says:

    LOL #114

  124. mmspirit7 says:

109 yeah i was and thanks I will keep an eye out on fsot

  125. adensmama says:

115 I agree. I can’t believe she was arguing how she made them to “the customer’s measurements”. Anyone can see that those are totally F’d up! They look like they were made by a 7 year old whose mama was teaching her how to knit…

  126. uhoh says:

#119 actually my 8 yr old could knit better than those..

  127. Messy says:

Amski… Wow… Suck much? Those are horrendous. I don’t understand WTF difference it makes if it is a charity or not, it is work you are putting out there for money! I won an auction and got the most amazing pair of longies that I have ever seen!!! It was the best!!! I recommend those in the colab all the time… You need a new hobby because knitting wasn’t even a *hobby for you obviously… :P

  128. amessymama says:

I’m almost positive this amski chick has no hands?

  129. theinvisible says:

LOL! She knits with her toes….what a great job. Wow, so talented.

  130. amessymama says:

See, now they don’t look so bad.

  131. faerie77girl says:

    LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  132. alison says:

    *wipes tears from eyes*

    Oh. My. God. Yikes.

    You’re killing me here.

    LOL

  133. theinvisible says:

Oh, I’m not so swift…Princess Fluffy Butt is a congo. I really thought that was the name of her store. Ok.

  134. Messy says:

ROFLMAO!!! OMg! Knits with her toes!!! LOL!!!

  135. newhere says:

Nicole…might want to consider editing your “rave”. I still don’t really get why you posted it. Raves are for fantastic WAHMs and their work. A way to let other potential customers know about them. How are you going to feel when some poor sucker reads your “rave”, buys from her, and gets shit in return?

Still find it a little (ok, more than a little) odd at the timing of it all. Posting a “rave” for a shitty knitter after ripping apart another WAHM whose knitting skills are light years ahead of Amski’s.

  136. screenname says:

I knit my very first thing this week and, um, it doesn’t look like that.

Selling wares is a very emotionally invested thing to do. I write, not knit obviously, but it’s still putting a part of yourself out there for the world to judge. Especially so if you are charging for your services. If you can’t take constructive criticism, then you better make sure your product is damn near perfect.

I seriously don’t get these women thinking “Hey, I looked up some you tube videos on how to do something. I can start charging for it right away!” Take a few months and work like crazy on improving your skills. It’s better to open a shop in a few months and have satisfied customers than to open too early and be black balled in the WAHM world.

  137. Messy says:

I have a set of dental picks. I got them to use when making polymer clay dolls and dollhouse stuff (no, I don’t sell it). So, since I have dental tools, some floss, toothpaste and I can borrow dh’s drill, I think I will become a dentist!!! Who wants to be my first patient? Having the tools totally makes me qualified to charge for services! Please bring your own numbing meds, I seem to be out!

  138. mmspirit7 says:

ooooo i just found green amber and I like it. pricey but I like it.

  139. screenname says:

I’ll volunteer Messy. But only if you go to dentistryhelp.com first and watch a couple videos. Then you’ll be totally qualified!

  140. Messy says:

#139 Sorry, I only use youtube videos to do dentistry by. I just can’t change my pattern… Please bring a good clotting agent with you; I can’t believe I almost forgot to have you bring that!!!

  141. screenname says:

So here is how it went. In December she decides she wants to make longies.

    http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=621664

In Feb she decides she needs to work at home with her mom. (Maybe where the semi-decent KIOS longies came from?)

    http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=666762

Less than 2 weeks later she’s made her first transaction for her “wares”.

    http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=677726

  142. faerie77girl says:

    HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

  143. punktart says:

My first thought when I saw those longies were if she knitted them with her feet.

I know only the very basics of wool, but omg those are horrendous!!

  144. nver says:

Just catching up on the blog after a crappy week and just have to thank you all for the good laugh. Those longies are horrid I hope someone is able to help them out.

  145. alison says:

On the one hand, I feel for the kid, she’s trying to supplement family income, on the other… Well… The quality just ain’t there…

  146. JustPeachy says:

Wanna know whats even funnier? Rather then say taking everything we have said here and improving upon it, she would rather act like we are attacking her and that there is nothing wrong. She does NOT have any right to be wahming at all.

  147. theinvisible says:

No, she is not even close to ready. The market will regulate. There is not enough of a void to support crap like this. Even if she does just a few transactions here and there it will end up costing her more trouble than its worth. You can’t sell shit, ladies. Everybody has some already.

  148. JustPeachy says:

I think the thing that bugs me most is because Im throwing my hat into the wahm thing and I think her knitting is going to reflect badly upon myself and other new knitting wahms. Granted my work speaks for itself and I take pretty detailed pics but there is that stigma.

  149. JustPeachy says:

And thats a big part of the reason I went off on Korin before is for the same thing amski is doing.

  150. theinvisible says:

Korin as in Connorsmama Creations? Another one. I still have serious doubt as to who really knitted the first few for Amski though. It doesn’t seem possible that she could have unlearned how to knit.

  151. .bin. says:

lolololol did anyone read the post a few weeks ago from her asking if it would be ok to use sock yarn to knit longies because if she used REALLY BIG needles, she still got the gauge of her longies? durrrrr…….. Yup that’s gonna keep the piss in dumbass.

  152. theinvisible says:

I did see that. This girl might have knit a few stitches once with her g’ma. She decided she was going to get in on the WAHM thing ’cause…hey, its just knitting, anyone can do that and she saw people dropping over $100 for longies. So she did, people told her how awesome she was and that was that. Now, she’s going to get her feelings hurt because no one told her the truth to begin with. And I really don’t feel sorry for her because she’s being all indignant about it. How would she feel if she got that shit in mail?!?

  153. theinvisible says:

    LOL
    Ummm, yeah.

I don’t knit, or have any knitted items aside from factory sweaters…so someone tell me, what is wrong with them? They look about as good as any of my crocheted stuff…but, then again, I’m pretty much a beginner still!

152 – She was considering opening a HC with her mom. That’s probably where the halfway decent stuff came from.

  155. GMLovah! #1 Fan says:

Peach- What did you say to Korin? I noticed that she isn’t selling her knitting anymore (or maybe I just have missed it recently)? Her stuff was OMG awful too. She couldn’t even do a gusset. And the funny part was she thought she was da bomb and would say stuff like “I haven’t been knitting long but have really taken to it” and describe her stuff as “beautifully made”. Um. No.

  156. Madre says:

    those are terrible

  157. Aj says:

The title of this thread is hilarious, http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=748637&page=2

And post # 14 is even funnier, I don’t think the op even has a clue.

  158. diudiaole says:

    #128 ROFLMAO!!!

  159. JustPeachy says:

#155 I sort of let her have it. Now bear in mind I do not just randomly go on HC and attack WAHMs who have shitty products. However I got fed up when I heard another mama on DS bought some shorties from her as her first piece of wool. I did a bit of research and saw Korins work and then saw her prices which infuriated me. I don’t get how people who make crappy items can expect to charge the same price as WAHMs who create pieces that are absolutely stunning.
There was a thread on HC about me even LOL and I was called a wack job and nutso for calling her out on her shitty knitting.

  160. diudiaole says:

“your cheating your kids” ummm yeah you think you could fix your own/spelling grammar before starting a thread criticizing others!!

  161. theinvisible says:

I choose to homeschool because I want to make sure my children are as ignorant and uneducated as I am.

  162. JustPeachy says:

I don’t home school because I know I would not do well at it. That being said I do have a better handle on grammar than that mama does apparently.

  163. BerryLove says:

I do feel somewhat sorry for her (the knitter). She really isn’t ready for selling her stuff yet. Poor thing. Poor people who spent money on the longies. :(

The Domestic Discipline website had me rofl. I don’t know how anyone can possibly say that’s not a sexual fetish. “He bends me over his knee and then tells me to spread my legs…” Baha!

  164. Munklettes says:

    #161 – you made me snort! :D

  165. Messy says:

We homeschooled for years… My oldest went to college early, did great. When I stopped hs’ing, put the kids in public school, they all did excellent and went to top of the honors lists. I was kinda proud of them. I do have one son with LDs that took the school 2 years to get him an IEP so I am not counting their mess up on that. His teachers said he did great!
Homeschooling is good. But I had to outsource for some stuff (music lessons, a higher math tutor, etc). I do not think that I will ever homeschool again as I am pretty happy with the public school at them moment.
As families and circumstances change, homeschoolers need to constantly re-evaluate their dedication to the education of the kids. As long as they are open to their own limitations, they should do great.

  166. Nic says:

It takes everything I have not to comment on her thread about her lack of grammar…

  167. lisa says:

goo on #166, you know you want to :D

  168. StacEy says:

Those pants (and every pair I’ve seen her knit) are so, so bad. How do they not make her cringe?

  169. Messy says:

Has anyone point Scamski over here? If nothing else, a healthy dose of reality might be slightly helpful… I cannot imagine what the thinking process of someone sending off those horrific pants is! I would be ashamed of my work and like someone else said, use the excuse of being dead before sending them out. Where is her pride?

  170. faerie77girl says:

    Word!!!!

  171. faerie77girl says:

Maybe I should give her the link, that would be crass, wouldn’t it, LOL!!!!!!! WHATEVER!!! I gave her the EF link, now what???? LOLLOLLOL!!!!!!!!

  172. Lolanae says:

Apparently a refund has been issued for the pants.

  173. faerie77girl says:

Yep, refund given. It’s over and done with.

  174. my4monkeys says:

I’m confused, did you pay her more after the auction to knit them? She didn’t recieve any money to knit those it all went to the March of Dimes???

  175. faerie77girl says:

Nope, but i just refunded her refund, she really needs to grow up, my money went to the march of dimes, thats where I wanted it to go. This was not about money, she is nutso!!!

  176. theinvisible says:

This could have all been avoided if she would have just sent back the yarn and refunded the auction price like a big girl when she realized she was unable to knit them.

  177. adensmama says:

I just posted on the homeschooling thread…anyone notice anything? I wanted it to be subtle :D

  178. theinvisible says:

LOL The blue is actually quite subtle. I didn’t notice right away.

  179. faerie77girl says:

    Haha, very subtle, LOL!!!

  180. adensmama says:

If she doesn’t know the difference between your and you’re she might not get it though. Oh well, I tried!

Anyone read the annoying grammar errors thread in OT? That one chick who complains about EVERYTHING started complaining right away. I want to complain about how much she complains.

  181. knittingnut says:

these poor testers should be warned

holy mother of crap….I have never seen anything like this on Craigslist.

  184. Aj says:

The monicadd lady on the errors thread is really taking it all to heart…she needs to RELAX, wow.

  185. theinvisible says:

    The fugly longies OP. EweNeedColor.

  186. Aj says:

    182, ooh, that’s really sad.

  187. theinvisible says:

C&P or link please? To the errors thread.

  188. Messy says:

Ok, so Faerie wins the auction for YYMN and sends Scamski yarn to make the fuglongies…
Scamski plays in the yarn and sends the photographed “pants” to Faerie. (I follow great to this point.)
Then Faerie *refunds money to Scamski? Faerie paid for the auction (the money donated to charity) then paid Scamski for the pile of crap she turned her yarn into???
I don’t understand the refund issue???

  189. Messy says:

#182 What was it? It is deleted?

  190. yikes says:

I feel even worse for the longies recipient that she sent her own yarn :( Talk about a yarn ruining service.

  191. adensmama says:

#182 I want to know what the CL post was all about! It’s deleted now :(

  192. faerie77girl says:

I won the auction, sent amski my yarn, she fucked it all up so I asked her to send the longies and the rest of the yarn back to me. She sent them back, then refunded me the money that I paid that had gone to charity, so I refunded her refund to me. She never got any money for them, it went to charity, but she felt the need to come out of pocket to give me a refund to prove a point I guess, it was never about money

  193. faerie77girl says:

I was nice through the whole thing, she got snippy when I asked why the legs were so skinny and asked her to re-do them. She got the “How dare you insinuate that my work isn’t A+” attitude, I just asked what the measurements were, and she blew a plug. PSYCHO!!!!!

  194. Aj says:

The CL ad was a person offering their unborn child to a family who could take care of it, because they were too young and unable–really sad.

  195. yikes says:

You would think that when a million and one people tell you you need improvement, you might take the hint, no?

The CL thingy was an a young couple wanting to give up their baby for adoption – they were looking for adoptive parents.

  196. adensmama says:

193 WTF…if that was real, WTF?

Who puts their baby up for adoption on CL? That is really heartbreaking no matter how you look at it.

  197. yikes says:

in Juno she found her A-parents in the penny saver… maybe that was their inspiration.

  198. faerie77girl says:

    Eeek, maybe 196 :(

  199. Nic says:

Thank you adensmama :) I hope she sees it!

  200. hrm's mom says:

wow that is not right to put the baby up for adoption on CL. But people put adds in all the time in my local paper like the pennysaver to adopt so not sure how that works

  201. Messy says:

#192 THAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH THE RAINBOWS AND ASS CHICKENS ON DS!!! (or whatever the term is ROFL) People constantly telling others that their shit is the best when in reality it is cute for beginners, but that is it. Just because you knit a potholder or washrag, you are not a WAHM professional in knitted items!!! Just because you make a pillow case does not make you a speciality diaper maker… Why can’t people just be honest. Yeah, tell people great but when they start talking selling it, get some honestly and grow a set. If someone called Scamski out when her first mention of selling was made, perhaps people would not be getting fuckered like this!!!

  202. faerie77girl says:

YEP!!!!!! She deleted her whole blog, too!!! And is busy deleting all of her posts on DS, too!!

  203. faerie77girl says:

Yes 200, that is Amskis craftsmanship!!

  204. yikes says:

    Ugh.

  205. amessymama says:

I noticed that hideousness in a fsot thread earlier today saying it had never been worn. Also andreax3 (I think) gave scramski 2 glowingly positive feedbacks for her crap.

  206. Messy says:

I could not help it. I had to speak out on the DS thread…

  207. amessymama says:

I wish she could delete all her longies she ever made!

  208. Aj says:

    Which one Messy?

  209. Messy says:

The one showing those longies “Fluffy Mail Call”.

  210. Aj says:

I found it…I really hope she reads the thread.

The first knit item I attempted was a pair of shorties using the Aubrey Doodlepants pattern, they looked better than those; but similar in the fact that there was little to no gusset. I quickly invested in a “real” pattern.

It is fairly obvious that she did not step into wahm-dom out of love for crafting, she is doing it solely for a quick buck.

  211. yikes says:

You know – it takes hours and hours and hours to knit a pair of longies. If she needs a quick buck what about a pt job at Walmart or something, she’d probably make more money.

  212. Lolanae says:

Wonder if she’ll pull out of her congo?

And what are people hoping who sees?

  213. BffMama says:

I admittedly don’t know anything about wool, but I am at least glad to come to the realization I know just enough to say that those longies look like shit.

  214. Messy says:

    I <3 BFF!!!
I know!!! My 7 yr old DS looked at them (he always pops over and looks at pics if he notices me opening something) and he asked me what they were! I said longies and he laughed… he is 7! My crocheting 9 yr old flat out asked me where the gusset was ROFL…

  215. theinvisible says:

That makes two people to say they don’t see what’s wrong in that thread. Ray Charles could see what’s wrong. I’m inclined to think it is a cognitive issue vs. sight. They can PM me and I’ll sell them a ball of scrunched up yarn for $60 and call myself a WAHM.

  216. GMLovah! #1 Fan says:

Anyone else thinks it’s strange to bring a brand new baby home from the hospital in a whole skull and crossbones get up?

  217. Messy says:

Is EgoElfWife Scamski’s mommy? Send her over here too… I can slam two generations of morons as easy as one.

  218. BffMama says:

OMG, Invisible…I am lmmfao: ‘Ray Charles could see what’s wrong.’

Damn I’m gonna be laughing about that all night.

  219. Messy says:

#215 Yeah I do think it is strange… But if they are going to bring them home in an outfit made of skulls and crossbones, at least they should bring them home in a *cute *well made one! The stripes on those longies are pathetic! It takes me a while to jog my yarn for stripes and I hate them desperately, but I would die before I settled with something that shitty. Why doesn’t Scamski have any pride in her work??? Why put out shit like that???

  220. Meghan says:

“Anyone else thinks it’s strange to bring a brand new baby home from the hospital in a whole skull and crossbones get up?”

YESSS! That’s a trend that needs to fade away. My newborn is so hardcore! Rawr!

  221. Lolanae says:

I like pirate themed stuff, but that newborn outfit is a bit much for me.

  222. mmspirit7 says:

yeah it’s over the top I wouldn’t pick it but some people I just don’t get

  223. BffMama says:

That’s not even a CUTE skull and crossbones outfit. Messy, ask your 7 and 9 yos comments on that one. I think I like them just as much as you!

  224. Messy says:

They are in the basement with dh at the moment. I will ask when they come up. I don’t want to interrupt… There is some serious cleaning going on down there and it aint me!!! WOOHOO!!! Our town has free unlimited trash this week and no way in hell am I stopping them at this point :D
My 9 yr old is critical. That kid pics my stuff apart and gives me a complex! But I don’t then try to sell it LOL!!!

  225. Nic says:

I’m a big fan of the skull and crossbones / jolly roger stuff on babies – I prefer it to be well made though. It’s one trend I actually don’t mind!

  226. jakesmom says:

So after I read #141 and looked at all the links they all said that they had been edited today, thinking that someone told her she made it to drama and then she desides to take the chickenshit way out and pretend it never happened??

  227. BffMama says:

By all means, do not interrupt the cleaning party in your basement. In the meantime, a pic of your bewbs could hold me over until your kids weigh in on the coming home outfit.

  237. mmspirit7 says:

    umm wow

  238. Lynn says:

amski has dropped from her congo, not wanting to bring her congo mates down. She is currently in the process of deleting all of her threads and posts on DS.

  239. pippen says:

ditto on the WOW. at least she’s willing to pack her needles and run. unlike some other wanna be’s who keep trying to sell their shyte.

  240. Lolanae says:

So she’s just hoping this will vanish rather than taking the criticism and using it to better her work?

Seems like she really didn’t want to be a WAHM in the first place.

  241. faerie77girl says:

She just needs more practice, that’s what everyone tried telling her, she got so mad and couldn’t take constructive criticism. No need to run, just listen to others with experience

  242. Lynn says:

She’s no longer on the congo..

  243. theinvisible says:

It sounds like she has a very immature outlook on this whole situation. Can’t take criticism, can’t deal with a problem head on, can’t accept mistakes and learn from them….she’s young and out to make some money on something she thought was really easy. It isn’t and she found out. If she loves it she will come back better because she’ll do it whether she sells or not. If she was out to make a quick dollar she’ll be onto the next thing.

  244. alison says:

Well – she certainly won’t be the first DS’er to have taken a leap into WAHMdom and discovered it wasn’t quite what she expected. And I think to cut it takes more than just practice, you know? It’s not for everyone. Ability is only part of the equation. Although it’s got to be there.

I’m sorry about the farked up longies, hopefully you can frog that yarn faerie, but I do still feel for her. From a post in March, sounds like she has an assload on her plate.

“I don’t know how much longer I can continue with my life the way it is. I love DS; he is my everything, but other than him, life feels pretty crappy (can I say crappy on here?). In January, I started a grad. program to get my teacher’s license. I was supposed to start last August, but got preggo! It’s an intense program. I’m only taking 8 credits, but feel like I’m constantly working. Every Thursday, I student teach at an elementry school in addition to university classes. I’m the primary caregiver to my LO, so I have to attempt to do schoolwork around him and my attempt at a schedule for him.

In addition to this, DH’s job isn’t paying the bills. He’s only working 32 hours a week….This income isn’t enough to pay the bills much less buy food. So i’ve been substitute teaching. We still aren’t making enough. So I started making longies (A note about this….I LOVE THIS…. Don’t get me wrong. making customs for you ladies is great and I would do it even if I didn’t need the money). Still not enough money…..So now I have a part time job on the weekends too. Plus I’m pretty much responsible for keeping up with the housework. People keep asking how it is physically possible to do all of this. I honestly don’t know….”

  245. theinvisible says:

I have empathy for people in tough situations. That doesn’t mean I feel bad that she tried to pass the pictured mess off as longies. Her attitude about the whole things doesn’t inspire sympathy in me either. Who wants to throw their money away? Get a pt job. If one thing has to go I’d say knitting is a good place to start.

Give me a break, at least they both have jobs! Everyone has problems in their lives, I have a dd who has severe medical issues, DH about to loose his job completely, I most likely have cancer AGAIN. Along with many other things that don’t need to be discussed on this board. I don’t want people to take pity on me, and I sure as hell wouldn’t use that as an excuse for people to feel sorry for me after I treat them like shit! It’s not my fault that her DH is a lazy ass. I would NEVER speak to a customer the way she spoke to me, no matter what my personal problems are, seriously :\

  247. Lynn says:

I would like to know what she said; I saw her posts on DS; she is not very good at CC; she totally shuts down and stops answering questions; I never did fully get what pattern she uses. and then, after she was on a congo and selling, she started a tester thread??

  248. Messy says:

She does not get sympathy from me. She put her shit out there, charged money for it, and basically I call that fucking someone over. W.R.O.N.G.!!! Now she wants to have a pitty party and her mob squad beg her to come back~ don’t leave~ you’re a great WAHM~ all bla bla bla smoke up her ass.

  249. batman5 says:

Well aren’t you all just a bunch of sweet mamas. Can you really blame her for taking her stuff down and hiding?

  250. screenname says:

A lot of people are having trouble with the shitty economy. That doesn’t mean that it’s OK to take money for a service that you can’t perform. Get a part time job, watch a couple extra kids in your home, do ChaCha. Don’t start selling your knitting services if you aren’t talented or practiced enough to knit evenly or to custom sizes.

  251. Meghan says:

Well, it sounds like she just didn’t know her longies weren’t quite there. I’m sure putting that much effort into something makes it really special to her, and clouds the judgment a bit. She needs to just practice and keep at it and see where it goes naturally, without forcing it. It really is art. Regardless of whether others are out of work, that situation she describes is pretty intense. I hope it works out for her!

  252. alison says:

Fair enough – but perhaps all the smoke blowing had her convinced that they were decent… You know, the rainbows and ass chickens on DS?

I wasn’t suggesting it made what she did right, or that even with enough practice she’ll get it right. It is an art, I’ve been knitting since I was 8, and it all still looks like shit.

Perhaps as someone else said empathy is what I meant.

  253. JustPeachy says:

andrea3x is a piece of work anyhow.
And you know what I don’t feel not one bit sorry for amski. We are going thru a tough time too but that doesn’t mean Id expect someone to pay if I knit something as crappy as that.

  254. Nic says:

Kind of shocked a mod hasn’t put the kibosh on this yet (read through the comments), apparently they don’t frequent the craft show and tell section

    http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=677726

  255. theinvisible says:

Oh Gawd, we are so mean…until it’s you that’s out money for some knotted up yarn. It seems she took her crayons and went home. Good. I expected nothing less. Especially from someone who posted like 500 times and been CDing for a minute.

  256. adensmama says:

I don’t see how it was mean…she put out a crap product and people were being honest about how crappy it was. It was really the way she acted when the mama wasn’t happy with the crap longies that was the problem.

  257. Messy says:

Yeah it is so mean to discuss the shit she mailed out over here where we *can. The thing is, even her defenders are saying that maybe it was her first attempt and she is a beginner and bla bla bla. Gimme a break. She is having people pay money for the horrible work she does.
The big thing is that people DID tell her that her work was less than desirable. She ignored it; got all indignant; and quit discussing it. That is a great way to become a better WAHM~ NOT!!!
This blog is mean??? No, it is truthful. Those who want to support amski can feel free to do it with donations of their own money (because any knitted product you are buying will be just like the one featured here and in her other pics of her work).

  258. crunchymilf says:

I posted to that thread. Posting pics of your beginner knitting in the craft chat forum is one thing. Putting it up for sale on HC is another thing entirely. I’m proud of what I knit because I enjoy knitting and it feels good to put something that *I* made on my kids. But it is NOT at a level where I would ever entertain trying to sell it for money. NO WAY. I just don’t see what’s so “mean” about telling a mama who needs to work on her knitting a bit more before trying to sell it exactly that?

  259. Thud says:

What I loved best about the amski thread? Crystal from Naturally Baby saying there was nothing wrong with the knitting LMAO

  260. StacEy says:

Mean? Oh please. She is selling and trading those things! I’d be pissed if I mailed her something in trade or paid her. The honest truth is that she ruined perfectly good yarn making those things..they have NEGATIVE value. I am sick and tired of DS because they do not allow for honest feedback about the quality of the product. The sad truth is that so much really poor quality crap is being bought/sold/traded on DS that many people have no idea what these things are supposed to look like when done right.

  261. theinvisible says:

And it’s gone. OMG someone mentioned how to access noncensored information! Oh No! Delete! Strike! Ban! We can’t allow those crazy women to spread the truth!

  262. amessymama says:

    250 & 257-
Are you talking about the same thing? What was it, I missed it?

  263. theinvisible says:

Yeah, I was talking about the s&t thread. I wish I would have copied it but I didn’t think to before it was gone. They were breakin’ all the rules. I loved your “or her mom” comment btw, amessymama!

Those are mine!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! They are SO stinking cute and I can’t wait to get my next pair! I don’t like to mess with wool but I love the look of it, so acrylic it is for me! I may not ever be able to sell them but oh well…actually, amski, what would be the price difference if I asked for the next pair in wool? The pink and black ones you are getting ready to do for me that is.

It's craft show and tell. Doesn't mean she's trying to sell it or convince you that it's perfect. It could have been her first project, and I'll bet she's aware her work is not perfect. I'd say it's decent for an early attempt, and that blog is super mean.

I never get involved in these kinds of things, but this… this has gotten way out of control.

I agree, however, I don't think it right to bash someone on a blog. Its seems to be mostly knitters that are giving this person such a hard time…

NEVER have I EVER gotten something from a WAHM that was less than perfect and posted pics for everyone to see. IMO, that's just plain cruel. Communication about the quality of a product should be done personally, not in a public forum.

Just very sad. Appropriate feedback is all that is necessary..no need to bash someone on a public blog

Here's the thing . . . I'm a beginner knitter. I look at my finished products and I clearly see where I need to make improvements, and what parts of the project need more practice. The only use my knit longies have ever seen are on my DD overnight because I wouldn't even want to leave the house with her wearing them. I mean . . . I'm proud of them because they took a bunch of time and effort to knit, but they are the finished product of a beginner. They are NOT good enough to be sold to other mamas. My conscience would never allow me to take money for my knitting, the way it is now. I think *that* was the problem the mamas on the blog had; not that the knitting was sub-par, but that she is charging customers for it and that she is unwilling to listen to constructive criticism.

    Congrats, Momma, Super cute!

What was the yarn? I love the colors.
    Which pattern did you use?
Have they been blocked or lanolized yet?

I am knitting my first pair of longies for trade as i type, it is amazing!

  268. theinvisible says:

Or just the good parts LOL.

  269. Messy says:

It has good parts??? It is rainbows and sunshine, then a few people saying how to find the blog and those offended by the honesty over here :::wah wah wah good thing I don’t care!::: LOL

  270. Bloggitybloggity says:

256- You hit the nail on the head right there. Soooo many people are buying, selling, and trading diapering stuff comparable to turd nuggets. The people in that scale of buying and selling (who are usually stuck in that realm due to funding shortages ;) ) are going to have NO idea of what real products should look like. And that’s part of the reason why these craptacular WAHMs keep getting smoke blown up their ass and manage to make it all the way to HC with seams that are sewn like shit and knitting that could have been done by some grandmother’s feet.

  271. theinvisible says:

I like the ones offended by the honesty…the ones who think its mean to speak truthfully about WAHMs that suck.

  272. crunchymilf says:

Didn’t you know? We should all be willing to pay for craptacular longies in order to preserve the feelings of the WAHM.

Isn’t that why everyone is afraid to leave negative FB even in situations that really call for it? I see that all the time, all over the transaction feedback folder. I don’t know why people are so afraid of telling the TRUTH.

  273. theinvisible says:

Heehee, bloggity. But that’s absolutely true. I think a lot of them really truly don’t know. There was a mom who bought two of amski’s longies, one knit in acrylic (?) so there you go. And she thought they were just fabulous.

  274. diudiaole says:

#266 — do acrylic knit covers not work(like fleece vs wool interlock)? I was thinking of making some practice ones in acrylic so I don’t eff up my good yarn … but if they don’t hold in pee then there would be no point.

  275. theinvisible says:

I have never tried acrylic but it is my understanding that it does not work as a diaper cover. It isn’t absorbent so what isn’t blocked will soak through.

  276. Messy says:

Acrylic is just like fleece. It is pretty bullet proof if knitted or crocheted tightly. The difference between acrylic and wool is that acrylic has to be washed after each use but it can be tossed in the wash machine like fleece.

  277. diudiaole says:

Coolness… I will take a whack at it. lol but I don’t see how there would be much point of a WAHM making acrylic longies… I wouldn’t think anyone would pay enough to make it worth her time.

  278. Messy says:

A lot of people swear by acrylic because there is no special washing. Also, some people lanolize them for extra protection and say it works good.

  279. amessymama says:

259-Well, it’s kind of like the jacked up clay pumpkin my DS made at school in Oct., quite fugly. But beautiful to me. :)

  280. Messy, I am online for a minute. c&p and email to me at dsdramamama@yahoo.com and I’ll get it posted.

  281. Lolanae says:

Now 15 bucks cheaper! Guess they weren’t selling at 45 bucks a pop:

  282. theinvisible says:

I love the model for the gm transfer. I wonder how many crazed-soccer-mom types they looked at before choosing her.

  283. diudiaole says:

That model does have some crazy eyes…

  284. Messy says:

Just emailed it to ya TheDramaMama!!!

  285. I can’t seem to open it. It takes me to winzip.

  286. Bloggitybloggity says:

    277-278

Is she wearing a wig??? I think I may have nightmares now. She’s gonna be going all ape-shit on me at some ballet class. I can see her throwing her wig and popping an eyeball out in frustration. I don’t wanna sleep tonight.

  287. amessymama says:

Buy the goodmama sticker. You’ll like it. Buy it. BUY IT BITCH BEFORE I BUST A CAP IN YOUR ASS!!

That’s what the goodmama model is saying to me.

  288. diudiaole says:

She has the same air as that goodmama forum moderator… the one w/the headshot who thought the makers would not know what a joint is… like the Stepford Wives. The Good Mamas! a horror movie.

  289. Messy says:

Ok, resent it all as C&Ps in the email. Had to send it as two because one was too big.

  290. Lolanae says:

I’m lost. What is being C&P’d?

  291. kitty1163 says:

The model for the GM sticker is Jessica, the sister of Suzanne, the maker of GMs.

  292. theinvisible says:

I knew it was a real goodmama! There is just a certain elitist air that I always imagined (yes, kind of like that of cakemaven).

  293. magpiedpiper says:

She DOES have crazy eyes. Wowza.

  294. Aj says:

Do you think crazy will be able to avoid this one???http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=751903

  295. diudiaole says:

oh yeah that’s her UN.. the ‘famous’ one haha

  296. Messy says:

I had to go help that troll LOL

  297. insomiac says:

    http://hyenacart.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=113648

just had to ask over there to see if the same opinion is held as it seems to be at ds

I don’t get it. If someone posts something expect to hear the truth about it! Just like the strangling teether necklace lady. That was just crazy to me that people were being called big meanie heads for not just nodding and smiling that it was awesome rather than TRY and point out some very real truths about the idea.

    anyway.

    go vote,lol

  298. meagan says:

didn’t you guys figure out that EgoElfWIfe was the mother of amski or something??? she just posted to one of my fsot threads asking “how do i measure for longies”??

totally weird considering she would know how to measure right?? isn’t she the one who taught amski how to knit??

i love those yellow longies. is there someplace on DS that I could go to find out how to do measurements on my daughter to see what would fit her. i don’t understand all the measurements.

——heres the copy and paste of her post!

  300. faerie77girl says:

    Hahahaha!!!!!!!

  301. amessymama says:

305-I don’t think she really is amski’s mom. I just said that because she said she couldn’t see anything wrong w/ the fugliness that amski produced. Ya know, blinded by love.

  302. meagan says:

ah okay!! just checking cause i dont’ want her to buy my longies and then throw a bitch fit about them just for the hell of it!!
